Spring Forward with Seasons 52

I flew solo to this YEE but am so glad I didn’t pass it up. Met fellow Unilocalers Elaine F., Deanna J. and Joe K.
I hardly go to Arden Fair Mall, but vaguely remember they were renovating and had signs for Seasons 52 coming soon last year… and what a classy addition to the mall it is! The restaurant is beautiful, and we had the patio area outside (left of the bar) all to ourselves, with glass fireplaces and heaters to doubly keep us warm, set the atmosphere, and literally act as a barrier to wind, mall passersby, and the parking lot. It really made you forget you were at the mall!
Tables, chairs, and couches were set up with Unilocal swag sunglasses and tins of mints. We definitely rocked those sunglasses as the sun set and even after dark! Two drink tickets each, and I used both toward the sparkling white Portugese wine, yum. The food was great, with servers walking through with trays of lemongrass scallop skewers, stuffed mushrooms, chicken skewers, shrimp quesadillas, and two kinds of flatbreads. For the whole two hours the food just kept coming!
A little sad they didn’t showcase their dessert offerings (darling shooters) but overall a great event! Will be back to Seasons 52 soon.

Sunshine, delicious food, yummy wine, and great company. What’s not to love?
We arrived early and decided to check out the bar. A man was sitting inside the rounded bar area with a small electric piano singing. He was great: not so loud as to interrupt conversation, but loud enough to add great atmosphere. The songs ranged from oldies like Pretty Woman to modern top 40 hits, and even selections from my beloved 90’s rock days. The bar tender was very friendly and informative. We asked questions about the company, the wines, and the food. She had great answers for everything, and suggested a South African white to start our evening. As a strict California wine girl, I hesitatingly acquiesced. I’m glad I did, it was awesome!
We had a front row seat for people arriving early, and I was so glad to see familiar faces and finally meet some new ones! The event was great: the passed appetizers were all delicious, and more food than I could eat! The two drink tickets got us a choice of beer, red wine, or white. I stuck with the white, which was refreshing and delicious.
The only downside to the event was something that makes me sound soooo lame, I know: the lack of name tags. At first I was thinking, «Thank goodness! No cheesy name tags to get stuck in my hair!» But as the evening progressed, I realized that there were a lot of new faces I didn’t recognize, and I had no idea who everyone was! I realized that the name tags, cheesy and silly as they are, are a great help to the socially anxious types like myself, who find it hard to approach «strangers.»
All in all, a great event, and a lovely spot that we will be checking out for dinner very soon!

I’m probably one of the few people who’s never heard of Seasons 52, so I didn’t know what to expect, but I came out of this event already looking forward to my next visit to Seasons 52. The food that was served was simply amazing. My favorites were the Shrimp Quesadillas and Lemon Grass Scallops. Oh and how can I forget about the Garlic Pesto Chicken Flatbread and Artichoke Parmesan Crostini’s. Mmmmm. The two free drinks was an awesome touch! Now looking back, I don’t know why I didn’t try the wine. After all, I was at a pretty fancy upscale restaurant, so why not play the part? Instead, I stuck with ONE beer. Oh wells, next time!
It was great to finally meet a lot of people I connect with on Unilocal,like my Unilocal BFF, Danielle O and her fiancé, James. It was also a pleasure to meet Donovan H and Joe K in the flesh. I hope to talk to all of them, along with many of the other Elites, at the next Unilocal event.
Thanks again to Alex L and Unilocal for yet another memorable Unilocal event! And also, a HUGE ‘thank you’ to the staff at Seasons 52. They were all very gracious and friendly.

Excellent venue for an elite party! Large patio filled with fellow elite Unilocalers and their +1s. With a grand packed patio like that forces everyone to squeeze in and mingle with one another. Excellent idea if that was planned by our CM Alex. First outdoor Unilocal elite event for me and lucky for us the temperature and weather was nothing but perfect! I finally got a hold of one of those infamous Unilocal sunglasses!
I was blown away by the upscale look of Seasons 52. I will have to come back to give this place a real try and review. Because the scallops, the flatbreads and chicken on a stick were all wonderful. My favorite of all were definitely the pesto spinach flatbreads. Great variety of folks and was able to meet some new Unilocal eliters there. The place is very classy and coming back here would be cause to wear a dress shirt and tie as I did that night. Good crowd and everyone was very friendly. No raffle but likewise everything was cost free and I got to go home with some fancy looking Unilocal shades. Great event thanks for the invite! I will definitely come back to this place next week to try out their menu but more specifically that dessert platter I’ve been seeing on their Unilocal page. fancy!

