This was the worst hair experience I have ever had!!! I had blonde hair on top and black underneath and I asked Kelley to touch up the roots on the blonde and make the black darker underneath. I have no clue how that translated into dying my entire head black. Not only is the hair I once had super blonde ruined but she made certain spots yellow when she put the black over it. I can see how little things may happen but how is it possible for a «professional» to mess up that extreme? She told me it may lighten up and to give it time. I didn’t pay close to a 100 for the chance of it possibly lightening up in a few months when it was light to begin with. She didn’t seem to care or want to fix her mess but she acted as if she were in a hurry and was being rude. I wouldn’t recommend her to anyone!!! I saw that she was a «salon owner» and thought she would be good but really she doesn’t own a salon it’s rooms they rent out so she can call her room whatever she wants because she is the only one in that room. I would have been better off doing my hair myself it would have come out a lot better and I would have no clue what I was doing. Save yourself time and money and go to anyone else in Sacramento, CA! Not only does she suck at hair but her personality didn’t make up for anything.

I bought a deal on Living Social and was able to book an appointment in less than a week. Kelly was right on time, I got partial highlights and a cut that I absolutely LOVE, I have had so many compliments at work today, and the best part was that she was super quick, I will definitely be back.

I purchased a Living Social Deal for this salon. I made an appointment with Kelly. When I got there she had another client she was finishing up. Was not a big deal except that she had me sit in her tiny space while she finished the other girls hair. That cust was new (I could tell by her conversation). She paid with cash and at the end she was given a business card and was treated very friendly and pleasant. When I sat in the chair I was told what a mess my hair was. She told me my color was a mess and my hair was too fragile to handle the highlights I had paid for. She literally said my hair would probably fall out. So I agreed to have just 1 all over color done rather than highlights (even though my voucher was for highlights!) So I was thinking she might do a trim or something else to compensate for the fact that she all but refused to do my highlights. But she did not. She did my color and then started on another customer who had walked in while the color was processing. I realized after I was done she had stacked so many appointments that she just didn’t have time to do my highlights. When I was leaving she said thanks for coming in. No card, no nothing. I would not go back to her. Ever. Terrible experience and the color did not last. :(

I bought the Groupon for this salon and was impressed! Kelley was quick and thorough and made sure she knew exactly what I wanted. I had unnatural colors in my hair and originally wanted them gone and replaced. She made sure to tell me before she started how she felt was best to handle my hair and what the outcome would be before she started. The end result turned out great!
She did need to push my appointment back 2 or 3 hours, but I was available and it wasn’t an issue. She was very apologetic (it was an issue beyond her control) and was very grateful I was so understanding.
She’s also got a great deal for returning clients, ask her about it!
She did seem like she’s not the most talkative, but I don’t feel the need to have every moment filled with chit chat, so it was fine for me!

I came in with a Groupon for full highlights and a cut. I was able to get an appt right away with Kelly. She did a great job with my highlights and cut. She’s really nice. It’s a cute little trendy salon. I was a little confused finding the salon but just give her a call. It’s closer to L street and 6^th. I would recommend Kelly.

I gave 1 star because picking «None» isn’t an option… HORRIBLE service. Her name is Kelley! She’s rude, she was rude from the moment I called her to tell her I was outside. She made me feel sooooooooo uncomfortable glad I stood up for myself and LEFT. Didn’t even get to do my hair. She kept treated me like I didn’t have enough for her to do my hair. She kept saying when was the last time you died your hair, oh is there red in your hair, you know my hair cuts start at $ 30. Such a b****! Took my business elsewhere hope nobody goes to her for anything.

Went to Kelley today and she did a great job on my hair. She gave me exactly what I wanted and she did it quick which I appreciated! Got the deal through living social and it was well worth it. She did a better job than some of the places I’ve paid $ 130 at.

I good experience here. The location has somewhat difficult parking, but is beautiful and right in the center of downtown. They are all small private salons within one large building. I personally liked it because it was both private and quiet.
This was the first Groupon, and I’ve bought many over the years, that I was able to get a quick appointment for. This is one of the few places that ive actually gotten good service even though i was using a discount. Kelley, while somewhat quiet, was extremely nice and hospitable. She has a keurig available, as well as water, tv, magazines, etc. She offered all of the aforementioned items and also asked what I was looking for in full detail.
She did my hair exactly as I requested with full highlights that turned out perfectly and a haircut that I am very pleased with.
I will be returning and will also be bringing my husband. I love how my hair turned out and really like the trendiness and cleanliness of her shop.

I am glad I found her on Unilocal after I went to see her or else I would have missed out on a great stylist. She was polite, friendly and funny. She offered me coffee and great conversation. I had no idea what I wanted to do with my hair and she was patient and looked through the magazine with me to help me find a look that works for me. I am very pleased with my hair and I will definitely make this my new home. I did get lost going there but when I called her she told me exactly where I needed to be. FYI it’s inside Sola Salon.

Kelley does my hair great ! I have been going to her for about a year and I love it. She has reasonable prices and friendly. I recommend her to all my family and friends !

Kelley does a great job! I’ve followed her through a few salons to finally her own HOLLYWOOD & VINE SALON (inside Sola salons). She cares about her clients… wants them comfortable in the chair and happy with their hair. Kell rocks with hair color and is super friendly! I wouldn’t have followed her if she didn’t know what she was doing or wasn’t nice. :-)

I have no idea why people are degrading Kelleys process but she is well qualified, patient, and always gives you exactly what you ask for. Kell always goes above and beyond to make you comfortable and was my personal hair dresser when I was Marilyn Monroe look a like. I love her style. Tip her well. This gal is busy!

