Melissa has been doing my hair for 10 years now and she’s still the best hairstylist I’ve had! I would definitely recommend her to anyone!

Melissa is amazing, definitely doesn’t disappoint! I’ve been to her multiple times and every time I left her studio I loved my cut and color. She is so sweet and personable and so good at what she does.

Just realized that I have been going to Melissa for a year now, but prior to going to her, I was at my previous hairstylist for 11 years (who was an hour away from me), so you could imagine the hesitation to try someone new. What lead me to Melissa was that she actually did my hair for my wedding! — (will get photos of wedding hair to add soon) and even after my wedding, I was still hesitant to go to Melissa regularly.
Well, last year came a time for me to say goodbye to my old stylist and bite the bullet to find a new one — so naturally I wanted to try Melissa first and I could not be more happier!!! She does a great and honest consultation/​conversation while I’m on the chair prior to doing any work. It’s a time where she will share her diagnosis of your hair, listen to what you would like done, make any suggestions to what your hair needs and ultimately let the customer make the final decision.
She’s local for me, BUT I’m on the same «touch-​up schedule» as someone who drives 2 – 2.5 hours to see Melissa — WOW!
The best part is Melissa is really a one-​stop shop as she does hair and makeup for any occasion.

When you find a great hairstylist… it’s like you’ve found a GOLD MINE! And that’s what I found with Melissa!!! I’ve been going to Melissa for YEARS, and she does NOT disappoint! She keeps her styles and color techniques up-​to-​date and on cutting edge (pun intended, lol!)! But seriously, I trust her so much that when I’m in need of a new ‘do, I literally go to her with my hair as her blank canvas, and ask her to do whatever she wants! The thing about Melissa is that she really listens and knows her clients. She knows my boundaries, because she asks. Ie: she knows that I like a low-​maintenance style, knows what I would consider «drastic»…and sometimes double checks with me if I’m really-​really ready for the style that I asked for, and she generally knows what cuts go with my face shape and what colors will complement my skin tone. This was my first time getting my hair styled by Melissa. I have no regrets! She did a phenomenal job. I didn’t know exactly what I wanted going into the appointment and she gave me plenty of different options I could go with which really helped. The appointment didn’t take long and the finished look was amazing! I got a lot of compliments about my hair too. I highly recommend anyone to go to Melissa whether it’s for prom, homecoming, wedding or whatever else, she doesn’t disappoint! The salon itself is pretty cute too, very private and neat. I’ve been getting my hair cut by Melissa since moving to CA. Glamorous, edgy, sophisticated, short, long, asymmetrical– she’s done it all for me. At this point I trust her implicitly to do what she wants with my locks.
She always goes above and beyond so I knew who to turn to for my wedding day. Once I decided on a 1940s dress, I started pulling inspirations to match. Melissa nailed it at the trial, creating multiple hair looks for me to choose from. Day of the wedding went off without a hitch. Melissa did hair for my 4 nieces + a sleep deprived bride and everyone looked fantastic.

Came to her on recommendation by several friends. Before cutting my hair, she took the time to explain what she was going to do and why. She also took her time cutting and styling my hair, which I appreciate, and she cut it exactly like the picture I showed her. I’m so glad I went to her!

How do I begin to describe the wonders of Melissa’s talents?
I’ve been seeing Melissa since 2008. From the very beginning of our color relationship I knew she was different. She really listens to find out what your desired outcome is. She will also let you know if what you want will compromise the health and strength of your hair and if what youv’e chosen is completely wrong for your coloring — although, of course, if you insist, she’ll do it anyway!
Melissa has taken me from deep red and black to bright blonde and all the way back again. Somehow, with her magic, she is able to keep every strand healthy. She formulates so beautifully that there is never a band from previous color and the styling she does is GORGEOUS!
I will never trust another with my tresses! In fact, I live in the bay area and drive all the way up to Sacramento to see her. It is worth every mile.
