Specialties
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul provides assistance to those in need on a person-to-person basis by visiting them in their homes. This personal contact with the poor, suffering, lonely and neglected in the home visits promote friendship with those we serve and enable our Vincentians to more fully understand the suffering of those we visit and to best assess their needs. The aid we provide most often includes direct financial assistance for rent, utilities, transportation, clothing, food, and furniture, as well as consultation, referral and intervention services. The Society conducts its work while maintaining the confidentiality and dignity of those served. Approximately 20 million people are helped annually throughout the United States by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. We help anyone in need.