What a great way to start off the week! I feel so lucky to have been able to be apart of this event because it was awesome! Seasons 52 is a fantastic addition to Arden Fair Mall with a gorgeous patio, perfect for sipping cocktails after a long day of work. Don’t worry, there’s fire pit (& beer!) to keep you warm on cooler nights. I loved throwing on my favorite red Unilocal sunnies, sipping wine, & relaxing with my fellow Unilocalers. The appetizers were delicious as well & if they’re any indication of how good the food is, I will definitely be visiting Seasons 52 again. I especially liked those stuffed mushrooms, yummmmmy. And a shout out to all the servers that night as well, they were really helpful & friendly.
Thanks Unilocal,Alex, & Seasons 52 for hosting a great event! One of the best parts about being apart of the Sacramento Unilocal community is the creativity, diversity, and spirit in every event! I love how we get to visit so many different types of venues, each with their own flair. They can be laid back, elegant, wild, and relaxing, I never know what to expect, which is great!

Seasons 52 is such a great restaurant to have this event at. I’ve never been here before, but I had such a great experience here! I like the vibe of this restaurant!
The YEE was held in the patio, and there’s heaters up above so if it’s chilly, it’ll be fine. It was slightly sunny around 7−8pm but there were Unilocal sunglasses and mint on the table to help us out!
Servers came out with appetizers. They were patient, friendly and explained the appetizers. There were a lot of flatbread. My favorite was the chicken garlic pesto flatbread, so delicious! Everything is also low in calorie as well! So great food + less calories, awesome! Servers were also kind about helping us with our drinks.
Overall, it was a great event and great to see and meet fellow Unilocalers around!

We almost missed out on this event when Joe K. had a sudden medical emergency right at the time we were supposed to RSVP. But lucky for us, Danielle O. and James W. came to our rescue and included us as their plus 1’s! Thank you Danielle & James for your thoughtfulness! We were able to attend this Elite event and I couldn’t have been happier being reunited with our group of Unilocal friends that I had missed seeing at the last few events.
Seasons 52 was the perfect back drop for this Unilocal Elite event. It is located in the Arden Fair mall which was the former Fresh Choice restaurant. This establishment features a lot of what I love when eating at a class A restaurant! First off, a nice, romantic dining experience, a warm and inviting protected outdoor patio area complete with multiple glass enclosed fireplaces, comfy seating, a piano bar, and best of all — delicious, healthy food that boasts 475 calories or less!
The patio was reserved for our gathering and quickly filled up like moths to a flame, literally! Friendly staff members did a nice job moving through the crowd offering samples of some of their specialties. Although I didn’t get to try everything, I got to eat a few shrimp quesadillas, Lemon Grass Sea Scallops, Stuffed Mushrooms and Cremini FlatBread. I only wish the servings were larger because they left me wanting more! (One way to lure patrons back to try their menu)! Complimentary wine and beer was also served that definitely made a hit with our party. I’m not a wine connoisseur, but tried the Aleveda Vinho Verde and really enjoyed the light, sweet flavor. I was hoping to get a second free glass of wine, but lost the drink ticket in my purse. It was a stupid thing for me to do knowing how my purse tends to swallow items whole. By the time I finally found my ticket, the evening was sadly over and the bar station was vacant of anything resembling a drink…
Just another perfect party that Alex L. never fails to throw together! Great way to show off an awesome, guilt free dining experience to Sacramento!

This lovely little event took place at the new and posh Seasons 52 restaurant in the Arden Fair mall. What is a swanky little place like this doing at the Arden Fair Mall?
Our party actually took place on their patio which has plenty of gas flames to not only keep you warm, but also light up the night and add ambience. Even though it was a windy chilly night, I never felt cold. It could have been all of the warm Unilocaler that I was surrounded by. Speaking of warm Unilocalers:
It was great seeing all of my old Unilocal friends: Scott & Cindy, Chris & Jessica, Brian & Holly, Christy, Priya, Hung, Tyffany K., Tara H., Donovan, Carol P., and anyone I might have missed.
It was great meeting Douglas Y., Elaine F., Patrick Y., Jane Y., Michelle L., and Jackie T for the first time. I hope to be able to hang out with all of you again in the future. It would be great to see you at some of the UYE’s. They usually don’t have as many people and it is much easier to get to know people better. I look forward to bicycling with Elaine F. this Sunday.
I think I may have seen Sara B. there but unfortunately did not get a chance to meet her.

