Kmemo Tacobar Catering

We’ve been to three events where Kmemo has catered their delicious amazing food. One was a larger party and two were smaller events, all executed seamlessly. Food was fresh and seasoned perfectly. The ladies were very polite, quickly set up, and left no mess. We can’t wait to have them cater our next event.

I have attended 2 separate events where Memos Tacos Provided the food. The first was for an team building event, the food was delicious and Memo and his team were great. The second event I attended was a Family Birthday Party. All of the guest really enjoyed the food and once again the the service was great. I’m looking forward to having Memo and his team at my upcoming baby shower. It will be a huge help not having to worry about food, and being able to enjoy the time with my guests.

I attended a wedding that Kmemo catered, and the food and service were so good I decided to book them for mine!
Their meats were perfectly cooked and seasoned, and their condiments were fresh. They were also able to serve 100+ people quickly, so everyone was eating at roughly the same time. The presentation was simple but nice, highlighting the quality food served by their friendly, responsive staff. What more could you want?

We had Guillermo’s (his daughter actually) come out for our Son and future daughter-in-law’s engagement party. There were 43 people at the event and everything went perfectly. The food was delicious and everyone kept talking about how great everything tasted. We went with chicken, carne asada, BBQ pork. She showed up right on time and was very polite and professional. There was plenty of food. We would definitely choose them again for another event we may have in the future.

I attended a party of a friend with his catering and the food was so fresh and so good. I was quite impressed by the quality of meat for a taco service, also very clean. Very professional from the time we called him to our booking.

This was my first time using this service and it was great! The staff was friendly, accommodating and very helpful. The food was excellent and they definitely came prepared with enough for my 60 person celebration. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is was because they were a half hour late. Other than that, I would happily use their services again!

Guillermo’s daughter and assistant provided outstanding food and customer service to all 65 of my guests. Some hiccups in communication and punctuality, but All in all, the quality of the food, outstanding service, and follow-​up phone call after the service, far surpasses any foibles. I would highly recommend Guillermo without reservation.

I first found Kmemo Tacobar when I attended a retirement party in El Dorado Hills last March. Guillermo had such a comprehensive set up, delicious food and personal service.
We had an upcoming surprise birthday party in May 2015 for about 40 people and hiring Kememo Tacobar was a no brainer. The arrived promptly on time at the party and it was great to have the aroma of the food being cooked while our guest were enjoying drinks. The overall experience was flawless and we received numerous compliments from our guest on the food. I believe almost everyone had seconds or third servings and no one left hungry.
It’s now July 2015 and we have another milestone birthday to celebrate and again we look forward to Guillermo and his team to cater the food for 50 of our guest this Saturday!

I had KMemo Tacobar cater my father’s 70^th birthday celebration last summer. They did an excellent job and everyone was complimentary of the food. I think they provide a good value and wonderful selection of meats. The sides (rice, beans, salsas) were also delicious. I would recommend KMemo Tacobar to anyone looking for a wonderful taco bar caterer.

We had Kmemo Tacobar cater our Son’s baptism this weekend, and everyone loved it! We had about 30 people which is the mimium number they will cater. It was a last minute choice for us, so I spoke with Guillermo just a couple of days before the event and he was willing to squeeze us into a fully booked day. Roberto was our man, he came out and set up everything. He brought the plates, napkins and forks, plus all the fixings for the tacos. He cooked up all the food and people lined up. The food was AMAZING! We had 3 meat choices, chicken, steak and al pastor. They even made veggie tacos and quesadillas for the non-​meat eaters of the group. Almost everyone had seconds or thirds! And one of the best parts… we had zero cleanup!!! We didn’t have to worry about anything. Our guests were all talking about how good the food was and what a great set up it was. The price is well worth it too. We paid less than what it would have cost to order from a restaurant and pick it up. And the fact that they cook everything right there in front of you was quite the experience!
We will definitely use Kmemo Tacobar again, and I’m sure some of guest will. I’m glad Roberto had some business cards. I have a feeling they will be getting some phone calls for party bookings.

I hired Kmemo for a December Christmas work party. They were on time, friendly, accommodating and prepared plenty of great food for the party. I enjoyed them so much I am hiring them to cater my son’s high school graduation party. I will let you know how it goes.

My sister in law used Kmemo Taco truck a few months ago and it was great! The food was amazing the set up was perfect. They bring everything you need. I can’t wait to use them next month for my daughters party!

We hired Kmemo for an event we held for our clients last Saturday. They showed up on time and got right to work. They were very polite and easy to work with. The food was AMAZING! Our clients were all very impressed and it showed as they went back for seconds, and even thirds. :) Kmemo was also very affordable. Everything thing Guillermo said he would do got done and on time. Food/​sides were everything we expected and more. No question that we will be using Kmemo again in the future for our client events. Thank you Guillermo :)

KMemo catered my GF’s birthday party yesterday. I will admit I was kind of surprised when two teenagers showed up at our house, but any concerns were quickly put to ease when Memo’s daughter started ordering her cousin around. She was no doubt an expert at this. In addition, these two were very polite and courteous. Everyone had nothing but nice things to say about these two.
The price was very fair for all you can eat tacos and the meat choices I picked (Asada, Pastor and Carnitas) were phenomenal. Our guests could not get enough and loved every bit of it. All I can really say is: Thank you for making my job easy and the amazing food. Also, Memo, you done a great job with your daughter and nephew as I cannot speak highly enough about how friendly they are. Thanks again!

