Dan does the smog test for my AWD van every two years. Some other testing stations cannot do it.

DEFINITELY A CHAMP at what he does here. It’s worth the wait. Very good customer service. Always down to extend his Business hours for those who need to be squeezed in schedule. Give him a call. Or drive inn to check his business out.
Will recommend over Smog and Go (probably not as fast but like I mentioned worth the wait; sure thing BETTER PRICE THAN MOST!)

Friendly, professional service. I had no appointment, drove in, no wait. Very quick, smogged my vehicle and sent it electronically to DMV. I would highly recommend!

I just got my car smogged here, there was only one guy working on a Saturday, but he had it down to a science, each car averaged about 20 — 25 minutes tops, service time. My car did not pass, but minimal fixes, such as a bulb 4 my MIL/​Check engine light (just learned this term), air box that shuts properly.

Probably not best time to write about it when you are upset. My car did not pass because of a kink on the tiny vacuum hose??? That’s it! It passed everything else, could have given me certificate then they could have just told me to get a long screw driver to push it over to straighten it out. I am going to have to back another day now and wait another time. Let us wait and see what happens before I finalize my review with them. Btw– I bring all three of my cars here and have referred a few.

Just got my car smogged here. Great place! Good customer service. I went to the place almost at 5pm And the guy almost off work, but I asked if he can smog my car. Because I need it to smog ASAP. And he did !! I appreciate his kindness. Also I went to more than 5 place to ask price. Most of them cost more than 50 $. This place only cost 40 $!!! So yeah, good deal will be back next time.

I always take my cars here. Good guy and he let’s you know what’s up. If anything is wrong, like what u can do to fix it. He always charges a good price. Although a couple times it took a while. But I had a few people ahead of me. No big deal.

I really procrastinated on getting my car smog-​checked… no surprise there. I called Smog Champs and asked when they closed. The guy who owns (and is the sole operator of the place), said he’d stay open an hour later for us. When we got there, he was visibly stressed and tired, but he still managed to crack a few jokes and be an all-​around approachable person. Charged $ 40 for plain check, including the certificate! Definitely going back.

I didn’t even start my smog test yet and I’m giving this place 5 stars. It seems to be only one guy working here and he is very nice. He said it was a busy day and he didn’t even take his lunch break yet… that’s a hard worker right there. The price here is reasonable and the wait time is not bad. Just make sure you call ahead of time to see how long the wait is. He’s busy throughout the day, but don’t blame him! He’s working alone and there’s a reason why he’s ways so busy. He’s that good of a worker! highly recommend.

Just got my car smogged here (weekday, early afternoon) and they were great. No one else was in line, only took about 15 – 20 minutes from the time I arrived. They are also STAR certified which I needed for my registration this time around.
Bonus: They were also super friendly and personable! Anytime I need a smog check in the future this is definitely where I am headed.
Smog check + DMV certification was right around $ 50.00. Can’t beat that!

I’m all about good faith and good reviews but OMG! Never going there again. Waited an hour and left because there was no desk control, nor technician control. The guy working there lost track of the cars going in and saw at least two cars go into the smog bay that arrived after me. If you want to spend a whoke day waiting for a smog then this is your shop. People like myself who like things done quick STAY AWAY! After waiting an hour I left very upset without a smog.

Prepare to wait! One guy working and he takes forever. Also, people will show up who have not been there and will cut ahead everyone. Asked him why he let the guy who just showed up go before me and he claimed the guy was here earlier. Right. Won’t be coming back here anymore.

Took my car in again in November 2014. Made an appointment for 9 AM on a Saturday. By the time I arrived, the shop was still closed, the gates were locked. I called to make sure they were going to open and they could still smog my car. He apologized and said he was on his way. I waited 10 mins. for him to arrive.
If it wasn’t for having to make a phone call to make sure my appointment was still on (which worried me since weekends were my only option, due to work), it would’ve been a five star rating. Other than that, it was quick (30 mins.) and inexpensive. $ 40 including certificate AND they send the info. directly to the DMV is a great value.

I have been using Smog Champs for about 3 years and there is no other place that is cheaper. This place is a one man show so depending on what time of day you come in; there can be a really long wait. Your best bet is to come here in the morning or after lunch. From my personal experience, all my appointments after 3 pm was pretty much void. It becomes first come first serve. I came here 3 times after 3pm and all three times I waited more than 2 hours. The times I came in the morning, I was done in less than 45 minutes.
As I stated earlier, you will not find a cheaper place to get your car smogged. The regular price here is a coupon/​discounted price at other places. Smog «Test Only» with certificate is around $ 40. Also the owner of this place is a real nice guy with great customer service. I am giving 4 stars because appointments are pretty non-​existent. If you have something scheduled after getting your car smogged, be aware that you may have to wait more than 2 hours if a lot of people are ahead of you. If you’re lucky and get there with no other customers around, you should be in and out of there in less than an hour.

Went here for first time in July. Only one worker, and there was a bit of a back log. However, the worker was honest and hard working. My car smogged fine, DMV received my smog report fine, and the smog test was exactly the $ 40 he quoted. Next time, I’ll be back! Thank you!

Been here a couple of times. Never had any wait time or any hassles. Nothing fancy but I would rather take quick service over a long wait in a fancy room.
Prices are always good and will give you a discount, even if you do not ask for it. Remember lots of those really cheap prices you see advertised require a smog cert and if you have any type of SUV, that is considered a truck, and costs more money. You don’t have to play that game here.
In the end just a you just get good service without the dog and pony show. I appreciate that.

Called in to ask for a smog check price and was the cheapest and closest I could find! $ 40! Very good service and fast too. Will definitely be doing my next smog check here. I highly recommend this place if your not trying to go far and spend a lot of money. I am a very happy customer!

I got the same flat rate price quoted to me as others which was the big draw. My rating isn’t super high, though, because the person running the show was über slow. I think it took between 30 – 45 minutes a car to do the smog check and a solid 45 if you count the paperwork processing part of things. I had to wait behind one car plus one he was finishing up and it took me an hour and 30 minutes to get out of here. Smog checks should only take ¹⁰⁄₁₅ minutes max. This guy seemed to have trouble getting the car in the right place (pulled the car in and out of the mechanism 4 times for my car and the car before me). He also seemed to be doing a whole bunch of stuff on the computer which makes me think that maybe that’s the part that takes him a while? I don’t know but this just took too long. There’s a place in midtown that is even less expensive and far quicker that I will keep going back to. I feel bad about all this because the gentleman was very nice but let’s keep it moving man. I also wanted to cut him some slack and asked if it was a particularly busy day (as two more cars had gotten in line behind me during the wait) and he said that it was actually a very slow day with everyone gone for the holidays. I don’t know.

I called this place to see if there was a wait because, of course, I paid my registration but completely spaced on the smog. The guy that answered the phone was really nice, and told me to come on down. When i got there, he immediately stopped eating his lunch, and greeted me with a friendly smile. He left his lunch, promptly smogged my car (it passed! i know that doesn’t have anything to do with him, though.), and got me back to work quickly. I will definitely be sending people his way. A note though, it is a test only station, so they can smog anything, but not repair.

I’m going on 4 years now with Smog Champs, and I’ve since referred my entire family here. The testing is quick (ESPECIALLY if you call ahead), and the pricing is the most competitive in the area. Always a pleasure, just a few minutes on facebook and my car was already finished!
