Our business Specializes in quality pet cuts. We are a mother daughter owned kennel free environment available 6 days of week. We pride ourselves in our work as well as our relationships with the animals. We have a 90% happy tail rate and we are proud of it! We accept all breeds and sizes of dogs and we have kitty cat days too. Our prices for full grooms start at 50.00. Our baths prices start as low as 18.00. We also offer discounted grooms by our student groomers.

We use 80% all natural products in our salon including our cleaning supplies. We love our clients and are very blessed to have the most awesome pet owners ever in my history of grooming! Give us a call for an appointment as we are an appointment only salon available on the open days listed. We PROMISE you will never have to wait more than 2 days for an appointment and that your pets will feel like they are at a spa play day! We can only accept dog friendly doggies to insure that all pets have a safe and fun environment and moms and dads can feel secure leaving their animals in our care.

History

Established in 2010.

Trixie sold her salon in Campus Commons and moved to midtown where she was able to keep some policies and drop others. Trixie started out at this salon all by herself before training her daughter Allie and contracting with Katie. Trixie has been grooming for ten years and now always has a trainee that learns at rescues and shelters before offering discounted grooms to customers willing to let them learn further. Trixie learned to love and respect each animal to get them to behave so well. She has over 30 senior clients who have followed her and stood by her for 12+ years. Her heart breaks over and over to have to say goodbye to old «furiends» but she is filled with joy to get a new puppy in their place.

Trixie’s loves all of their ‘Furiends’ and is eternally grateful for their love and support for the past 10 years! Come experience a true pupspa experience with a hot oil treatment or mud bath. Or come have a punk rock make over with Allies awesome doggie hair dye do’s.

Hands down this is the best grooming my dog has had. I have a mini schnauzer and took him in today for a nice, short summer cut. Typically I don’t like the way he looks after cuts and Craig wait for his fur to grow back in but the ladies at Trixi’s made sure he still looked just as cute as he did when I dropped him off. I also loved that he wasn’t stuck in a crate all day while waiting to get groomed or picked up, instead he got to play with the other dogs waiting for grooming. I can’t recommend the services at Trixi’s highly enough!

I brought my German Shepherd/​Golden Retriever mix Luna, for a bath and «framing» (shave around the legs and belly). They did a fantastic job!
I called on a Thursday and was able to get Luna in that Saturday. I was told it would be 4−41÷2 hours, however it was a rainy day, so it took longer than usual to dry Luna. So, if your dog has longer hair and it’s damp out, expect a longer wait. But, the wait was worth it because Luna looked and smelled great. I also went with the hot oil treatment, so Luna smelled like flowers.
PROs: Price, location, staff friendliness, and kennel free.
CONs: The entrance door is kind of awkward. Myself and another pet owner were picking up our pups and it felt a little crowded. No problems with the dogs, it’s just a tight space.
Highly recommend overall!

Our usual groomer was booked and becoming hard to get our dog into. I found this pet shop on Unilocal and decided to give it a shot because of its great reviews. We made an appointment a couple days in advance. The price was great and my dog came back happy and smelling wonderfully! The dog groomer Allie was very informative and super sweet. We will definitely be back.

This place is awesome — def bring your fur baby here! I love that it’s kennel free and the babies get to roam around. My pup is only 4.5 months old so I was nervous to take her in but she absolutely loved her bath. She was in for about an hour and a half. Came out smelling good and was super happy for the rest of her day :) Allie was nice and even recommended a couple local dog parks for my Peachy to go to. Peach and I will definitely be back! Thanks Unilocal for bringing me to Trixie’s!

