Walmart Vision Center

Been going to this location for three years. Dr. Cooperman is one of the best optometrists I’ve ever had. Educated, down to earth, funny man. The prices are fair. The wait takes a while but I suppose because there’s only one doctor. I don’t know how the system works but I hope this center is treating you well Dr. Cooperman! Walmart definitely doesn’t deserve you.

They were awesome and friendly! Tammy and Nicole if I remember, were very helpful! And there was a young gentlemen that was also very helpful with scheduling me an appointment. You guys are the best.

$ 58 for a basic eye exam for glasses, which was the best value I found in Sacramento.
I wasn’t sure what I was going to get by going to Walmart for an eye exam, but I was pleasantly surprised with my overall experience. I waited a few extra minutes, but the staff was fairly prompt in getting me into my 3 o’clock appointment. Dr. Navrit Purewal, O.D. was the one that saw me and she was great. Very helpful and actually an eye doctor that I would go back to.
As I was leaving I glanced at their selection of frames and was a little peeved that I hadn’t just come here in the first place. They had some decent stuff, and at a much better price than what I was paying for the frames I had just purchased.
Verdict: for the quality of service and the price point, I would definitely check them out as a first stop for your eye care needs.

Came in on Mon and was helped right away, they had an opening for an exam in an hr but I ended up making an appt for Tue. Came in Tue and again was helped right away, very friendly and helpful staff, answering all my questions! Got all the necessary paperwork filled out and was taken back for the exam which was quick and easy, met with the Dr, who is just as great as his staff! Got in and out in about 45 mins. I will definitely come back for future eye exams.

Customer service is not good here. The selection isn’t great. You shouldn’t have to hunt down an associate help you to answer a question. Save some money and time and go somewhere else.

I’ve been here twice for a regular eye exam and for a contacts exam. Both visits have been pleasant. The staff are attentive and friendly. The selection and pricing of frames are provably the most competitive as well. I always leave satisfied with having my eye needs taken care of.

Very pleasant experience! I called on Tuesday and the nice lady on the phone set me up an appointment the next day. The exam was pretty fast and I found the exact ray bans I wanted. All the staff was very nice and helpful. I came out only paying $ 302 which is $ 150 less than I was expecting which is awesome! I will definitely continue to come to this location!

I really recommend this place to anyone who needs an eye exam or just to pick up some new glasses. From start to finish, the Dr. & staff were friendly, knowledgable, and speedy. The last time I had an eye exam and ordered glasses it was a four hour experience! Definitely will be going back for any of my vision needs in the future. I wanna give a shout out to Candice & Carmen who were the main employees who helped me out! You two were fantastic!

Had a very nice time picking out my new glasses and contacts at of all places, WALMART! Yup believe it or not they really do have great customer service at the vision center on Truxel Rd Wal-​Mart. I really do hope managers and higher ups read this because they have some really GREAT employees that work there. Susy H. helped me out twice and she was so friendly and knowledgeable about what I needed. Susy took the time to be courteous and efficient while getting me the help that I needed. Picking out glasses can be nerve-​racking sometimes and Susy really made me feel good about what I had picked out while guiding me the whole way. Thank you Susy, I haven’t had glasses since 1992 and you made me so very happy. Keep up the great work!

Great service and friendly staff. Dr. Cooperman amazing and very knowledgeable. Would of been in and out if I could of put my contacts in faster. Ha.

BEST DEAL in town. GREAT doctor, friendly staff, a very good selection of reasonably priced frames, and I’ll get my glasses in about a week!
Dr Cooperman is professional, courteous, and even funny! I had never had an eye exam before so was a bit nervous. I arrived early to fill out a medical history (basically one page, then a few signatures on another page), then was whisked into the back room for some preliminary tests (look at an eye chart, look in one device, then another, etc). After that, I had my exam with Dr Cooperman. The whole thing was quick, easy and painless!
NOTE: If you are having your eyes dilated, your entire exam will take about an hour or so (they have to wait about 20 minutes for your eyes to dilate). When your pupils are dilated, you go back to have them examined. Your eyes will be blurry for a while afterwards — so have someone there to drive you, or plan on shopping at the store for an hour or longer (they said recovery time varies). Also — Bring dark glasses as your eyes will be very sensitive to light (like a vampire!). But it’s worth it.
The complete exam was $ 58.
I also bought a cute pair of frames with UV protected lenses on top of that. A lot less than some of my friends have paid for glasses — and I’m not picky about having «designer» frames, I just wanted something that looked cute and fit my face properly. Overall very satisfied!

