Smog Wizard

I really like this place! Staff is nice. Service is fast. I have been here about 3 times and will continue to support their business!

I really shouldn’t even give it a star. The guy there was so rude like what makes you think I want to get service from a rude guy and you expect me to come back in for a check up. No thanks. I came in to get my car smogged again to get a certificate because I know it passed the first time elsewhere, I just lost the certificate. So thanks for nothing, what a waste of money.

It’s quick, convenient & it always passes. I went to a place that was cheaper & it didn’t pass I think because a light was on. That light never goes out, but I still had to pay. Might as well pay a little more. New owners from when I first started coming but they’re nice as well.

*First off… I really like the location of this establishment. It is coventiently right off of the freeway and on the main (Broadway) street.
*The 2 stars I am giving is based on the price that I was being charged for a simple smog check. I guess it was also the fact that the gentleman working the shop (at the time) stated that he told me the price over the phone-​which was false. He was a nice guy; however, we never discussed a price. I was just excited that I found a local shop opened on Sunday.
*Another reason I am leaving only 2 stars is the fact that the guy did not know how to operate my vehicle. I own a 2004 Crossfire (6-​speed Manual). I noticed after he got into my car, started it, and did not move… Something was up. I ran outside to make sure he was not going to force anything or possibly damage something. Sure enough he was unfamiliar with how to put my vehicle in reverse. I would have felt more at ease if he would’ve came to me instead of just trying to figure it out himself.
*Once again I like the idea that they are open on Sundays, the service was quick and the customer service was not bad; however, the chances of me ever returning here are slim to none. On any given day (other than Sunday) I choose SMOG IN located at 5889 Stockton Blvd, 95 824. Tommy is the owner and he and his staff are well-​trained and the service is always great.

MAAAAAN, never made it out to these foo’s. For a smog check, they quoted me…$ 73!!! Are you out yo God damn mind???

First of all I was surprised to find a smog place that was open on a Sunday, so it was a huge plus to find this place. I came, Singh the only person working at the time was friendly, helped me out, got me in and out really quick. The total time I waited was probably 15 minutes which included me filling out the form, he told me he’d be about 10 minutes, I sat down, and before I knew it he was done! Great service from start to finish! I would definitely come back to smog my other cars here.

I had an hour to kill and needed to get my car smogged. It was a Sunday and I didn’t have many options, so I headed on over to Smog Wizard.
Since there weren’t any customers ahead of me, the service was pretty fast, albeit much more expensive than my usual smog place… about $ 20 more than I normally pay (hence, the 4 stars instead of 5).
The guy working there wasn’t super friendly, no rude, just very serious. That’s okay, my car passed and I was on my way. Overall I was happy with their service.

Great service. Straight forward. no bs or gimmicks to get you to pay more. Told me service would be done in 15 minutes. It was done in 10min!

Smog Wizard didn’t pass me. I brought my car to a different smog place and they said there were no problems and it passed with flying colors. I went back to Smog Wizard to try to get some sort of refund and they refused. Will definitely never go here again.

Pretty easy– drove up, had my smog checked within 10 min, then left. Pretty simple. There was only 1 person working (hence 4 stars), so if more than one person was there, I could see how it might take a bit longer.

Just pulled up and the guy said it would $ 73. I told him «No Thanks», in my head I said «go F%#& yourself!» Way to do business. I only went there because I had a good experiece years ago. The new generation sure know how to mess up a good business.

I took my car in for a smog check and filled out the paperwork. About five minutes after me some guy comes in and tells the clerk that he is in a real hurry and will tip the guy a 20 if his car is finished in 30 mins. The clerk jumped his car in front of the two of us waiting in the shop. When i asked for my keys back they were reluctant to give them to me. I took them and told the clerk that my time was also valuable and left.
The shop called me to say that it was really the case that the other car could be done more quickly than mine. But by then I was at another shop on 16^th that was $ 15 cheaper and saw me right away.
Lesson to smog wizard… you don’t know who your clients are. I know how valuable my time is and won’t be trumped by a jack a$$ with a $ 20.

Fast service and they didn’t charge me when my car failed smog test for some technical reasons.

Smog isn’t the most exciting thing to get done which is why speed, accuracy, and customer service are key, in my opinion. This smog shop is amazing based on those aspects~!
Fast — Didn’t take long and was helped immediately :)
Accuracy — Well, I passed and they gave me my sheet and explained any points that I had questions about.
Customer Service — Friendly staff! The gentleman who helped me obviously knew a lot about customers and extremely nice. It’s definitely different from other smog shops.
Overall: If you need to get a smog check, just take it to here and you’ll have a great experience and not overpay. Simple as that!

I chose to go here based on fellow Unilocaler reviews and was not disappointed. I was in and out in 20 minutes. The service and price were great. Roger even explained that I had some sort of emissions warranty that the Honda dealer never mentioned. Bookmarked!

«Wizard» indeed. I’m pretty sure it took some serious magic to get my ol’ clunker to pass smog but somehow they did it. They were quick, friendly, and cheap. I’ll be back in two years when I have to spin the smog wheel again.

Fast, efficient and reasonably priced. I have never had to wait more than 20 minutes for my vehicle to pass smog.
Family owned. Easy parking.

They failed my car because Jiffy Lube at 30^th and Capitol did not put five of the bolts for my air filter back on and they list the «O» rings on the dip stick causing oil to be lost.
I took my car to A1 Auto repair at 2015 Broadway for bolts and «O» rings. The owner could not believe Smog Wizard failed me for this. I had to pat an addition $ 28 for another test plus the expense of the 5 new bolts.
Live and learn. I will never go to Jiffy Lube again. I have also learned to go to a smog and repair place. Sorry Smog Wizard but next time I am going to A1 Automotive at 2015 Broadway.

This place rocks. It’s gotten to the point where when a friend is stressed out about getting a smog check, I offer to do it for them (often in exchange for some massive favor they think is a good deal) and just run a car over to Smog Wizard.
I went on a Saturday morning, with no appointment. New guy working (or at least one I hadn’t dealt with before) and, like everyone else I’ve ever interacted with there, he was nice, fast, and accommodating. In and out in 20 min.

This is where we take our cars — the staff are always quick and friendly and the price is right.
Next to McDonald’s or Taco Bell if you want a bite. Easy to get to from all directions, easy parking. It’s a great spot that offers a very good service, and they are cheap. Just what I like.
