AV Overhead Garage Door

Spring broke and coil snapped on my garage door. James came on a sat morning fixed everything and replaced worn wheels. Runs smooth as silk. Great service and fair price. Thank you!

hmm, my sticker on my garage door said consolidated, but last time I used them, must have sold their business to overhead door. my keypad broke, called the «st. charles number» I know they cost 20.00 at menards, they wanted $ 157.00 to come out and stick it on my wall, if I want to get screwed, I can go to a club
called Weber garage door in s. elgin came out the same day $ 55.00, they were in my area in st Charles and said service keeps their clients. plus the guy answering the phone at 8:30 am, I must have woke him up, steer clear!

My garage door spring broke this afternoon. I called AV since they are local. Within an hour I had a technician out and 30 min later the door was fixed with a new spring. Very professional, prompt courteous service! Highly recommend these guys!

Although we have used this company in the past without problems, the last experience left much to be desired. The spring on our door broke, and we called for repair. The good part is they came out right away. However, after working on the door the guy only opened the door, thought it worked, and then left. Problem was, it would not CLOSE. We didn’t realize this until later in the day. I would think opening AND closing a garage door would be a natural thing for a garage door company to do after performing work. Kind of like an electrician turning a new switch on and then off. Or a plumber checking the hot and cold water on a newly installed faucet. Common sense stuff.
AV was unable to come back that day to look at it. We were told they would call us back after giving us a lot of excuses about how it was probably the opener and not the repair they did. Well, we have never heard back from them.
Very disappointed. Will not use them again, and will not ever recommend them to any of our associates.

I initially corresponded via email to get a quote for a replacement door. Went into the showroom/​office to pay and schedule. It took about two weeks for the CHI brand door to come in. I felt good putting in a locally-​made door. No surprise charges or add-​ons.
On installation day, they showed up right on time and immediately got to work. Very friendly and professional installer that clearly knew exactly what he was doing. It took him around 3 hours for the full replacement (7′ double door) — which is exactly what they estimated.

If your garage door is broke, call these guys. I called them at 8am on Saturday morning, they arrived by 9 and had the garage up and working by 9:45. They replaced the spring and wheels.

Went with AV because they happened to carry the type of garage door that our HOA approved and they were in town. It’s pretty easy to set up a free consultation and you can pay with a credit card minus any fees by showing up at their store on Randall and North Avenue. Ordered a door on a Wednesday and it Came in the following Friday. Installation takes about 3 hours, but surprisingly they showed up on time! Can’t wait to have a garage again!
