History

Established in 2005.

SIMZ Productions started in ’05 as James started to do more freelance camera work for «Monsters of Destruction,» and by the end of ’05, the executive producer offered SIMZ Productions (at the time, made up only of James) the full time gig for 2006.

In 2006, James and his crew traveled to 13 locations in the US, and SIMZ produced 26 episodes of the «Monsters of Destruction» race series, plus 26 addt’l episodes of the HD series «Monsters of Destruction Behind the Scenes.» (The Outdoor Channel)

In early 2007, The Outdoor Channel made significant programming changes and decided not to renew the monster truck show. James began diligently working craiglist and contacts in the business to build SIMZ Productions to where it is today.

SIMZ is now the première corporate production company for Sacramento. With a full time crew of four, including his wife Leslie and two editors, Kira Takeshita and Mark Howlett, they are known for their hard work and commitment to quality.

Meet the Business Owner

Leslie S.

Business Owner

Leslie is co-​owner of SIMZ Productions with her husband, James. Leslie started working full time for SIMZ in September 2007 and works as a field producer, writer, and also provides general administrative support to the company (taxes, A/​R, A/​P, etc.).

Before SIMZ, Leslie worked in the non-​profit world for about 10 years. Her most recent stint was as a program manager at Child Action, Inc.
