Schermer, Hunt, & Rogers Eye Care

I recommend them to anyone I know looking for great eye care! They not only helped fix my mother’s previous eye surgery that a previous doctor had performed poorly on, but sent her flowers the same day as her first surgery. That’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to their amazing staff!
My entire family goes here, we love it! They’re swift, helpful, accommodating, and I always look forward to my appointments with them.

I needed to see an Ophthalmologist (M.D.) so picked Dr. Schermer based on insurance coverage and Unilocal reviews. What a pleasant surprise this business was! You get the normal screenings by technicians, then I saw the Optometrist who determined my new prescription, then the doctor for eye exam and looking at health of my eyes and finally the Optician when I looked at frames for new glasses. Everyone from the front desk gals to the doctor were all friendly and helpful; and explained more than anywhere I’ve ever been as to what they were doing, what the results were and what my options were. Thank you, Dr. Schermer and everyone else there for making this such a good experience!

I have been to a number of good optometrist /​optician offices, but this place is hands down awesome in comparison to all the others. My prescription isn’t very strong — but I have astigmatism and work in IT, so the right glasses make the difference between comfort and headaches.
I was able to find very comfortable frames, at a reasonable price, with the lenses cut perfectly every time. I requested a copy of my prescription with the intent of trying out Costco, but I keep coming back because the staff is so professional and efficient. It would be a waste of my time, money, and patience to go anywhere else.
Unilocal asks if this is by appointment only — you do need an appointment for an exam, but the optician does not require an appointment.

I decided to try this place out as it’s near my home and they’re on my VSP provider list. Dr. Rogers did my eye exam and he was great! The front desk receptionists were really nice and welcoming. I was able to pick my glasses in less than 30 minutes… they have a great selection.
I received a welcome card a few days after my initial appointment and a birthday card a few months later… personally, I felt it was a really nice touch.

My wife and I have been coming to Dr. (Bechtold) Hunt for nearly 20 years, and do not feel comfortable with anyone else doing our eye exams. She and her staff are very thorough and always take the time to do it right. the ladies in the dispensing side know their products and work to help make the right choices. We once made the mistake of taking her prescription to an «inexpensive» dispenser. MAJOR mistake that we will not repeat. The difference in quality more than negated the lower price of the product we got (which was only marginally lower once all the add ons were tabulated). If you need an eye exam, this is the place for you.

I get my eye exam from my Kaiser Optometrist so I just came here for prescription glasses. A friend urged me to go to Costco but I haven’t done well with cut-​rate glasses. So I picked this place off of the VSP provider list.
This was, by far, the best experience I have had at an optician. They aren’t fast or cheap but they take time to get it right. My prescription is progressive which can be tricky to get right. The optician, Wanda Cardullo, first comes out with about ten different frames which are variations on the one I picked in various sizes. So through a lengthy process one was chosen. Then she did the measurements and marking a couple of times (usually they just do it too quickly and shove you out the door). She lowered the sweet spot a couple of millimeters because «you are tall.» I was a little concerned about that but she was right. Now I realize the last couple of pairs had the sweet spot too high.
They grind these on both sides of the lense (expensive) but they are really good, a lot more focus real estate on the lense which is usefull when I am standing on loose gravel in the forest when I’m trying to see down my traverse line (I’m a land surveyor) and I can’t necessarily get my head exactly pointed up line.
Then I go pick them up. They won’t just give them to you :-). They actually adjust and fit them.
If you want fast and cheap, go somewhere else. If you want an excellent result for your money then this is the place.