Had a great time catching up with folks, checking out the former Fresh Choice and sampling the menu offerings from Seasons 52. Love what they done to da place. There is a keyboardist in the bar area, fires blazing on the patio and comfy seating outdoors. And you’re at Arden Fair Mall. Seriously.
Was a pleasure as always to hang out with Joe K & Ida — Joe looks great considering where he was not too long ago. Also Donovan H, Brian B & Holly M, Priya, Sunny L, Douglas Y, Patrick Y, Everett of Unilocal Talk Thread fame, Tara H our own Alex L… and I FINALLY got to meet the ubiquitous Danielle O!
The Unilocaltures were out in full force sampling the flabreads, scallops, chicken skewers and quesadillas. Wow, if this stuff is considered «under 480 calories» then sign me up!

Haven’t been to a Unilocal Elite Event in forever and this was a great comeback!
Honestly, I had no idea what in the heck Seasons 52 was. I haven’t been to Arden in more than a year so I was surprised that Seasons 52 took over Fresh Choice.
My boyfriend (my +1) and I walked into Seasons 52 and it was nice. I mean I gotta admit, for me it’s a weird location to have a fancy restaurant like that in that location (I was expecting Downtown Sac), but not bad Seasons 52, not bad at all.
As we walked towards the actual event, we were awesomely greeted by a Unilocal staff and our empty hands were kindly stamped while being handed two tickets for drinks. Of course, I instantly wanted to get rid of those tickets so I made my way towards the drinks and got myself some Merlot =) That Merlot was actually tasty and I liked it! I didn’t struggle swallowing it down and my gag reflex didn’t come out to play.
The best part (aside from all the cool Unilocalers around me socializing and looking all cool) was the FOOD; I tried to get as many names and ingredients as I could but I was too busy fighting and racing people to get those bad boys because they ran out faster than gas. Therefore, I will name out exactly how I put it on my phone when I was taking notes last night:
— Parmesan Artichoke Crustini = Loved the artichoke, but not a big fan of the BBQ sauce drizzled on top; I didn’t really think the flavors complemented each other.
— Shrimp Quesadilla = enjoyed it very much; very tasty and delicious
— Mushroom on a Stick = who doesn’t like shrooms?!
— Chicken Flatbread = wonderful
— Lemongrass Scallop = amazeballs
— Tomato Flatbread = one of my favorites
— Chicken Pesto Flatbread = loved it, but too much garlic
— Steak and Mushroom Flatbread = delightful
— Chicken on a Stick = just okay; chicken was overcooked but then again better to be overcooked than raw I guess.
All in all, twas a great night, even though I was bummed that I didn’t get sunglasses? How did you guys get those? Not that I don’t love my Minty Fresh Unilocal Mints, but I want them shades too!
Loved their food; it was refreshing and very light on the stomach.
Their flatbreads are frikken to die for.
I will absolutely come back here just for their flatbread and wine =)

Awesome event!
Everyone was seated at the outdoor patio to accommodate the huge turn out of at least 100 Unilocalers. With the sun blazing in everyones eyes, Unilocal was kind enough to provide Unilocal shades which was very cool along with the other swag of mints and ball point pens.
The décor and fire pits in the patio area made me feel like i was at a luxury resort. With the servers provide complementary appetizers, beer and wine, I thought i was in Napa for a moment.
Service was an A+ as they were very friendly and attentive. The bartenders that provided us the drinks were very accommodating also as i wanted a sprite for my wife, she inside the restaurant and came back with a glass of sprite, free of charge. I tipped her out for her friendly jester.
Food: Flat bread pizza with arugula — cheese, minced chicken pieces, basil, balsamic vinegar, topped with a load of arugula. Very tasty, flat bread could of been cooked a little bit long as it was pretty flimsy when i took it from the tray.
Artichoke crispy squares: very crunchy and sweet with a soft artichoke topper.
Mini quesadilla: cheese and salsa filled between a toasted crispy tortilla. Very good and bite size snack.
BBQ chicken skewer sticks: strip of chicken breast dunked in BBQ sauce and sprinkle of black and white sesame seeds. Chicken was good but just a little dry IMO.
Seared Scallops: Very Delicious. I swear every time the server walked by with that dish, everyone would hoard her by grabbing at least 2 each. I had my fair share of it so i was happy.
Overall, like i said, Awesome event, Great food, Excellent service and Beautiful Ambiance!

