Arden Howe Optometry

First time at Stanton optical today. Started with an eye exam. Very accommodating as I had a regular appt but wanted to change it to a contact appt. Dr Hsu was very nice and informative (I wish I had seen him before having PRK 6 years ago!). Dr’s assistant, Tynisa, was very attentive, sweet and professional. Max was very helpful at picking out frames– he actually found the ones that I wound up buying. Prices were very reasonable too. All in all a great experience! Would definitely recommend!

In the interest of full disclosure, I should mention that Dr. Hinkley is my friend from high school, & I’m lucky to have good vision. However, when my mom’s puppy ate my sunglasses, she helped me find new ones, & they’re seriously the best sunglasses I’ve ever had. Dr. Hinkley took the time to find sunglasses that flatter my face & actually stay up on my nose. (Asian people understand what a big deal that is.) Even though I don’t need prescription lenses, I’ll be coming back here for my next pair of sunglasses.

I came across Arden-​Howe optometry thanks to the map feature on my phone. I got a new prescription from Eye Designs at the mall, but they did not have any frames that suited me, so I headed over to Stanton optical who had a ton of cheap but low quality frames. Finally, I went to Arden/​Howe and the selection of women’s frames was perfect. It was also quiet and not hectic like the other places. Plus, the optician was really friendly and provided good feedback on some frames I chose as options.

This is a very nice, professional, and helpful optometry. I had been going to other places for several years but had problems finding appointment times that match my schedule. This place is open late, until 7pm, a couple nights of the week and also is open one Saturday per month. The main thing about them though is the service, which is top notch.

Dr. Hinkley is amazing! I highly recommend her and her staff! Very knowledgeable, helpful, patient, and kind. I love my new glasses! They are designer frames. You’ll have to take a look at the selection of designer frames yourself, not a bad selection!
Appointment was made last minute (end of the year, trying to use my 2013 benefits), not a problem, they got me in before the year end. I was seen promptly, my glasses arrived when anticipated. Excellent service!

I originally started going to Arden Howe Optometry because it was relativity close to where I lived. Two years ago I moved to Carmichael, there are lots of choices close to my new location, but I continue to go back to Arden Howe Optometry.
The overall experience is very good, Dr. Hinkley takes her time with your exam and selecting the right kind of lenses (both glasses and contact) for your prescription needs. I have the best vision I have had in years.
The office staff, especially Diane are all exceptional. Diane is a gem, she makes sure that you get your contacts or glasses on time and that you’re happy with the product.
Another big plus for me is that appointment starts on time and you don’t feel rushed. I highly recommend this office. It hard to see from the street, once you get into the mall it’s located, there is usually plenty of parking.

I live in Arden, so there are lots of options here. I chose this optometrist almost at random, but mostly based on a Unilocal ad. This business deserves every star. The staff is friendly and polite… I had to reschedule several times and they happily accommodated me. Dr. Hinkley was professional, charming and expert. She offered me two sample brands of contacts encouraging me to try both before making my decision. I will refer everyone here. Great experience.

I chose Arden Howe Optometry because of its proximity to both my house and work, as well as the fact that they are open some Saturdays as well as extended hours on Thursdays. But I will continue coming back because this little office is as good as it gets!
Dr. Hinkley is super personable and helpful. As someone who has had horrible eyesight since the third grade, I’ve seen my fair share of optometrists, and she is by far the best. She and her staff really make you feel welcome. I would recommend Arden Howe Optometry to anyone.
(FYI: The office is tucked away in the shopping center that also has Arigato Sushi and Round Table. It’s a little bit unclear when you Google map it.)

Dr. Hinkley was professional and knowledgeable. She was informative, spoke honestly, and was courteous. She was concerned about an issue I was having and had me come back for follow up at her next available appt so as to not keep her next appt waiting. I really appreciate that as I hate having to wait forever for a doctor or dentist that overbooks.
Highly recommend her services.

This was my first visit, and I was very impressed. From my first phone call, to my reception today, to my eye exam and help with getting a sports frame that would work for me, I couldn’t be more pleased. Dr. Hinckley and her staff are very friendly, helpful, and not pushy at all. I can’t say that about my previous experience with a midtown optometrist who charged exorbitant prices and actually forgot about me in an examination room one time.
My whole experience here at Arden Howe Optometry was warm and comfortable. Their frame selection seemed really good to me, and the prices were much lower than I’ve seen in other places (the midtown place and Kaiser.) I highly recommend Dr. Hinckley’s office.

A small neighborhood optometry in the corner of Howe and Arden. Very professional. They have quality lenses and very affordable. Yes, they have designer frames and lenses as well.
Dr. Hinkley is sweet, patient, and very personal. A very good replacement for Dr. Clarke. The atmosphere in the office is very friendly and nice. Dr. Hinkley is very good at what she does and takes her time with her patients. She even helped me pick out my frame. Would I recommend her… YES!