I would have to agree their communication leaves much to be desired. People expect fast responses in this day and age.
But besides that, at the two events I’ve had them at the food was delicious, they were punctual and polite and their setup was professional. We chose the steak, chicken and pork and all were excellent. They are affordable too. My only issue is they ran out of rice and that was that. They had 20 minutes left so it was a bummer. I’m still giving them 5 stars though since I like their tacos so much!

I hired Kmemotacobar for two events and I couldn’t be happier with his service, he was there earlier than what we agree which I was happy for that, The food was excellent and my guest loved his service as well, I look forward for more events and food from Guillermo… BTW if you like shrimp his Tacos are the Best!!!

We had an AMAZING time with Kmemo Tacobar Catering. We settled everything over the phone, they came early to make sure everything was perfect, and the food was wonderful. Everyone at my grandmother’s birthday loved it. We would use them again for sure!!!

The details: Party for my son’s birthday. Guest list of about 60. Wanted Guillermo to come out to do catering for a couple of hours. Based on what I read here, it seemed like a perfect fit! But it was exactly the opposite. Here’s what went down:
6÷3÷14 — Emailed Guillermo to inquire about having him cater my son’s birthday party.
6÷4÷14 — Received an email back with a detailed description of what he offers. I emailed back and asked if he was available for my event on 6÷28÷14. Didn’t hear anything back.
6÷5÷14 — Emailed Guillermo again and asked if he could do my party. Didn’t hear anything back.
6÷7÷4 — Called Guillermo and mentioned that we had been communicating via email and needed to know if he was available for my party. He said that he was driving and would call me in 45 minutes when he returned home. He did not call me back that day.
6÷8÷14 — Emailed Guillermo, and asked again if he could do my event on ⁶⁄₂₈ and would appreciate a reply so I could go ahead and try to book another caterer if he was not available. He didn’t call back.
6÷9÷14 — Guillermo finally called me back. We confirmed that he would cater my son’s party and the type of food I wanted. I then emailed him the details of my party (location, date, type of food, number of expected guests… etc.) He said that he would email me a confirmation back right away — but again, he didn’t follow up and do like he said.
6÷10÷14 — I emailed Guillermo again, asking him if he received the details of my event and to confirm via email ASAP, as I was leaving for a 10 day vacation the next day. He sent me his confirmation email late that night.
Great, I was set to go on my vacation knowing that I would be ready for the party when I got back… I enjoyed ten days in paradise with my family.
6÷24÷14 — Wednesday night, THREE DAYS BEFORE my son’s party — I get a call from Guillermo asking if I was still interested in having him cater the party. UUUUH, YEAAH, I’m thinking, that’s what we confirmed, right? Not like I had any other plans for feeding 60+ people! So I surprisingly said, yes, of course, we’re expecting you. Well, he proceeds to give me the following bullish! t:
«Because your party is located in Elk Grove, and we are located in downtown off broadway and 19^th, there will be a $ 70 (i.e. SEVENTY DOLLAR — I had to clarify that with him because I was in shock) fuel surcharge/​distance fee.»
«But because this is last minute and I understand that it will be hard for you to find another caterer at this time, I TALKED TO MY BOSS (wait. what boss? I thought this was his own business??) and he said that it would be ok if we just charge you $ 50 (FIFTY DOLLARS) for the fuel surcharge/​distance fee.»
And me, in simple words… was basically like, HELL NO. So he came back at me, like,
«Well what if I do this. I’ll charge you $ 40 for the fuel surcharge/​distance fee, and I“ll pay the $ 10 on top of that, but we can’t tell ‘my boss’ that we’re doing that, cause I could get in trouble for that.»
OKAY. First of all, this is THREE DAYS before my event. Second, he knew from day one that my event was in Elk Grove. Why all of a sudden the $ 70 (then $ 50, then $ 40…) surcharge? And third… WHAT BOSS? This is his own business?
So my SHADY radar is on full alert, and I know this guy’s just trying to pull a quick one on me. I cancelled the event with him the next day, after about 12 hours of stressing and searching frantically for another caterer. (BTW, quick plug: Hannibal’s Catering — you can’t go wrong.)
I really wanted to like Guillermo, I gave him ample opportunity for my business. The reviews here seemed really good. But this guy was just shady from the very beginning. I shouldn’t of have even wasted my time! Guillermo just caused me stress and was a pure waste of my time. NEVER AGAIN!

We had the pleasure of Guillermo cater our 1 year old’s first birthday party. We had another caterer booked and he canceled a week before her party. Luckily, to our surprise, Guillermo had an availability! My husband was the one who set everything up and from his response Guillermo was very detailed, professional and accommodating.
Kmemo Tacobar Catering came an hour before the food was served and setup their grill and tables. We chose the chicken, carne asada and pineapple pork. They provided toppings, salsa, chips, rice and beans and everything was DELICIOUS! My family and friends really enjoyed the tacos.
Kmemo Tacobar Catering had amazing service, outstanding food, and were accommodating. We will definitely recommend them to family and friends and use them for future parties.

Before I found Guillermo I had another Taco Bar booked. I called the person a week before my daughter’s 1^st birthday to confirm the date, and the Taco Bar guy cancelled and said he was out of town. Craziness!
Luckily Guillermo had an opening, and accommodated my late request. He’s very detailed, approachable, and friendly. The execution was on point, the food was SUPERB, and the most important thing was everyone loved the food. Thank you Guillermo!
