Brought my car in for a tiny scratch on my bumper from being rear ended. I made my appt through Geico at 8 am and they accomidated me despite being a about 10 min late due to rain. I told them I didnt have a rental and was ubering to work and would need to know sooner than later if I would need to set up a rental. Come 2pm I hadnt heard anything and was beginning to worry so i called and was told someone would call me shortly so i let them know all I needed was to know if I needed a rental and they said yes. My parents were taking care of the cost of everything and had said a rental was fine if we needed one but I couldn’t get ahold of them and was at work trying to figure it out so I called back to speak with a manager just to voice my frustration. Here is how the rest of my afternoon went… 515 someone from the shop (I believe Briana?) personally came and picked me up and took me to Enterprise were The Manager at the shop (john?) had set up and paid for a 1 day rental for me. The next day after work I dropped my rental off at the shop and didn’t have to worry about getting it back to Enterprise when I picked up my car that looks like nothing ever happened to it. Thank you for helping ease a stressful situation!

Being new to Sacramento we relied on social websites to find a good provider to replace our driver’s side mirror on our Ford Transit Connect. We were extremely impressed with all aspects of our experience at Kniesels. The entire staff was professional, helpful and friendly. The facility itself was very clean and welcoming. We worked with John Estrada and were so impressed with his courteous, efficient manner. We made an appointment and the work was done in 45 minutes. There is no doubt we will certainly turn to Kniesels again should the need arise.

Unfortunately we were rear ended and needed some body work to be done on a 2001 Honda Accord. We went to a couple of places for estimates but settled on this shop because of the reviews. We sure are glad we did! We brought it in Christmas week and they said it would take 3 – 4 business days to fix. They called my husband periodically to keep him apprised of the situation and were very friendly. When we went to go pick up the car, we were very impressed! John explained to us what was done, etc. Everything about him is very professional! The car is a bit old so the paint job is not as spiffy anymore but they pretty much were able to match it. Now the bumper just looks amazing! We took off and a couple days later we noticed the trunk wasn’t closing properly. My husband called and they said sure, bring it on in. We brought it in today (¹²⁄₃₀), they took a look at it, and said oh wow, yes, let me fix that for you. They said we can have it fixed in about 10 minutes and offered us coffee as we waited. I decided to go to the corner bakery and get some snacks and when I came back, my husband said they gave him a giftcard to Starbucks! WOW! That’s some amazing customer service right there. We will definitely be back if we ever need any collision repairs (I mean, I hope we don’t but if we do… I know who to go to!)
We were always immediately greeted each time we walked into the body shop and helped immediately. (Almost like they have people just waiting for people to come in.)
Overall, this was a great experience and I would recommend this place to anyone!

We would give Kniesel’s Collision Center on 18^th Street a 6-​star if Unilocal has this option. :) We got our car back today, on Christmas eve, as good as new. John, their manager, has always been on top of the things — he called us from time to time, just to give us updates on the repair process. And their technicians worked so hard to finish the repair well that we could get our car back before Christmas. What a phenomenal job they did!

I took my car in for an estimate for a minor repair around October 28^th because the dealership was going to charge me over $ 200 and I felt that was way too much when the part was about $ 10. I worked with John Estrada and he was very nice and respectful so I did not feel he was over selling me on anything. He quoted me $ 100 for the repair, which I felt was much more reasonable. I took my car in a few days later and everyone was super sweet including the guy who took me into work that morning. When I got my car back it looked great and was happy with the service. The location was great and I like that they have other locations as well. I paid for this on my own so I cannot speak to how they deal with insurance. I would use their services again.

Excellent service at Kniesels! Everyone in the office was very friendly and helpful and John was very tentative as well. Quick to get an estimate and quick to get an appointment. They kept me updated on the progress of my car and the result was excellent! thanks kniesels!

The quality of work was very poor and embarrassing, but at least the customer service was above average and empathetic.
I chose to bring my car here because of the great customer service reviews on Unilocal, (which are accurate), however the quality of work was shoddy and embarrassing. It took Kniesels more than a month to work on my car, which was understandable because it was a big job, and the manager John was nice enough to give me a gift card to PF Chang’s because of the long wait. However, once I picked up my car I immediately noticed that the plastic lining on my front bumper wasn’t flush/​even and was sticking out. Then I noticed the rock guard on the bottom of my car was very bumpy and uneven, compared to the side where there was no work done. Had to wait to pick it up a few days later. A few weeks after I picked up my car, I saw that the light on my rear bumper above the license plate was dangling out of the socket, my automatic windows weren’t working, and the door handle was very rough and hard to open. Very frustrating because my car was only a few months old, a 2015 VW Golf, and these were all areas where work was done. Had to go back a second time, and at least Brianna at the front desk was nice enough to drop me off at work a few blocks away.
Kniesels does offer a lifetime guarantee, but that offer really is moot if you have to bring your car back every other week when you continue to find something else wrong with it.
Just grateful that Kniesels didn’t have to touch my engine, and next time I’ll be choosing quality over customer service.

Updated to reflect proactive approach and remedy to my previously stated problem. Thanks for taking care of the missing part! There was a technical difficulty that didn’t help the situation, although follow-​up via phone always works bests, but either way they were responsive and attentive and the car looks great (the important part).

