This place is amazing! The whole shop has a cool vibe with amazing art work all over the walls. It’s impeccably clean as well! The artists all have amazing work. Very unique styles that you won’t find just anywhere. It can be very hard to get in with them but check out their social media sites as well to see when spots open up! Jessica was my artist today and her work is beautiful and unique! She’s so friendly and was amazing to work with. I look forward to working with her again in the future!

I started getting tattooed by Jessica last year, and she is the only artist I trust to do my work! The shop is so relaxing and very clean. So far I have had four pieces done by Jessica and I am in love with them! She has a love for Harry Potter as do I, which is so awesome. Everyone else in the shop are super chill as well, and also do great work. I can’t wait to get more done by Jessica!

My first ever tattoo and I’m so happy I went here! I had Josh and he did a great job! Love the environment in the place. Very clean and kept up. Everyone in there is nice and friendly. I will for sure be back. Highly recommend this place.

Jessica has exceeded all my expectations with my newest tattoo. From the moment I walked into this beautiful shop, I knew I would be happy with my experience. We discussed what I was looking for in my consultation so when I arrived for my first tattoo appt, there was nothing to do but get started. Jessica is light handed and professional. The shop was bright and quiet. There was only one other person getting tattooed and band of horses was on the speakers. I was so nervous about getting my tattoo but kept myself in the zone face down on a massage table watching Harry Potter on my iPad. I have now had two sessions for this tattoo and honestly can’t imagine getting worked on by anyone else. Five stars doesn’t do her justice.

I no longer live in Sacramento but Josh gave me my two first tattoos when I was 18. They are big tattoos as well.
He’s a very nice, personable guy who does amazing work. All the artists there do amazing work. My favorite thing besides the tattoo artists, is the building they’re in. They all have artwork all around the walls and the shop is amazingly clean. They are artists before they are tattoo artists, and that is something I really respect. They all have amazing drawing skills. Josh actually did a lot of free hand work on my back piece. When we eventually move back down to this area, I’ll be going right back to this amazing shop!

Well, I had my first tattoo session with Jessica yesterday and I must say it was a great experience.
As soon as I walked in, she started setting up her station and making sure it was spotless and comfortable. What I liked is that I was able to lay down while she was doing it which made it easier for me to relax. Some tattoo parlors will have people sit up the entire time they’re getting their tattoo and that can be a little uncomfortable after a while.
While I was getting it done, it was easy to talk to Jessica about pretty much whatever so I could take my mind off of the pain! Haha. She’s very open and fun to talk to and she was very excited to get my piece started. We completed all of the line work and started a little bit of shading which only took about 2 and a half hours to do. Time flew! I’m very pleased with how the tattoo turned out and the stencil that she drew for me was beautiful! Jessica definitely listened to what I wanted and made sure that it was very goddess-​like. I can’t wait to go back next month to do more shading and color!

I’ve always wanted to get a portrait tattoo ever since my oldest was born but because portraits could be tricky to tattoo I was always picky about choosing an artist. I didn’t want a portrait to not look like the person. While on Unilocal I found this art gallery and custom tattoo shop. I checked them out and found Steve. I saw that he did portraits and I kept going back to his page to see the portraits that he has done and finally after a week I emailed him. He responded right away and scheduled a time to come in for a consultation. That went fast as I knew what I wanted it and I had my date scheduled.
I went in a little nervous as it’s been 3 years since my last tattoo but let me tell you Steve had a gentle light hand that I so appreciate. His attention to detail is immaculate. He got the wispy hair in the face and the eye lashes to the great detail on her head band. He worked until he thought it was perfect even thought I thought it was perfect 30 mins before he did. and I am so happy with how it turned out. So much better than I could ever as for. Steve is truly and artist and one of the best that has ever tattooed me. If or when I’m ready for more ink I’ll be going back for sure. You won’t be disappointed with him or any of their artists.

This week I got new ink with Josh. He was very professional, assuring, and friendly. My work is about half done and I love it already!
The shop is clean and the art gives you plenty to admire during your tattoo.

Over two years since my first review and I’m still happily coming here every month to be tattooed. Yes I said it, I am literally here once a month to have Jessica work on one of our many projects to adorn my body with her glorious art.
I have been going to Jessica for a long time now and her work just continues to improve. I feel like we have a great vibe together and she comes up with artwork based on my ideas that feel like they came out of my own head, and I’m not sure I’ll ever have that connection with another tattoo artist. Her style has changed over the years, and I feel like that’s a testament to her determination for improvement and willingness to learn and adapt.
The shop as a whole and it’s artists are a delight, and when I go in to be tattooed I don’t feel like it’s an appointment so much as a catch up session with old friends where I happen to leave with new additions to my tattoo projects. Everyone in the shop is a friendly and I never feel uncomfortable, despite the fact that I’m often half dressed while there.
The art on the walls and the music playing in the shop make it a fun place to hang out and get stabbed by needles for a few hours. I highly suggest you find a way to get work done by these awesome artists.

Finally getting around to writing a review for this awesome place. I have been coming to Corey for tattoos for some time now and won’t go else where! He has been in a couple places and has his own spot now. I love that it isn’t you typical tattoo shop with old school tattoos all over the walls to choose from, its the art of the artists and it gives the place an art gallery/​studio feel that is way more relaxing. Everyone there is great, seriously. They all get along and it really shows with the atmosphere of the place. If there is ever a time I come up with a concept that he wouldn’t want to tattoo I would have no problem with the suggestion of a fellow artist there. I can not say enough good things about this place and its artist. They really take the time to listen and make any changes you may have with out being assholes like most places. They do custom tattoos… says it all.