I had bought a goupon and had an apt to have my hair done so when I arrived I had to wait almost a hour because she was already doin somebody’s hair. Then to top it off she was rude. Not very social in fact she refused to work on my hair for stupid reasons and I had to go through goupon process to refund me. What a wast of time and such unprofessional behavior.

The groupon is not worth it. I had the same experience as others have reviewed here. I wish I would have checked Unilocal before I purchased the groupon. Couldn’t find the place walking around the Capitol Mall Building twice looking for Hollywood & Vine Suite in triple digit heat in my business attire/​heals. It would have been helpful had Kelley told me her salon was in the Sola Salons. I felt bad that I was late (even after giving myself 30 extra minutes to find the place). She was late too so I didn’t feel so bad after that. I noticed right away she seemed annoyed with me. Very unfriendly, no smile, no introduction, did not offer me anything to drink. Lucky I had a bottled water my purse after the workout I got trying to find the place on foot. She was very rough prepping my hair for highlights, very rushed, tugged on my head causing neck pain/​strain and left my bangs in my eyes the whole time she was highlighting my hair. I kept trying to move them away but she had it clipped to where it just kept falling back into my eyes. I didn’t want to say anything as I was already uncomfortable with her and did not want to upset her anymore. I just wanted my haircut and highlights done, didn’t even care about the terrible styling (which was straight and frizzy with uneven bangs when she was done). I just wanted to get out of there. I tried to make conversation with her but she was very short, one word and sometimes no answer. I am not used to that type of attitude coming from a business owner since I myself am a business owner and customer service, making the customer feel welcome and appreciated and happy is my main focus. It should be hers too.

Kelly is way too overwhelmed. She does not give customers the one on one time. I will not be going back only because i felt really rushed the whole time. Plus customers were calling and making appointments. Near the end she had a customer come in and wait about a half hour because she was still not done with me. Like i said i felt rushed and she over books her self.

If no stars were an option I’d pick that. I don’t need to waste my time writing a bad review because all the other one stars are pretty much my experience. Awful customer service and an awful job on my hair. I wish I had looked on Unilocal before purchasing the groupon.

What a bad experience I had with this lady. I went twice and both times were a very bad experience
Her customer service is terrible, I was there for only one hour and she didn’t even talk to me at all, her answers where very short and she was with a terrible mood. I just decided to sat there quietly very uncomfortable until she was done.
I went for a blonde look and end up with orange hair. When I told her what I wanted she replied with an OK. She completely destroy my hair. I want to go blonde and now it’s so hard to take that orange out of my hair. I won’t recommend her at all.
REMEMBER: CHEAP CAN ALWAYS BE MORE EXPENSIVE!!!

I’m giving Kelley 3 stars instead of 2 because honestly I feel for her. I think she’s overworked and overwhelmed. She’s a «one man show» and juggles a lot! But the fact of the matter is I’ve experienced better. My one experience with her was with a Groupon which I had no problems redeeming. However, she ran late on my appointment. We started 45 min. past our scheduled time. It wasn’t a big deal being I was free all day. However, I parked in the US Bank tower and ended up paying $ 18! She juggled me and couple other clients and I got out in 3 hrs. Overall, I’d give her 3 stars for the partial highlights and cut. She blow dried and flat ironed my hair but left it frizzy since she was in a hurry. The pics are after I ran a flat iron through it a few times.

if you’ve purchased a deal for this «salon» just consider it a mistake and don’t bother going here. you will just end up spending more money to fix whatever kelley does to your hair. i know, because i just spent $ 100 at a salon to get rid of the mess she made — 3 days after i saw her.
this was just such a bizarre experience. kelley did not attempt to make any sort of conversation with me, didn’t crack a smile the whole time, and seemed like she was in a sour, annoyed mood from the beginning.
i showed her three pictures of the look i had in mind for my naturally brunette hair, and one picture of myself as an example of what i don’t want. i made it VERY clear that i am VERY conservative about my hair and want it to look very natural. she said «ok» and quickly jumped into highlighting my hair. i attempted to make conversation with her, but based on her unenthusiastic and quick answers, i just left it alone.
the highlighting stage was quick and the hair washing stage was cold and quick.
as i sat down in front of the mirror for my haircut, i noticed my hair shining. i asked her if the highlights were bright and she reassured me that they were very well blended and will look better after she dries it.
the haircut… let’s just say that i had to get that fixed also.
kelley blow dried my thick, curly hair with a non-​round brush, with no focus on the ends, so while the top was relatively straight, the ends puffed out. when i got up to get a closer look, i was in shock. how do you give someone who wanted a natural look, chunky «caramel» highlights? i use the term highlights loosely, because, let’s be honest, they were STREAKS. kelley told me that’s what highlights look like. WHAT?!!
i asked if she could put toner in to tone them down and she basically told me that she didn’t have toner, and what she did have would have very little effect, and if she were to do it, she wouldn’t have time to dry my hair because she had another client coming.
i decided that i didn’t want her touching my hair again and got the hell out of there. the whole thing took just one hour. fixing it at a salon took two.
moral of the story, don’t go to her! how a person with that attitude has a job in this industry is beyond me. all of her facebook reviews are positive and some say how easy she is to talk to… they must all be her friends, right? did i get punk’d? how do i get a refund?

I got highlights here and they came out fine enough, but my sister came here a little while after and her highlights are not good. They’re thick streaks and very yellow. I don’t see how any professional stylist could let someone walk away with thick yellow streaks like that. Now she has to get it fixed.
