Superior Pet Grooming

Kitty and doggie are clean and soft. They pay attention to the let’s and try not to make them uncomfortable I am satisfied with how my pets were clean and treated.

Is convenient and is close. So to get my 2 dogs clean and cut is good. Don’t expect too much. They don’t know how to style or anything. Just wash and cut.

Amazing. That the only way to describe it. The place itself are very friendly, good service.
The prices are extremely reasonable bath, brush, nail trim, hair cut got her ears clean for only $ 35 dollars. They did a pretty good job of it for the price range. I highly recommend it. If you’re looking for some thing new.

I can not even give this place a star they desver a zero. I came into there shop today just for a bath and blow dry, on a full grown standard poodle. I asked the groomer if they had experience with poodles and she said «we groom big dogs all the time» i ask how long it would take she said «about 30 but more time to dry». My dog was in a full continental show groom. I went next door to have a bite to eat and when i got back 30 minutes later my dog was on the table gettig brushed. I was apauled to see nothing but dog hair on the floor and dogs swiming in dirty dog hair. When I felt his hair, it did not feel clean. Went home my dog hair was in knots everywhere. I could not comb his hair without braking it. I took him back and demanded a refund. The owner was not there and i plan to go and have a word with her about my expirence. It took me over an hour to get the mates out of my dog. Bottom line i have a bag full of dog hair from all the knots and mates. I tryed to make it as painless as posible but my dog sufferd quite a bit from pullin out his hair. They ruined his coat and its going to take a long time to get it back. I would never use this establishment and would suggest to think twice before taking your dog there.

Brought two of my little dogs here and they came out happy (not stressed like other places I’ve taken them) and they looked fabulous! Their prices are comparable to other places. I actually think it went up in the past year. Ahhh. inflation! (Still reasonable when compared to other places, plus she has a staff now so of course she has to pay them.) They have cages for small dogs to chill in while they wait. Glad they put both my dogs in the same cage so they are comfortable. They were communicative and called when they run into issues with grooming. They have always been super friendly when I call in to get a status. Expect that your dog will take three hours for a bath and a groom. Understandably, dogs are harder to groom then people. They fidget, they have curves and crevices and they have their own special styles. After 3 hours, my dogs came out looking wonderful, clean, happy and ready to play. Great job Superior Pet Grooming! I should add that it is normal to tip the dog groomers. I couldn’t believe this young man had worked all day grooming dogs and I was the *first* one to tip him at 5:30 p.m. I felt really bad for this guy, as he was such a sweetheart to my dogs and was so complimentary towards them, that I could not believe people were failing to tip him ALL DAY!
If you tip your hair dresser, you should tip the guy cleaning up after your dogs and making them look and smell good. They do things your hairdresser would never do (doggie anal cleaning) so please be kind and TIP!

In love with superior pet grooming! I was looking for a groomer for my new puppy. Ming is so sweet and you can tell she really loves animals. She treats my little Jenna like her very own and always gives her the best cuts. She is also very reasonably priced and is quick! Ming is so great at working around your schedule. The service is awesome.

My 2 dogs recently groomed here are totally exhibiting these behaviors. It has been difficult & worrisome to see them acting so noticeably different lately. I even took them to the vet to get checked out! For the stress & discomfort on my poor dogs & myself– do not bring your pets here…

I took my dog in this morning for an appointment to get groomed at 10:00am. There were about seven dogs there so she tied her up to the wall and at 11:20 Sharon called & said your dog is sick come get her. When I picked her up she was foaming at the mouth & she couldn’t walk straight. She has now died, she was perfectly fine & happy when I left her this morning. I don’t know what could have happened all of a sudden. I did notice that they don’t require shot records like most all other groomers.

This is a no nonsense groomer that we’re lucky to have in the neighborhood. I took my longhair dachshund mix for a full service groom and I was happy. I have never seen the shop *that* busy like other shops I’ve been to. This is a plus. I’ve used other groomers that keep my dogs up to 9 hours because they overbooked. The owner is a nice lady and the technicians really seem to love animals.

Terrible service! We made an appointment for a Saturday morning and were the first ones in the door. It took over 2 hours for them to give our short-​haired dog a bath and nail clipping. When I called after two hours had passed, they told me it took so long because Saturdays are their busiest day. My dog already hates getting groomed so 2 hours there was like torture to her. I will never go there again and would never recommend them to anybody.