Awesome shop! I recently started working on a large back piece for my first tattoo with Corey and he has been great. We’ve completed the outline and had one session of color and I go in tomorrow for more color. When I was looking for an artist I came across Corey’s work and I instantly knew I wanted him to be my artist. I was a little concerned because our schedules didn’t quite line up so I kept looking around for an artist, but I kept going back to look at his work. I had a vision in my mind of what I wanted my tattoo to look like and I saw my vision in his style. I decided to contact him anyways, and we figured out a schedule that worked for both of us. The tattoo is coming to life with the added color and I can’t wait to see more after tomorrow.

I got tattooed by Corey Bernhardt, his work is really amazing, I would say my favorite artist in Sacramento.
If you are looking for great work and open to artistic creativity, this is the place to go!
I’m very picky on the type of art I want done, after researching a dozen shops in Sacramento or even the whole NorCal region for that matter, I came across Corey’s work and was instantly attracted.
Can’t wait to go back and get my leg done end of this month!

What an amazing shop. Never mind the people that work there, the art alone is amazing.
I came here this past weekend to get tattooed by Alfredo Matta (per the recommendation of a friend) and can’t even speak highly enough of Alfredo, the shop, and the other artists.
The shop is located near the Target on Broadway. There’s plenty of street parking and it’s nice how close it is to Target. I actually took a walk there before getting started to grab something.
The shop is also a gallery so looking at the art was wonderful. These people are seriously talented. There’s also a nice little yard in the back which I went out to in the middle of my tattoo to get some fresh air.
The shops hours are 12 — 7 most days but Alfredo had me come in at 11 to accommodate his busy schedule. It’s nice that the hours can be flexible, because it can be difficult to match schedules with someone.
Once we got everything set up and the stencil put on my leg, the other artists started trickling in. I loved them all. They were all curious what we were doing and were interested on the progress, even though they were all working on other patrons. And the work they were doing was just as beautiful.
I can’t wait to go back in a couple weeks to keep working!

I cannot recommend Jessica enough! I’ve been getting tattooed by her since she was an apprentice, and plan to continue being tattooed by her for years to come. She’s super talented and friendly, and extremely reasonably priced. The new shop is a great little space with lots of promise. Good luck to Jessica and Corey, and Reclamare!

I’ve wanted to get a specific tattoo for at least 10 years. After a lot of digging around, my boyfriend found Reclamare and I got brave. I checked out their site and decided on working with Corey (though really, everyone in the shop has beautiful work).
We met in person to discuss the details and a few weeks later (thanks to a cancellation), I was in. This was my first time in a shop, but start to finish, it was a great experience. The spot is very clean and professional, cool vibe to it.
Corey answered all of my questions and made me feel at ease. Really nice guy.
When we finished, I looked in the mirror and saw exactly what I’d been envisioning for so many years. In fact, it was even better than expected! I appreciate how seriously he takes his art and took the time to get the details down. He also really listens to what YOU want. I also felt like considering the time he put in and his talent, his price was very fair. I’ve got a piece of art on my body forever.
First experience, but I hope to go back for another piece. HIGHLY recommend checking them out!

Corey did my cover-​up of a bad tattoo from Mexico. This is no ordinary shop. It’s a place where art is created. It’s open, friendly and features wonderful art pieces.
I had an idea, Corey sketched it up, there was feedback and he delivered a beautiful tattoo. I cannot see the old one, it’s amazing. The process was collaborative and professional. The gallery is very clean. Reclamare really pays attention to your safety and well-​being before the tattoo begins.

I’ve gotten three tattoos by Jessica, and I plan on being a devoted client of hers for a loooong time. After scouring the internet for talented local tattoo artists, her work was the best by far.
She is great at putting her clients at ease, and I’ve also noticed that she cleans her workspace and equipment extremely well (which is something very important that some other tattoo artists overlook). Also, her prices are very fair.
I’ve recommended her to every one of my friends who has even considered getting a tattoo, and none of them have been disappointed!

I first met Jessica Ann White (hereafter referred to as JAW) when she was working at Side Show. Some of my friends got tattooed by her and they were very happy with her vibe and the pieces she did. I was intrigued by her art, her ethereal and almost animé-​like female forms. So when I wanted a large side piece of Ghost in the Shell’s Motoko Kusanagi, JAW was the girl for the job.
JAW’s new shop Reclamare is recently opened and is still a bit sparse, but has potential as a nice slice of awesome. There’s vaulted ceilings and plenty of space for pretty art, gallery shows, Second Saturday events, and of course the happy buzz of multiple tattoo needles. The space she used was a section of wood flooring, illuminated with umbrella lights. I felt like I was on a set and my tat was the star ;)
When it comes to the actual tattooing, JAW has a light touch and speed that doesn’t sacrifice quality. She handled my design’s intriciate linework quite well, even the tiny details. It’s almost a week after my first session and my large side tattoo is healing nicely. I can’t wait for my second session, when the Major gets colored in. Stay tuned, Unilocalers!
