I don’t know quite what to say. The chicken was ok but it wasn’t anything to fuss over. The price was more than reasonable. I think I paid a little over five dollars for three pieces of chicken, a small container of potato salad and a very boring dinner roll. The chicken wasn’t boiled to death like most restaurant chains but it was a bit slimy under the batter and they did not season the chicken before dipping it in batter so the chicken without the batter was a tad boring. The batter itself was not my favorite but it was not bad either. It almost seemed like a mixture of equal parts flour, corn meal, and salt giving it a heavy crunchiness in contrast to the light crunchiness I prefer. Fortunately, the potato salad was not vinegary, but it wasn’t the best I have had either. It was just your average, run of the mill in a Styrofoam cup, kind of a potato salad.

YUMYUMYUM!!! My to-go place is Popeye’s for fried chicken because i love how crispy, juicy, not too oily and flavorful the chicken skin is. When i want to change it up, I go to Louisiana Fried Chicken. I lived and grew up in this neighborhood and have never tried a mom and pop shop wth such great fried chicken as I have here. Their chicken is juicy, fresh, and flavorful. My favorite part is the little spicy kick it has for the spicy lovers. I love their special when they have it, 4 legs and 4 thighs for 8 dollars. I love dark meat and that is a great special. Their thighs and breasts are humungous! biggest pieces i have ever had compared to the Franchise owned chicken spots like KFC or Popeye’s. You will def. get your moneys worth with the quality of their chicken. I have never tried any of their sides so I can not say how yummy those are. Owner is very nice and funny. Only con on their chicken is that the breasts are huge but dry when I tried it once for the chicken breast lovers. This place is located in a small little plaza and for those whom are not familiar with the neighborhood might think that it is a little rough, BEWARE.

They never pick up the phone so if you want to call ahead to place your order, it’s impossible

Please avoid! As I am literally home from work early due to food poisoning from this unclean restaurant, I suggest you avoid this place! Not only was the customer service sloppy but the guy who was bagging the food up wiping sweat from his forehand with his bare hands. Not stopping to wash them or anything. Just standing there dripping sweat over the chicken and fish. The potatoe salad was definitely store bought. It was the kind that comes in the container with the red top. The frozen chicken had to been fried in some dirty oil as well as the fries. Either way, I am now sick to my stomach, literally. Meanwhile, I’m throwing up every piece of their food. Something was not cooked all of the way and my bet it was that salty ass chicken.

Born and raised in the City of Chicago you’re used to real good food. Finally finding a spot to eat to compare to say a Harolds Chicken or Eat and Run is a dream to my belly. Chicken has a spicy taste to eat which I enjoyed, rolls were bomb, fries are off the hook with the right seasoning, and that catfish was FYE! Only thing I didn’t enjoy was the mashed potatoes. Taste just like instant to me. Check em out…

Wow, after reading the reviews on this place I drove 10 miles out of my way to give it a try. The chicken was«ok», the mashed potatoes and gravy were good, but the dinner roll was a stale store bought roll, they didn’t even warm it up. The one thing I tried that I really liked was their Thai Iced Tea,(strange they had that but no sweet tea). The place is really dirty, only has one table to sit at and it was very hot inside, I couldn’t wait to get outside. I will not go there again and I can not recommend this place.

They are doing it right at Louisiana Fried Chicken. I had the chicken and seafood meal which included a piece of chicken, a piece of fish, fried shrimp and fries. Each component of the meal was on point. The shrimp were crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside, with a great Cajun seasoning adorning them. I chose fried red snapper as my fish. It had a seasoned cornmeal breaking and was nice and flaky. For my chicken, I went with a thigh. It was fried perfectly with a crunchy batter and Cajun spices while the inside was juicy and moist. Finally, the fries were cooked nicely and had that good Cajun spice liberally sprinkled over them. I was very happy with my meal.

Everytime I think I have been to all the fast food chains in the greater Sacramento area one pops up that I was unaware of. Found this place and had to put it on the schedule. With my trusty sidekick Ryan F. we were on our way. This was some damn fine chicken. Ordered the Chicken Strips and Fish combo. The chicken was not pre made frozen but nicely cut breasts that are nicely seasoned and fried to perfection. The deep fried Red Snapper had a nice cajun spice and was quite delicious. The fries were ok and the biscuit was store bought and more of a dinner role. All in all a very good experience.

DONOTBUYYOURFOODHERE! I Came here to purchase chicken. I loved this chicken in Los Angeles. I found this place in Sacramento. I drove here from Elk Grove. While waiting for my order, a customer came in because her order was wrong. She asked for her correct order to be cooked a new. They took her old chicken which she brought back with her and put it with the fresh chicken waiting to be sold. I told them that my chicken better come straight from the frier. How nasty. I got my newly cooked chicken and left. I will never go there again. Watch out your meal could be some else’s return. Who knows; they do but they aren’t going to tell you.

Louisana Fried Chicken is a restaurant to get some delicious food! If you’re able to set aside expectations for ambience then you can enjoy this diamond in the rough. It’s my first choice for fried chicken, which is far better than the fast food places. That may not say much, but there aren’t many options to get good fried chicken, besides the fast good joints. The red snapper is delicious and the shrimp fried rice is addictive! It’s better to call in your order for a few reasons: they get busy fast, there’s not much waiting room, there’s one small table but most customers order to go. The service is friendly and doesn’t have an affect my rating. Reasonable prices and food so great, I had to give 5 stars!

The food was good but the service was excellent. I never knew they had this joint in Sacramento. A friend that lived near wanted to stop by this place and get some food so I can’t pass up some fried chicken. I’ve been cutting back on that stuff since I learned it doesn’t help sculpt ones six pack abs. Maybe I can draw the outside with the oil but nothing sexy about that. LoL… The lady that worked behind the cash register had to put up with so many rude customers. I just saw how she kept her cool and still delivered great service regardless of the situation. I was eating and observing the whole time with my tasty 3 piece chicken + 1 side combo w/drink at hand. I gave her props and now a 5 star review !! ** Side note ** The chicken they fried took 10 minutes to make so I had to wait for the order and the chicken to cool down. that’s why I observed so much ;). the chicken was crispy and all so yummy !!