What a terrific event! Season 52 really brought their A game with this one. So many delicious appetizers, and the wine was very good. My favorite apps were probably the artichoke crostinis and scallops. I mean, come on, scallops!
The lounge area was really nice, with a lot of glass enclosed flames and couches. I could definitely see how this is a prime spot for corporate events and what not. It felt a little warm early on when the sun was still up, but the heaters were nice once the temperature dropped a bit. The staff was friendly and courteous. My only minor issue was the lack of trash bins, making me feel guilty for constantly handing off my leftover skewer sticks to smiling staff members.
I hope all future Unilocal elite events are done with this level of professionalism and attention to detail. Seasons 52 and Unilocal really outdid themselves this time.

Oh what a night! Elite it was, and I love what they did to the former Fresh Choice location. The patio area will draw in the crowd from the mall and other restaurants because it is eye catching with the placement of fire pits and ambiance of somewhere else that doesn’t scream «mall» location.
The appetizers served were fantastic! I didn’t really notice them being served during the first part of the evening when I got there, but then they came in droves, and I was digging every single one of them! My absolute favorites were the grilled scallops, the steak and mushroom flatbreads, and the shrimp quesadilla things. I can vision many warm evenings hanging out with friends here sharing a plates of these over drinks. Not a lot to choose from on the beer and wine selections, but I’m not complaining.
I will be coming back to check out the rest of the menu that folks were speaking highly of, and even for happy hours inside to listen to live piano singers.

Kudos to Alex for finding such an exotic patio location in such an unexpected location. Seasons 52 has some serious luxury island retreat atmospheric elements going on with an array of fireplaces and some comfy patio furniture.
The generous people at Seasons 52 were offering up some unique tasty bites like shrimp quesadillas and healthy (but tasty) chicken skewers. This is definitely one of those cases where I can see myself returning for the full dining experience, or at least a relaxing patio beer when I need to escape the madness of the mall.

Our second Elite event and boy what a AWESOME venue! Season’s 52 is a ultra swank wine bar/​restaurant. The event was held in the outdoor patio which was heated with a beautiful gas flame fireplace that ran along the outside wall of the patio. We had a drink station on both ends of the patio serving quenching beers and delectable wines. To top everything off servers were offering delectable appetizers such as lemon grass scallops, pest chicken flat bread, tomato flat bread, artichoke croustini and stuffed mushrooms.
It amazes me how Alex can put together such well executed events. The location was beyond reproach and there was at least 100 elites in attendance all having a Unilocaling good time! Donovan and Cindy where were you two? I still need to meet you guys in person LOL!

With all the wind during the day yesterday, it was nice of Mother Nature to calm things down a bit for the Spring Forward with Seasons 52 Elite Event. The back patio was the perfect setting for the Spring mixer. I liked that there was enough space to move around and mingle comfortably while still having enough space for others to sit and chat. The long fire pits added to the ambiance and kept everyone warm as the sun went down.
I’ve known about Seasons 52 since they opened but just hadn’t had the chance to check them out yet. I was impressed with their service and delicious hors d’oevers. I must have been in the all right spots because I had more than enough of my favorites– the BBQ chicken Skewers, Artichoke Parmesan Crostini and Shrimp Quesadillas. Everything else was good too but those are the ones that stood out. The BBQ chicken skewers had a lot of flavor from the marindate as well as a light smokey flavor. The crostinis had large pieces of artichoke with a creamy sauce that teased the pallet and the shrimp quesadillas were bursting with flavor and big pieces of succulent, crunchy shrimp.
I didn’t try the wine so I can’t review that. It was nice to see a lot of new Unilocalers as well as others I hadn’t seen in a long time. My fiancé and I came with friends and brought plus ones but it seemed like we were all over the place catching up with our favorite Unilocalers. Thank you to Seasons 52 for their hospitality and fine service. Also thanks to Melissa for her photography and Alex, Dustin and the whole Unilocal team for another fun event.

