Providing quality vision care to the Sacramento community is our number one priority at Natomas Optometry. Our office has two very knowledgeable doctors and 8 friendly staff members dedicated to fulfilling all of your eye care needs including: comprehensive eye exams, glasses & designer frames, contact lenses, LASIK consulatations, eye disease treatment, medical care, and pediatrics.

We offer a large selection of designer frames, including Oakley, Fendi, Nike, Gucci, Prada, Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs, Ray-​Ban, Dior, Maui Jim, Dolce & Gabbana, Lacoste, and many more!

Established in 2000.

Dr. Nakamura opened the doors to Natomas Optometry in 2000 to serve the eye care needs of local residents and surrounding regions.

Business Owner

Dr. Ryan S. Nakamura is a native of Sacramento and current Natomas resident. After attaining his undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of California, Davis in 1996, Dr. Nakamura went on to complete his Doctor of Optometry degree at University of California, Berkeley. He is also an active member of the Sacramento Valley Optometric Society, California Optometric Association, and American Optometric Association.

Dr. Myra Lew earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Integrative Biology with an emphasis in Human Biology from the University of California, Berkeley in 1997. Dr. Lew then pursued a Doctorate of Optometry degree at UC Berkeley. She has trained at the Oakland Veterans Hospital, Sacramento Kaiser Permanente, and American Eye Institute at Cedar-​Sanai Hospital in Los Angeles.

I have decided to update my review. I had previously left one that was less than stellar over some service issues. Dr. Ryan Nakamura then contacted me and addressed the situation and says that they will make sure to fix them for the future. He was polite, professional, and owned up to knowing about the problems I addressed and that they were in the works of being resolved. Thanks for being open to addressing issues that your clients have.

Great place. I needed to be seen quickly and had a short time frame and they got me in right away. The girls up front were very friendly and helpful and the office was clean and modern. I absolutely love this office. The receptionists are friendly and welcoming. You can schedule your appointments online.
Ive been visiting Dr. Nakamura for almost a decade now. He is AMAZING!!! Very knowledgeable and educates you on the health of your eye every time. He shows you benefits and feautures of different products that may help you and is always looking out for what is best for you. I asked him about laser eye surgery and he was honest telling me that my vision is really good and they wouldnt normally recommend it for a prescription like mines. Saved me money and time!
I had an appointment with the other Dr in the office once, and she was great, too! Helped me with an eye issue doctors at Kaiser Permanente failed to resolve over a 6 month time.

When I moved to Natomas in November of 2013, I began my search for a new eye doctor in the area. I found Natomas Optometry through my insurance provider’s location listing and couldn’t be happier with my decision to go there for all my vision care needs.
The doctors and staff are friendly and attentive, and the service is always on point. When my contacts are ready for pick-​up, I receive email/​text/​phone call notifications and can pick them up the same day.
Also, this place is open on Saturdays, which is super convenient for people who work Monday through Friday and can’t get time off to go to personal appointments during the week.
The interior is clean, modern, and spacious. It’s very welcoming to guests, and has a nice, quiet atmosphere. This will be my go-​to optometry specialist well into the foreseeable future.

Beautiful building, clean, spacious and modern.
The Doctors and staff are friendly and helpful. The selection of frames is huge! They have a ton of different styles and brands. They’re more than willing to help you find one that matches your style, personality and profession.
I love how friendly and kind the staff are and you can come in whenever to pick out frames or get adjustments, no appointment needed.

Loved this place! I found them from my benefit provider website and went to Unilocal,The reviews were accurate! It was very easy to get appointment scheduled, sometimes being a new patient it can take longer to confirm benefit coverage or other details to get in to see the doctor. I liked the text message reminders and confirmation. It was very clean modern environment and they have a Nice selection of high end frames. Dr Nakamura was very professional, he spoke to me about how to fully maximize my benefits, easily fit me for contacts and suggested a one week trial before committing to the prescription.
The rest of the staff was attentive and friendly!
I will absolutely return!

I always do my research before finding a new doc do I will post a thorough review since that’s what I look for.
I found this office via Unilocal when I lived near Natomas and I’ve been going there for the past 4 years. My husband and kids started going there last year and we all love the office… we now travel from Roseville.
I’ve had exams by both doctors and they’re equally great! Both have good bedside manners, take time, and don’t seemed annoyed with my questions or concerns. I’ve had very pleasant experiences with the front office staff as well. They’re even patient while I figure out which new glasses to get and will give honest opinions if asked. They have a huge selection of glasses and sun glasses. I’ve never felt pressured in any way to go for the more expensive options (frames, lenses, anti-​glare, etc.)
Also, they’re open Saturday’s which is super convenient :) and the new location is very spacious and so nice/​clean inside.

Best optometry office ever. The office staff is friendly, professional and helpful and Dr. Lew is just a delight! During my last visit, a woman brought in her two little monsters (kids) who literally started knocking over the leather chairs in the waiting area — the office staff kept their cool and handled everything with the utmost professionalism.
They always take the time to answer all of my questions and concerns and are also extremely patient when I take my precious time picking out a pair of glasses that suits me. I am also drawn to this office because of their extensive selection of designer frames. You will not regret coming here, Natomas Optometry is simply awesome.

It’s been a couple of years since I’ve had my eyes checked and received a reminder email that I probably should get checked out. As I looked up the address, I was pleasantly surprised that the office had moved to a new location. It’s a very bright and open layout. The office staff at the desk are very welcoming and help out with anything you could possibly need.
Being it was my first time getting glasses, I found their stock overwhelming as there is so much to choose from! However, I was comforted knowing that I had help from the ladies there to narrow down a pair that I really liked. As I tried on a few, they gave me their honest opinion of whether glasses looked okay on my round face or not! Thank you!
I highly recommend this office. Best part, if you work a Mon-​Friday schedule, they are open on Saturdays! Dr. Lew is super nice and awesome.
Yay! No more blurry computer screens for me!