I brought my Goldendoodle, Leopold (or Leo), here recently and was very pleased with the customer service and Leo’s haircut. I’ve taken Leo to a few places and this was his best haircut yet.
Scheduling: I originally scheduled a weekend appointment, but Leo needed a haircut pretty bad and they were able to fit me in sooner. Thank you!
Communication: Allie (sp?) did Leo’s haircut and was very open about how long it would take. Leo is a big dog, and she estimated that it would be 3 – 4 hours. She called me when he had about 15 minutes left, so I had time to drive over. She was very friendly and accommodating. Timing worked out perfectly. She also asked me a lot of questions about how I wanted his haircut and cut it perfectly.
Service/​Haircut: Leo was heavily matted in certain areas and had some redness on his skin. Allie treated him, and gave him a hot oil treatment too. His skin looks much better now. She was also able to get rid of his matting without totally shaving him bald, which I greatly appreciate. I think Leo gets a complex when his hair is too short, so he also appreciates this! ;) (Another place shaved him completely bald except for his head and tail; that was mildly horrifying for both of us.)
Pricing: Prices are extremely reasonable. For Leo, a large 90 lb dog with difficult hair and skin issues, it was $ 80 before tip. I’ve definitely paid more for bad/​not great dog-​haircuts, so I highly recommend going to Trixie’s!

1st visit: a cut under his armpit.
2nd visit: bad haircut uneven trim. I told myself it was no biggies. I did some minor trimming and fixed it myself.
3rd visit: left ear infection
4th visit: right ear infection and a bleeding toe/​claw.
While it has been extremely difficult especially with the vet visits each time after the ear infections, the groomer was sincere and apologetic. So I appreciated that. However, I am scared and hurt for my dog.

Very disappointed. Bad time management and bad cut. Not recommended.
I took my golden doodle service dog to Trixie’s yesterday and I am beyond upset about their service. I was quoted an hour and a half to two hours after I explained he was my service animal and I could not be without him all day. They had him a total of FOUR and a HALF hours, and the cut was horrible. I had told them I needed him presentable for public access, as any professional service dog should be.
To start with, they appear to have completely shaved his front right armpit area for no apparant reason. They asked if I wanted his eyelashes cut and I said, «Absolutely not.» Not only did they cut his eyelashes, they cut them unevenly.
I think they were trying to give him a standard poodle cut because his body was trimmed short, but the legs and hips were srill long and poofy. I had asked for a shorter, easy to manage cut, and this is not it. They also cut the hairs on his snout totally crooked, and the cut generally looks really choppy. His tail is cut very unevenly as well.
I picked this groomer because they seemed to have good reviews here, could get my dog in the next day, and had reasonable prices. I ended up waiting in my car outside the shop for the last hour and a half he was in there, because of the time frame I was quoted. I was very worried when I had dropped him off at noon and it was now starting to get dark. They should have called me sooner with more updates.

I’ve never taken my frenchie Gatsby to a groomer before. After asking around doing research and looking at Unilocal trixies stood out the most to me.
I emailed and quickly received a response even though it was after hours. I was able to bring him in the next morning.
Coming in was at first intimating because the expanding construction but nonetheless I was able to meet Katie who made the whole experience amazing.
Gatsby was able to socialize and get comfortable before me leaving.
He looks amazing, he even has even more confidence. I will be coming back to this place. Thanks Katie for being so great

I recently moved to West Sacramento and I needed to get my dogs hair groomed since it was growing so long and they’ve been so dirty from playing in the sand and grass so I came upon this place on Unilocal.Great service! Great price! I got a full hair cut for both my dogs for less than $ 100!The hair cut turned out absolutely gorgeous. She was able to get both my dogs hair groomed very short just the way I like it. The previous place I went to, they said they couldn’t cut my dogs hair short and that they did the best they can. The lady here also talked to me about my girl dog’s rashes and told me what I can do to help the rashes. (Unlike the previous place I took my dogs to.) I highly recommend this place and will continue to come here!

Our Scottish Terriers were so happy to see Trixie, especially my Whiskey! His eyes were bright & opened wide, he was smiling the entire time!
Waylon, my shy and somewhat unruly boy, was good for Trixie! I think he missed her too!
I made the mistake of taking them to another groomer while Trixie was on leave. A BIG mistake I will not repeat!
Trixie gives a lot of attention to detail with the Scotty hair cut. She is bringing my boys look back as the other groomer chopped off their eye lashes & brows!

