Holiday Inn Express & Suites Saginaw

Fantastic service! We travel probably 250 days a year so I’m very familiar with hotels. The holiday inn express is always clean and comfortable beds. Not pet friendly and that is a huge plus for this allergy sufferer. Nathan here has been nothing but kind and always willing to go the extra mile as well as Marta. They both go above and beyond in a day and age when nobody cares anymore. They both have helped us every single time we stay and we stay here a lot. Thank you guys for always going the extra Mile. Avoid this hotel, I stayed four days and was later charged for another day about a week after the stay. I noticed this weeks later while doing an expense report and it took several phone calls to resolve. They ended up sending a check to me so I then had to pay my company credit card and explain the whole problem to the boss.
Completely ridiculous that they could not just credit my card and that it took five days and three phone calls to finally get a check, ten days later.
I would give zero stars if I could! Truly a shame because I work in this area several times a year and the hotel was clean and in a good location.

I walk in greeted by the front service staff, asking me what is the reason of my visit, checking in was a breeze, she was very helpful and asked me about my room location preference and informed me about the breakfast hours and pool, gym, spa locations.
I got the king suite, the room was of a good size had a small couch and a small study area, 37 inch TV hbo all that. it was also very clean with the name of the cleaning staff written on a note next to the bed.
definitely will be staying here again

I stay primarily in Holiday Inn Express’ throughout Michigan and this one is definitely one of the better ones I have stayed in. The pool and hot tub were large and nice. They had poolside rooms. The sauna was hot already. The fitness area was very large, almost like a mini-​health club
The room was quiet, bed was ok but not the greatest ever. Slept better in this one than any other in Michigan so far, I am a very light sleeper so quiet and dark are very important attributes.
The programmable thermostat and fan that I could lock on were very nice, I like extra white noise.
It really is in the middle of strip-​mall hell, but I would stay again happily

First off, the hotel is very nice. You can tell it’s newer, the décor is contemporary/​clean and our room (a queen suite) was HUGE. We also really appreciated the in-​room fridge (a good sized one, to boot), microwave and large flat screen TV. The pool was also a nice size and had a large hot tub. The free wifi was nice, as well. We did not eat the breakfast as we had a restaurant we wanted to go to. Lots of shopping and restaurants close by as well.
However, the walls are really thin — we could hear everything going on outside the front doors of the hotel (we were on the second floor right over the lobby) and in the hallway, and the hotel did not seem interested at all in enforcing their own rules about when kids needed to be out of the pool. We were hoping for some quiet adult time in the pool, and there were kids screaming and playing in the pool more than an hour after the hotel’s «kid’s curfew» time of 10pm.
These are all pretty typical issues, but the deal-​breaker for us was the beds. We had two couples staying in the room, and all four of us thought the beds were just plain awful. They were so hard, that no one got more than 4 or 5 hours of sleep total. I’m pretty sure the floor would have been more comfortable. Since my back isn’t the greatest, I have to say this reason alone means I’ll be finding someplace else to stay the next time I’m in the area.

This is a basic business hotel.
everything is clean and pretty well maintained, but this place is showing it’s age.
Free breakfast. popcorn, candy, and snacks throughout the day are nice touches.
pool and workout room are acceptable and clean.
Free wifi is strong.
Rooms are nice size and well maintained. bed is very comfortable.
Surrounded by strip mall hell.

I stay at over 50 different Holiday Inn hotels each year, so I know a good one when I see one. This is a clean, new hotel, with a beautiful lobby that’s in an area with plenty of restaurants and shopping. There are programmable thermostats (very important to me) and flat-​screen televisions in every room. I received a complimentary upgrade per my platinum Priority Club status, and what an upgrade it was! Usually my «upgrade» gets me a microwave and mini-​fridge, but I received what must have been the Presidential suite, as it had a large living room, jacuzzi, and separate bedroom.
The breakfast buffet was fully stocked in the morning, the USA Today was delivered outside of my room, and I received my final receipt under my door. This is one of the best Holiday Inn Expresses that I’ve been to in a long time. I highly recommend it if you are a business or family traveler.
