The only reason this place even gets a star is because Unilocal makes me give one to them. Ive been trying to resolve issues with these people for years now. I was very current on payments with them until I broke my leg and found myself out of a job for three years.
No the debts keep piling on. They take money out of my paycheck every month which I was fine with until September when they got greedy. Now these people not only took 100% of my paycheck two months in a row, but they also took all of the money out of my bank account, they also took $ 197 that was not in the account to begin with. This means that they took $-197 that I don’t possess. I have officially given them 210% of my earnings this month. How am I supposed to get to work and back? How can you possibly do that to someone who is actually trying hard to go to work and make a living. I can not afford to make it to work because of them today so I will probably be fired from my job. When I call them, they just transfer me through from line to line and give me the run around. Im pretty sure this was illegal.
I can’t say that I hate anyone more then these people. They are the biggest theives in the world. My ex has told me that he has tried to get them to drop the proceedings with this case because he doesn’t need the money and they have refused to drop the case. He said they have called them several times because he has more then enough to be able to provide for our child with ought any financial assistance but they wont listen to him either. On top of that he only sees half or less of what they take from me. They took my $ 4500 tax return check and my ex only received $ 2250. Does anyone else see anything wrong with this?

If there is a negative star, I will go for that! My child support is almost over, so I called the CSS and they said I have to go online and sign up for an account. The woman did not say her name and told me that she is not a computer person and don’t know why the site is not accepting my case number. She hang up the phone. Maybe too busy chit chatting and socializing and I bothered her. I opened an account online and asked questions how to get the forms to close a case. Since I retained a lawyer years ago, they will not answer my question on how to close the case. I cannot pay a lawyer right now because I am paying child support. After my child support, then I can afford a lawyer. Hello? Their policy sucks and you are dealing with evil zombies. The website is not user friendly. There is no link on how to close a case. I feel sorry for the people are in the same situation as mine. One day, this will all be over and we don’t have to deal with those kind of people who are lazy and just waiting for retirement. It sounds like they are afraid to answer questions due to lawsuits. Even simple questions will not be entertained! My advise to CSS, do not answer the phone. Your employees are useless. Calling all lazy people, apply for a job at CSS.

I don’t know too many people who have had a «pleasant» experience with DCSS, however, I think there is plenty of truth with the complaints of negligence and laziness as claimed twd them. I have personally had a case open since 2009. Upon opening, I provided EVERYTHING current for the NCP. He split and decided not to care for our daughter anymore after a few months. As a single parent, I have made a wonderful life for us, , do not depend on welfare or food stamps for the last several yrs (when I first had my daughter, I did receive aid for a few months, she is now almost 6 and I have been providing everything since day 1– just to make that clear). I have made HUNDREDS of calls to DCSS to check the status of my case since 2009. They have done crazy things like send the process server to his home without a picture of him, so he answered the door and said «not me», the same with tel calls. So, to this day, he has not been served. To top this all off, the last representative that I spoke with yesterday let it slip that they have had an employer on file for him since 2009, the employer never denied that he worked there, but after he quit, the company replied to the employment inquiry stating the NCP worked there from 2003-​Sept 2012 … Explain to me why all this time, DCSS NEVER sent a process server to this employer who I knew and continued to tell them he worked for. Now that he no longer works there, they REALLY don’t know where he is and my daughter has gone without support this entire time .

So… I make my last child support payment in a few weeks. over the last 18 years I have forked out over in excess of $ 190,000 in net child support… no biggee, even though every time I increased my income, and reported as required my ex drug me be back to court to get some more $$$ and to try to take my 49% custody away from me.
Not the point to this rant though. so my 19 yr old son sat me down recently and gave up the beans. Dad he says «all those mediation appts with the county, and counselings we had to go to. all the bad things we said, all the stuff we said. MOM MADE US SAY IT, IT WAS ALL LIES AND WE WOULD GET IN TROUBLE IF WE DID NOT SAY IT. WE HAD TO PRACTICE BEFORE WE WENT IN TO SEE THE MEDIATOR».
I let it slide. no biggee.then my 18 yr old daughter who is off to Chico state drops and says that she has something to get off her chest… she proceeds to tell me the exact same thing, and to add to it. related how they would get into trouble if they came back to moms house and acted, or said that they had a good time. she talked about the mediation appts, and how they had to practice what to say, when to say it, when to cry.etc.
I was pondering all this… it is not so much about the money. but I distinctly recall my ex quoting to me one time.“it is my goal to have you support me, take all your money, and make sure you don’t see your kids, they don’t need a father. they have mama”.
So…wouldn’t that equate perjury? Shouldn’t I be able to sue her, the county for being completely ignorant, and ignoring the proof I gave them time and time again that she was lying, and coaching the children?
All I ever wanted to do was to be a dad, be involved in my children’s lives, and be responsible. the system is completely and utterly flawed.

I’m so upset about my case that has been going on for 9 months and my daughter’s father still has not been served! When I call DCSS they act as if I need there money to help support my child. They are NO help at all. They keep telling me that they can’t find him and he is never home when they try to serve him!!! Of course he is not going to yell out «Hey come serve me because I want to pay child support». In the past 9 months they only made 2 attempts to serve him and they don’t want to serve him at his job. What type of mess is this? So now I have to go up there again to try to get some results, but if i start yelling then I’m wrong? Well I’m praying that my case won’t go on for 18 years +. But I rate them a negative 20

No matter what I dont think anyone is going to like CSS. But I have to say they really helped me at my hearing. My sons mom tried to claim she is making $ 1,700 as a healthcare worker a month paying for a ½ million dollar house. Thank god they did some research and found her to be lying and totally eating up anything she could. The judge ended up tossing out her case she so badly mouthed the judge. Although, my case might have mainly because the people and judge could see how greedy mom was acting. She even has a name at the office.

This is the WORST proof of Federal and State negligence and a complete waste of tax payers money. They have done nothing but make errors in my 21 year old case to the point that my ex has been able to avoid child support since my son was 1 — just because he moved to Oregon and they filed crap wrong. I am no lawyer, but I have learned more law because of the stupid ass DCSS Sacramento County office. They continue to make error after error and never admit fault. I have been heard in both states, won and still they say they cant enforce my arrears case and when my son turned 18 they tried to close it completely. I finally had them REMOVED from my case by court order 2 years of filing and waiting just to have them ordered NOT To prepare my final order and wage assignment, and of course they did the order, but not the wage assignment and therefor I still couldn’t collect. I again had to have them removed from the case, and now my attorney prepared the final order, sent it in to the judge to sign and two months later I am calling DCSS and Sacramento County Superior courts trying to find out where my damn final order is. They say my lawyer must of never prepared it, and he says they lost it. Here I go again! My son will be 40 when and if I ever collect from his loser dead beat dad!