Staff were generally friendly and professional, though a bit confused. I stood around waiting for awhile, because the guy giving estimates was busy with another customer, before I realized I had to go elsewhere within the shop to get helped by the admin staff first. The work was done in the promised time. But the repair quality fell short of expectations. It was a small job, but the repair was not thorough and evidence of the bumper scuffing and minor deformity is still obviously visible. They touched up most of the paint, the big spot; some scuffed paint areas in between the cracks were ignored (and it stands out like a sore thumb) — though this could have been easily painted if they had actually taken the bumper off like they said they did on the bill. The at-​fault person’s insurance covered it, but basically it cost $ 600+ to have a small area of paint touched up and other areas not apparently addressed. Certainly better than I could do myself with a crappy touch up pen, but I expected better from the pros.
I don’t have time to complain to the body shop, pay for another car rental, go back to drop it off again and pick it up again, call the insurance adjuster to see if they’ll cover an extended car rental, etc. etc. when the work is disappointing. My time is valuable and it already cost me many hours of inconvenience to deal with the insurance (who initially messed up the claim), driving out to the adjuster’s office and back, going to the body shop three times (for an estimate, to drop off, and to repair), waiting for a ride to the car rental agency — you get the point. It’s all such a huge time suck for a relatively small scuff. Too bad they couldn’t just take care of it 100%.
Also, there was some confusion about my car rental drop-​off. Kniesels told me just to leave the car there, and that Enterprise routinely came by to pick up rentals that were done. I was worried the rental agency would consider the car to be «out of service» until I brought it back to Enterprise. A month later, I get a call from Enterprise trying to charge me for an extra 4 days, since the rental apparently just sat there over a Sat, Sun, and holiday Monday before they realized they should come get it. I eventually got this cleared up, but not without some extra hassle.
Basically, the whole experience was a hassle with multiple points of confusion and miscommunication, and ultimately less than stellar work.

I wish I could give them 10 stars! I am so happy with the repairs they did and I used to refinish cars! And the service and attention to detail is phenomenal! So glad my insurance guided me to them!

AMAZING!!! Got in an unexpected fender bender and they quickly replaced my bumber and lift gate in less than a week, and kept me up to date with the status of my car regularly. Everyone there is friendly and I would go back to them in a heartbeat.

Can’t say enough good things about this place. Everyone was super friendly. They worked around my insurance with out any issue. My car came out looking flaw free. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone with car damage.

This shop made a difficult situation much better. I have an IID installed on my vehicle and the IID company made it extremely difficult to get the work done. Wit a «let’s fix this» attitude we were able to resolve this stressful situation quickly. From the beginning the customer service was outstanding. I had 3 quotes by different shops for the work, and although the prices were competitive Matt made the choice an easy one. He was very responsive, friendly and easy to work with. And believe me, this situation was wrought with complications.
In summary: EXCELLENT customer service and of course it goes without saying, the car looks as good as new. If I need auto body service again I’ll wait until the IID is removed and I will definitely give them my return business.

These guys did an outstanding job on my truck. My truck is 11 years old and the cladding is sun faded and they did a good job finding cladding that would be a close match. The actual paint and body repairs are perfect. I took my truck in Monday morning and it was ready for me Tuesday evening. They kept me informed by text message on the progress and had answers for any questions… Hope I never need them again, but will return if I do.

I had my Camaro transferred to the Downtown location due to the Citrus Heights location being too busy. I was hesitant at first but Matt made the entire process SEAMLESS. He was constantly updating me on my cars condition and keeping me up to date of when they expected to have my car back to me and even went ABOVE AND BEYOND just getting my car back to me the way it was before i got in an accident. Extremely helpful and amazing service. I 100% recommend bringing your car into this location if it needs work. Thanks again for the help Matt!

Great professionalism, service and collision work! Everyone I had contact with was top-​notch, from Amber in the office to John the manager. They got me in quickly, finished the work in under two days, called the rental car company to come pick me up and even polished my headlamps as a courtesy. They are a preferred vendor to USAA, which I understand have high quality guidelines. After my job was completed, I have no doubt they go above and beyond even the most strict quality standards — it’s just how they do business. Thanks John and Amber! This place is the best! The work they did on my car after I was rear-​ended was great, and they made the entire process easy. The team here went above and beyond to make sure that I was satisfied.

Someone backed into me in a parking lot. Minor damage. I called her insurance company who provided me with some choices for repair. I have driven by this center a million times and thought I would give them a try.
They promptly got me in for an estimate. Later that day I received an email with the quote and was quickly scheduled for an appointment. Arrived to drop off the car and they had all the paperwork ready. Enterprise was called and got me a car. John communicated the progress of the repairs daily.
Excellent customer service. I didn’t even have to drop the car off at Enterprise they took care of everything!

Very pleased with my experience at Kniesel’s. Everyone was very helpful, walked me through the process, and delivered fantastic results. They even remembered the detailed lettering within the back bumper of my Compass! Truly, all involved (Amber, Brianna, and John) were extremely professional and courteous. I would recommend Kniesel’s for your automotive body shop repairs!
