Established in 2006.

West One Security was established in 2006 by two veterans of the Security Industry — John Vucasovich and Richard Moore. Combined we have spent over 40 years in the industry! We have worked for several of the larger companies that you would recognize — Brinks, ADT, Westinghouse and Protection One, among others, gaining valuable knowledge and experience along the way. Tried calling several times to speak with company regarding an alarm for my new home. Both times I called it went to voice mail. Mailbox was full so I couldn’t even leave my info. Could this be a sign that perhaps I shouldn’t go with this company?

We are very happy we chose John and West One for our home security system. When we moved in there was another company’s system that was installed by the builder at the time the house was built but the service was not active. I did a lot of research on different companies and I am so happy we called John. He worked with our existing wiring and didn’t try to sell us anything we didn’t need. He charged us only $ 99 for the installation and that included changing out our box for the Honeywell/​GE system they use. West One has the best of both — great prices and excellent customer service. We signed a two year contract and I will update as needed — hopefully we will never have to get that call from the PD that our alarm was tripped — but that’s the whole point of getting a system, right? As a deterrent and as a way to keep the bad guys/​gals away. Thanks John!

I was looking to replace my 22 year old security system and after reading the Unilocal reviews I contacted the 3 top rated Security companies here. I got quotes from all 3 and West One beat all of them on cost, customer service and quality of the equipment. I can’t say enough good things about John. He really has his Customer’s best interests at heart. John won’t try to pressure you in any way and looks for ways to save you money by using components you already have. He even threw in a few extras! I was able to use all the existing sensors and added video cameras to my system. I am very pleased with what I got.
The only minus I would give is the installer didn’t bother to clean up after himself. It wasn’t a huge mess, but a minor annoyance.

Met with John today after talking with several other Alarm companies and he really knows how to make a person feel comfortable. Very upfront with everything including costs and equipment. Signed a two year contract with him and feel very confident that our house and belongings are going to be protected.

We just leased another office next door and ADT is our existing alarm service. We’ve had them for years. So we gave them a call to add the other office to the system. They were charging us $ 400 just for installation (that’s with existing sensors to work with).
So we thought this guy thinks he’s the only alarm company in the world.
Looked in Unilocal and talked to a John from West One. Told him what happened and he set an appointment.
He was professional, explained what we needed, but bottom line, he gave us the greatest deal. We told ADT about this. Unfortunately, we’re bound in a contract for a year and a half more. But they know they’re gone. My first impression of John is he knows how to keep customers happy or for that matter keep them.

John helped me get setup with an alarm system for my home. The first phone call was very different than the other experiences I had with some alarm companies. Instead of trying to give a sales pitch, John asked my main reasons for wanting an alarm and educated me on the different type of systems, how most break-​ins occur and how the monitoring system works.
John came by my house, checked out the layout, window and door openings and discussed in further detail about the different type of systems and monitoring packages. At no time, did I feel like he was trying to «hard sell» me on any of the products. He laid out the different monitoring options and companies and helped me make an informed decision. He didn’t pester me or nag me for a sale. His tech, Eduardo, came out the following week and installed my system. He was also very friendly and knowledgeable about the system.
All in all, I had a great experience with West One Security. John actually followed up a few weeks later to see how everything was going. Great guy that isn’t pushy and knows his stuff.