I’ve previously gone to LensCrafters, but was intent on finding a more economical choice. The lady on the phone told me it would be $ 114 for a contacts exam and $ 58 for glasses. She left me on hold for too long and I ended up having to call back to schedule my appointment.
Besides the phone mishap, staff was friendly & efficient. I was taken through the pre-​tests with a staff member before seeing the doctor. Dr. Cooperman was personable, friendly, and made me feel very comfortable. He was generous with free samples & useful tips for my dry eyes.
Their selection of glasses is minimal and organized by price. I didn’t love any of the frames, but didn’t mind spending $ 79 on a mediocre pair, considering I planned on only minimal wear. Glasses take 7 – 10 business days to arrive. My order of contacts arrived in four days.
A good Wal-​Mart related experience? Surprisingly, yes.

WOW! After my optometry office (Eye Designs at Arden Mall) lost my prescription and said I could pay for another one but would not be able to give me contacts the same day because «they have to wait a few days time before giving out contacts» I was forced to look else where. It was very disappointing being the entire family comes here and just dropped $ 1000 on eye exams, contacts and glasses 7 months prior. I was going to Hawaii the next day and there was no way I was going wearing glasses. I walked into Dr. Coopermans office with 30 minutes to spare before they closed in desperation of getting an exam and contacts. He actually stayed later so that I could get the exam done. To my surprise not only was he incredibly generous with his time, he was so personable and a pleasant person to talk too. I am definitely keeping Dr. Cooperman as my primary optometrist and switching the entire family over. How random to have walked in Walmart and found just an amazing doctor!

Really friendly and great honest optometrists. I broke my glasses on NYE from drunk shenanigans and was pretty much blind, he was nice enough to give me a pair of contacts to hold me over until my glasses came in. I really feel bad cause I ended up not getting glasses from there and got them from Zenni, which saved me LOADS of money. I wouldn’t recommend anywhere else for an eye exam, especially for the price.

Very, very, very skeptical at first — but, by word of mouth, a few local friends apparently recommended Dr. Cooperman. I was like, really … a doctor from WalMart Vision Center. And indeed, believe it or not… he is one of the BEST, BEST optometrist I’ve been too!
STAFF: the front lady is okay, but not much of a talker — like asking how are you today and all that good stuff. She’s just like — here, sign in and gave me more paper work. I guess she’s bored of her job — I would be too. I didn’t have to wait long until she took me back to pre-​examine my eyes. She did the air-​puffing one and she didn’t even warn my that the puffing thing is going to scare me… dude… it hella puffed me and I jumped! After that she took me to the doctor’s examine room. 4 stars!
DR. COOPERMAN: So, here’s a list why Dr. Cooperman is so awesome:
(1) Very FRIENDLY doctor! I LOVE HIM! Came in with a huge smile and asked me how I was, then we had a friendly conversation! He is such a talker and he loves to joke around — nice sense of humor! I love him! 5 stars!
(2) He tries to make his patients COMFORTABLE with him! He always made sure that all my questions are answered, and in fact, he made sure I had questions to ask him (now, that’s a fantastic doctor!). 5 stars!
(3) Made sure I had the right PRESCRIPTION: So, at first I tried the first lenses he have me, but it didn’t work out because it was hurting my eyes — and I told him that. Then Dr. Cooperman, took me back to the exam room to recheck to see what the problem is and he found out that… the first brand prescription doesn’t fit the pressure of my eyes. So, after he prescribed me another brand. Tried it on, and wow — it doesn’t hurt anymore! The last doctor I went to told me that I wasn’t use to that type of lens and it kept hurting my eyes — but, now I know (thanks to Dr. Cooperman) it depends on your eye pressure. 5 stars!
(4) He wrote another substitute prescription: because I cannot decide between the newly monthly prescription and my old daily prescription, he wrote me both, just in case I changed my mind! Just have to ask him for it and he’ll totally do it for you! 5 stars!
**OVERALL: 5 STARS AND BEYOND — for a fantastic DOCTOR! I definitely will come back next year for my new prescription!

Poor service. Staff unkempt. A general feeling of unkemptness throughout.
