When this place opened in Sacramento I was very excited! Unfortunately the experience fell below my expectation. I think they’re a bit pricey and the customer service is nonexistent. No one even looks happy to be there. Mejor haz una mangonada en casa!

I’ve drove past this place many times, today finally got a chance to go in. I was craving a mangonada. The place looks a decent size. I was not greeted when I approached the lady at the counter. She seemed tired, and didn’t look like she cared to be there. I asked for a regular size mangonada. 5 minutes later my drink came out. A little pricey for the small size. It’s cheaper on the street. The mangos were a combination of frozen and unfrozen. Overall probably would not Come back.

I went in to get an agua fresca de limon. It took them over ten minutes to get me an agua fresca. The customer service needs some improvements.

Not very good at all… the «100% natural smoothies» taste like sugar syrup and the Popsicles had been sitting for a while. They were too rock hard to even bite and they were sticky and slimy on the outside… would not recommend either.
Though I have not tried the food, it looked good so maybe I’ll give this place another chance to try those items. Otherwise really disappointed…

I finally got to try the mangonada. I came on a Friday at 2:30pm, parked in front, and walked right up to an empty counter. A very nice lady came out from the back a minute later. The 2 sizes of cups were on the counter, and both looked small to me. I was getting a mangonada for me and a co-​worker, who just wanted to split one, but after seeing the size of the cups, I knew I needed my own large! So I ordered a large ($ 6) and a small ($ 5). The nice lady said that the Friday special is buy 2 large, get the 3^rd free. I don’t know what I was thinking… I said I’ll just get a small and a large today. Economic fail on my part. LOL. I’m pretty sure I could’ve found someone at work to give that 3^rd one to.
I noticed the mangonada had a weird, almost metallic taste, which also left a weird aftertaste. The mango cubes seemed fresh (not canned) and just ripened enough. The mango sorbet had a soft texture, but was it freezer burn I was tasting? Not sure, was it the chamoy? I think if they sprinkled Tajin seasoning that would’ve given it better flavor. I liked the soft tamarind candy straw. My co-​worker threw hers away because she didn’t know she was supposed to eat it. Obviously, she’s not familiar with Mexican candies!
I’d like to try a mangonada from other places so I can compare it to Paletalandia’s. So for now, I’m giving 3 stars. Plus I’d only go back on a Friday to take advantage of the special pricing.

Amazing mangonadas… lines can be long. And it takes a long time for them to make your order.

Ordered tacos with carnitas to go. Opened the container and it looked delicious until I took my first bite and it was filled with all bones. I don’t know about you guys but I don’t eat bones in my tacos. Very disappointed. Also ordered the carne asada fries and they weren’t bad.

This was ok. The kids loved the cotton candy icecream. I had the mangolada it melted way too fast but the taste was there.

My first time going there and was looking forward to getting tosti-​ceviche. The first time I had it was in Mexico and should have known that it wouldn’t compare. Needless to say the tosti-​ceviche wasn’t very flavorful and they had only one flavor of chips that were available. It would be cool if they had a few more options for chips and had a little station where you could add your own salt, lime, and hot sauce like they do in stands in Mexico.
Anyway I gave it a 2 stars because I was a tad disappointed and customer service was not that great.

I was looking for a snack so I stopped here. They have a great menu with so many things that looked good. Fresh juice, Fresh Mango, and other fruit.
I wanted to try the Mangolada but, the line was too long and they charge 50 cents to use a credit card. In addition there ran out of seats and it’s not a good togo food.
They have a nice parking lot. The spaces are really small so you have to squeeze in, but it is free parking.
Instead I got a popsicle. I was going to get a plain mango one, but they suggested a spicy one. It was interesting. It was chili pepper filled. A little too much chili for the amount of mango.
I was happy they had a clean restroom that customers were allowed to use.

Honestly I was expecting something much better. For the price they are, it’s not worth it at all. Nothing tasted fresh, and in fact I think everything was canned, including the mangos in the mangonada. We ordered the tosti-​ceviche and mangonada and had a jarrito as a drink. The tosti-​ceviche was decent, but we asked for more cucumbers and leas hot sauce but that never happened. The mangonada needs to be fresh, and it definitely tasted like canned fruit and nasty. The only part we enjoyed was the ice cream. We decided to order a corn in a cup and that was a complete disappointment as well. I honestly don’t care about prices, but we drove so long thinking this would be a cool place, but definitely not at all. We will not be returning, but the staff was wonderful and very helpful so I felt bad giving it one star, and gave it two.

The Mangonada craze has been around for quite some time, but I’m a little bit behind on that band wagon. This place got rave reviews with mangonadas, so of course we had to give this place a try.
This place is small, so seating is limited, and the line is ALWAYS out the door, which is always a good sign! They offer ice creams, smoothies, Mangonadas (obviously), their famous strawberries and cream, and also great mexican food.
We all ordered and Mangonadas which is a concotion of mango juice, freshly cut mangoes, lime, and chile sauce. It’s pretty delicious if you ask me. My only complaint of that day is the mangoes were not ripe enough, so the fresh mangoes were pretty sour. It would have been perfect if the mangoes were a little more ripe and yellow, but I’m willing to come back and give it a try. Pretty spicy, so beware if you can’t eat spice.
Great for a hot day, definitely want to return to try their tacos!