Alex L. said this event was being held at a nicer restaurant and to dress accordingly. So, I’m really glad I planned ahead and brought along a back up change of clothes and some smell good spray.
Arriving at the Arden Mall a bit after after 6:00 PM, my GPS took me to right to the door step of Seasons 52. Now, I’ve been by this mall many times and have never seen this place. But after getting there and seeing it from the outside along with Valet Parking, I knew I was too under dressed for the venue.
So, after finding a secluded place to park, I undress, changed clothes and headed inside to find my fellow Elites.
Once inside, I saw Alex L. and followed him to the patio area where I checked in. I was given two raffle tickets, each one good for a drink and I headed to one of two make-​shift serving areas that had been set up to grab a beer.
Since I was one of the first to arrive, I found myself a good seat with a view of the doorway leading into the event so I could watch, meet and greet the Elites I knew as they arrived.
Shortly after 7:00 PM, the crowd seemed to suddenly appear and what was once an empty spot on the sun deck patio was now a standing room only event.
From the seat I never left, I was able to catch the sample food platters as they passed by. I sampled a BBQ chicken on a stick which was coated lightly with peanut oil and sesame seeds and various flat breads dishes. Most of the flat breads were vegetable only and all of thme were cooked to a crunchy perfection I also tried thier home made vegetarian tacos which really surprised me. They used very few ingredients but, they were loaded with about five different favors.
All the food I sampled were good tasting and very light on both the palette and stomach.
This was a very nice and relaxing venue. In fact, It was so nice, I wasn’t calling it a Unilocal Elite Event at all. Through out the night, I referred to it as Unilocal mixer.
Thank you again Alex L. for another great memory and good time. It was well worth the 140 mile, round trip drive to hang out with you and my fellow Elites.

Arden Fair Mall.
Alex performed a small miracle there yesterday.
He was able to get a large group of fun people to attend a Unilocal Elite event there. And managed to do it with his usual understated, classy, effortless panache.
Honestly, that was the only reason I ventured into the area; the promise of another fun event hosted by Alex. And I stayed because I was pleasantly surprised by the casual elegance of the restaurant, Seasons 52, and its welcoming and attentive staff. From the servers pouring the drinks, to the ones walking around the appetizers, all of them were uniformly polite, sweet, attentive, and genuinely interested in making our experience memorable and enjoyable. The patio was beautifully decorated and the glass panels strategically placed along the half wall separating the patio from the sidewalk worked perfectly to keep the traffic noise out and the sounds of the party in. The heat lamps worked almost too well… I had to move away from under a couple because they were getting uncomfortably warm. Strategic positioning on my part was all that was needed!
The appetizers were so delicious: I tried the stuffed mushrooms, the chipotle shrimp quesadillas (never-​ending supply!), and the artichoke pesto flatbread.
After the event, we moved into the main dining room and had dinner and dessert. Bryan, our server, was extremely helpful, explaining the vision behind the restaurant, talking about the meals being under 475 calories each, and pouring tastes of his favorite wines for us. The desserts were the highlight of my dinner: little works of art displayed in shot glasses (see my pics)…I wanted all of them.

What an absolutely lovely place to have a YEE! Everything from the beautiful restaurant to the fantastic burning fire things outside to the ambiance that the staff provided… Unilocal and seasons 52 outdid themselves once again.
Just when you think that these events can’t get any better… they do!
The food was great. They served multiple types of flatbreads ranging from steak and mushrooms to tomato. There were also scallops, stuffed mushrooms, chicken skewers, and shrimp quesadillas. The ladies serving the wine and other boos were extremely friendly. I just couldn’t help but to continuously stare at the large container by the inside bar full of strawberries and vodka… a must try when we return!
Alex always gets together the most fantastic events. Many peeps were surrounding him but I was able to get in there at one point to say thanks. What a classy guy!
Seasons 52 was romantic, classy, quite surprising as I wasn’t really expecting a restaurant like this to be attached to a mall. The food was pretty tasty… and as Alex said… pretty healthy also.
Thanks to this event, I’d love to come back for dinner at some point. Wifey also agreed.