Great place for my Yorkie. I recently moved down to Sac and needed a new groomer for my little Yorkie. I noticed she stared scratching in the afternoon and thought well it’s definitely time for a bath and a haircut for his little one. Trixie’s littlest pet shop squeezed her in on a last minute call, come to find out my poor girl had fleas. I could not believe it, where I am from fleas do not exist. The owner calmed me down and educated me about the area and how there was an epidemic in the sac area due to weather and everything else, how to treat fleas and what to do in my house to help prevent this from happening. I am so thankful for the advice and my little yorkie is once again flea free and happy. She also treated my girl with a hot oil soothing treatment. Definitely will be back!

Here at Trixies we value our customers and the relationship we have with the dogs. We are a kennel free environment, which makes all of our guests excited to come visit. We are also working on purchasing more organic and paraben free products for our pups. Since I will be taking over by next year I want to welcome all new customers and just introduce myself. I have been working with dogs for as long as I can remember and have been training with my mom for the last two years. This is my first year grooming and so far it’s been successful. Trixie has taught me her style of grooming and I have also incorporated some of my own. We are open by appointment only Monday through Saturday. I work in sales and customer service is everything to me! I had a really bad experience at another groomer over a year ago and have been so hesitant to try another. My dog desperately needed his hair done. I came across this groomer on Unilocal because of the reviews and wasn’t disappointed! I love how personable they are! They give you text updates, fast, and overall my pup looked like a little hamster! I couldn’t help but laugh when I picked him up. He is so cute! I will definitely be back!

Finding a groomer is like finding a new hair dresser for yourself…
I brought my little bichon mix here after picking him up from my parents in Sacramento who watched him while we went on vacation. We came from the Bay Area and I didn’t want to bring him home dirty (weather had been bad and they have a big backyard he got plenty dirty in).
Anyway chose this place based on the high reviews and I was lucky enough to get fit in on the same day. He came back looking the cutest and cleanest I have ever seen and their prices are very reasonable. The service was awesome and the ladies were so sweet. All the pups I saw when I walked in looked happy and clean. There were big dogs and small dogs and all of them looked great.
I visit my parents pretty often and I will definitely be bringing my pup here when we visit to get his grooming.

So I work at Capsity a few doors over, always cross this place and have been so curious about taking my pup here!
I love the art on the side of the building and the cool, «my special spot I go to» vibe the place has going on. Like you know the people that go there love it for some reason.
Anywho, I took Fergie on in and she was treated like the little fab queen she is lol. Tracy was so cool, and instantly made Fergie and I feel at home and comfortable. All of the cute doggies in there all seemed happy and comfortable as well which was really cool.
Fergie came out with a super cute medium cocker cut and is rocking the town with two bows to boot. Tracy even gave her a complimentary hot oil treatment and found and removed 3 ticks from her crazy coat!!!
I learned how to better care for fergie ferg too and make her life a lot better. Basically… the coveted 5 star review is awarded to this place for the obvious reasons. They care about your pet, you, and know 100% what they’re doing. All for a reasonable awesome price!

I’m so glad I found this place several months ago. My cat is a monster when it comes to getting her nails trimmed (don’t let the cuteness fool you). Tracy and her team handle Petunia so well. They have a great device that shields Petunia from see what’s going on and they are very gentle with her.
Whenever I go there they are busy grooming dogs, all of whom seem very happy and at pease by being there. That says a lot to me.
I truly appreciate how they take care of Petunia.

I just switched groomers as I moved away from my old one and I was worried I wouldn’t be able to find someone who understood what I wanted and treated my dog with love and kindness.
I found Trixie’s on Unilocal with her great reviews. I have a Yorkshire Terrier who at times doesn’t like the groomers but he did great.
I dropped him off and a few hours later I had an adorable little guy with a great cut. She was able to do exactly what I had envisioned for his cut. Usually he gets a super short summer cut but I felt like he looked too naked when I got him back, so she was able to help me by keeping his leg hair alittle longer and then not shaving his body as much. When I picked him up he was ADORABLE! Just what I wanted!
I think he looks like a little puppy now and I’m so glad I found her. He also was able to get in some good socialization with other dogs as she doesn’t kennel the animals there unless it’s needed.
Definitely going back!