I finally had the chance to drive by on a night when the line wasn’t out the door. So I had to stop and give their mangonada a chance.
If you’re in a bind and need your mangonada fix, I guess this place is decent. But I’ve had better elsewhere in Sacramento. The mangonada here is smaller and, it may be the omission of Gunther’s mango freeze, but there’s just something less satisfying about it.
For five dollars, you get a small cup of mango ice cream, drizzled with chamoy sauce and topped with chopped mangos. But the chamoy sauce tastes a little off, and everything feels like it’s thrown quickly together. I could not find any chile spice/​tajin either, which is probably why it didn’t taste as good to me since that is one of my favorite things about this drink.
Would I come back?
There are other drinks and Mexican dishes that you can try here. But I wouldn’t come back just for the mangonada.

I had such high hopes for a closer place that provided mangoneadas! I should have known, once I had the ones made with Gunther’s mango fruit freeze from Sweets and Sugars that I wouldn’t be satisfied with anything else. Anyway, besides the mangoneadas, I also came for the flour chicharron, which is basically a sheet of chicharron, topped with lettuce, some pig ears and a sauce. It looks delicious but was just mediocre. I also ordered two street tacos that were mediocre. Finally, I had a popsicle togo and it was way too spicy for me. I was able to taste a piece of my gf’s tosti-​ceviche, which wasn’t that flavorful.
The line was so long, the employees were working so slow and although they had two registers, they refused to use more than one! You’re better off buying off the stands on the street.

The food is not all that great. Good if your absolutely craving it and it’s available no where else. I prefer the food from the authentic lil cart vendors.
The food lacked flavor, was overpriced, the wait was extremely long and the place has horrible service. Seems like they just hired a bunch of random girls with absolutely no experience and same for the manager. This is why it takes so long to get your order. They have no sense of direction or urgency to get on things.
Aaaaaaaand, don’t get your hopes up for the mangoneada! It’s not great! They make it with the mango sorbet, not the shaved ice. Highly disappointed.
The only things I did like from this place where the flavored waters and the tostilokos as well as the ice cream. Everything else we tried was simply not flavorful.

MANGONADAS!
Ok, so I’m waaaaay behind on this hype it’s not even funny. But, I’ve been wanted to try a mangonada for ages so after stuffing our faces with dim sum we found ourselves here.
The line is out the door, literally. But they move quick. They have one girl moving down the line and taking orders so you only have to pay once you get to the register. Two thumbs up.
There’s very little seating inside, but if you’re just indulging in sweets you can go in and out with no problem.
The mangonada was BOMB. I wish there was more mango, less sorbet but regardless it was verrrry tasty. It had a realllly good spice and kick to it.
I definitely wanna come back and give their food a try.

By looking at the delicious, mouth watering pictures of this place on Facebook, it sold me to come here right away. I tried 3 times to come here at night and all 3 times, there was a line out the door. Finally, I decided to come here on a weekday at noon, and it was empty. I walked in and ordered mangonada, ceviche, and a carne asada burrito. Here’s my verdict:
Mangonada: Good, but not good enough to stand in a long line. The mango was sweet and the ice cream complemented it. The pricing was a bit high for a small cup. I think you might be better off getting one at Smartshop for the same price for a bigger cup and tastes better.
Ceviche: presentation looked bomb, however, it was okay. Nothing really stood out from the ceviche.
Carne asada burrito: This was okay as well. Mediocore, nothing stood out.
Overall, the food was mediocore. The mangonada was good, but not good enough for the wait. This place is suppose to be new, however, the seats and tables looked old. I would only come here if there was no lines.

I only came here to try the mangonada because my sister wanted to check out this place. The line was pretty long but it didn’t take too long to get my drink. They accept cash but will charge $ 0.50 for credit card transaction. The drink was pretty good because the mangos were fresh. The small is $ 4.99 but for an extra $ 1.00. You can get a large. I would come back again for the drink.

Drove passed this place and saw a huge line out the door. Saw that they served mangonadas so I came back here after dinner hoping the line would die down. Got here around 7:30PM and the line was still out the door! Stayed here for an hour waiting in line and waiting for my mangonada and strawberries & cream.
Mangonada — 4.99 for a regular and for a dollar more you can get a large.
Strawberries & cream — 4.99 for a regular and you can add condense milk for .50
I’ve had better mangonadas before. This one had a spicy taste to it. I’m usually used to having it sweet. The strawberries and cream wasn’t really special either. I feel like they can add more condense milk in it. They literally just drizzled a little of it at the top of the cup.
Not really worth the hour wait for this. Although I would come back to try the ceviche because it looked good when I saw other people order it.

Paletalandia– Popsicle Land is a small chain. I first found out about it through the ads in Facebook. I guess not all ads suck. The location is where Stevie Boy Burgers used to be, right at the entrance of the plaza.
My first time eating a mangonada! I came in around lunch and it was packed. Bueno (good) for them, but malo (bad) for me. It took almost half an hour for me to order and get it. I would’ve been there a lot longer if I ordered food too. If you’ve never heard of a mangonada, it’s chunks of mango mixed with mango sorbet and covered in spicy chamoy sauce (made from pickled fruit). The straw is covered in tamarindo candy. Me gusta! It was $ 5 and an additional dollar for a large. I thought that was kind of expensive, but I’m sure they’ll have no trouble selling it at that price. Besides mangonadas, they have other desserts such as popsicles, ice cream, and desserts I never heard of. They also have food. I didn’t look at the menu too closely, but they had tacos, burritos, quesadillas, etc. Good luck finding a seat during the busy hours though!