Not a good business. I’ve taken my dogs there several times, and today was the last straw. I’ve heard the owner yell at the dogs. One time I called to see if she could take my dogs and she said yes, but when I took them in, there was nowhere to put them. She said bring them now, even though I could have brought them later when they actually had time, but she told me to bring them then and intended to keep them there waiting for hours, but she had no more kennels available and all the hooks on the walls had dogs tied to them. She tried to tie my dogs to one of the tables in the middle of the room! One of my dogs is from the shelter and gets terrified of the groomer, so having him sit in the middle of the room for hours before being groomed was out of the question! I ended up taking them home and bringing them back when she could take them. Today, I called to see if she could take one of my dogs, and she said yes, bring her now. Knowing better, asked if she could actually take her now or if I should bring her in at a later time. She said no, bring her now, they could take her. So I did. I got there, the shop was closed and locked up! No one was there! I called her and she said she’d call the groomer and call me back. When she called back, she told me the groomer has gone home because she was done with the appointments and wouldn’t be coming back! I drove over there for nothing. Then she asked me if I could come another day. Absolutely not! I’m not giving them my business ever again!
If you want a place that is about the same price but with wonderful customer service, call the Pet Inn on Freeport and Meadowview. You’ll want to make your appointments in advance because they book up quickly (due to the excellent customer service and employees who actually like animals). Your pets will treated lovingly, and they actually keep their appointment times.

They have a new groomer her name is Jennifer. She is wonderful. Very patient with matted dogs. I would definitely bring Ricky and Lucy back here…

I absolutely love this place! We have been taking our Bichon/​poodle mix (Zoey) there since they opened. They always take great care of Zoey. They listen to how we like her groomed and the execution is always stellar! The customer service is great and they are always amazingly friendly. Zoey seems to enjoy herself… she just loves everyone! I have recommended them to many friends in the area. Keep up the great work.

My dog is very anxious and hasn’t done well at most groomers. Sharon is calm and patient with Milo, and does a beautiful, injury-​free job. Best of all, Milo seems happy and content when I pick him up. I am able to make an appointment so my dog is never there for more than an hour, which I have not been able to do with any other groomer. Highly recommended!

I’ve been bringing my dog here for a while and have felt bad about not leaving a review for a while so here it goes.
This is my go-​to place to get my poodle looking sharp. Sharon (the owner?) recognizes me by voice when I call and is kind enough to make time around my crazy schedule to give my dog a cut and I tip accordingly. It’s not fancy or pretentious (plenty of nearby places if you’re into being pretentious) but it gets the job done. I’ve watched her from afar and she is pretty sweet to my dog, who is a well-​behaved and sweet guy in general.
P. S. Why would any dog NOT be depressed if it’s sitting in crates away from home all day in a place he’s unfamiliar with??? Maybe you should pick up your dog when it’s done getting a cut. Or schedule an appointment to avoid leaving it there all day? You think the business is the one choosing to leave dogs there all day? … … … If you’re leaving your dog at any groomer for an extended period of time, you’re not doing it right and certainly aren’t as good of an owner as you’d obviously like to think you are.

This place stinks! The owner claims she leaves the ac on but she opens the front door for fresh air. Liar! Its always hot. All the dogs look so miserable! So treat your dog by going somewhere else.

I have a kitten that I brought here to have her nails trimmed. The owner was super helpful, we waited maybe 2 minutes before she helped us and then she even recommended me to a vet and have me a coupon. I will be coming here regularly.

This place is a HOLE! No one should take their animals here!
The woman who works here keeps the dogs in crates all day while she makes personal phone calls!
The dogs are stressed out and act depressed from being in the crates such a long time.
EDIT 9÷2÷14−−−−−− I feel compelled to expand on the above sentence after the passive aggressive comment in Robert’s review. I do not bring my own dogs here. I test any new grooming salon with toenail trims ONLY. I figure that is a safe way to check a groomer and a shop. I have used this salon for nail trims twice and never left my animals here alone. While I waited for the trims, I noticed the behavior of OTHER PEOPLE’S pets. After what I have witnessed in this dirty, run down ‘salon’ there is no way I would bring my pets here again. If other people are fine with leaving their animals in a ghetto of a shop, that’s fine, but some of us are fine paying a bit more for something better-​yet-​not-​pretentious.
Also, during my two visits, I was never asked for proof of rabies shots. This is something every other groomer has asked. It’s something every groomer should ask, regardless of grooming service.
Pay more and take them anywhere but here.

I’ve been coming here since they opened. Sharon (the owner, I think) does a great job at grooming my two Yorkies. Making appointments are easy, I just call her up and I get scheduled right away. If the answering machines picks up, Sharon is prompt to return my phone calls as well. My Yorkies always come back looking well groomed and topped off with a cute scarf! This place is in my local area and more affordable then other places I’ve been to. Plus my dogs are not in there all day. They are finished in a couple hours, so less stress on the dogs. Overall, it’s a small, clean, local pet grooming salon that does great work.
