Dr. Hashimoto practices a full scope of general and cosmetic dentistry for children, elderly, and everyone in between. His expertise ranges from porcelain veneers to dental implants, crowns, bridges, dentures, and fillings. Dr. Hashimoto can now correct a wide variety of so-​called permanent cosmetic dental problems, and can literally redesign your smile.

When you seek care at our office, you are assured that Dr. Hashimoto and his staff utilize the latest in technology (including digital radiography, laser dentistry, intraoral cameras, and CEREC restorations) to enhance the quality and fit for your dental care.

For those who experience high levels of anxiety when visiting the dentist, you may be a candidate for Sedation Dentistry. Dr. Hashimoto is Board Certified to administer (oral conscious) sedation, commonly referred to as «Sleep Dentistry.»

History

Established in 1978.

Dr. Hashimoto graduated from Washington University School of Dental Medicine in St. Louis, MO. After teaching there for a year, Dr. Hashimoto returned to his hometown Sacramento, where he has practiced dentistry since.

Dr. Hashimoto’s post graduate training includes completing the cosmetic and restorative curriculum at Las Vegas Institute and Seattle Institute for Advanced Dental Education with Dr. Frank Spears. His training continues at Scottsdale Center for Dentistry in Arizona. He is trained, certified, and licensed to practice Laser Dentistry, Oral Conscious Sedation, and CAD-​CAM Dentistry with CEREC.

Dr. Hashimoto maintains active membership with the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Sacramento District Dental Society.

Dr. Hashimoto feels his patients recognize his dental team’s collective commitment to treat them with compassion and the greatest effort we can put forth. He is thrilled to witness the evolution of dentistry and the recent explosion in technological advances. No stones gather moss here. He feels growth is the lifesource of our fine practice.

Outside of work, Dr. Hashimoto’s interests include gardening, fishing, and sharing good food and good drink with family and friends. He enjoys travel, introducing himself to interesting experiences, places, and faces. Dr. Hashimoto’s greatest interests revolve around dentistry. He feels blessed to have competent and committed staff that are similarly dedicated to serve the needs of our wonderful patients.

Negative reviews always have a way of standing out to us, but take them with a grain of a salt. I figured I’d add to the positivity if you’re in the neighborhood for a new dentist.
I’ve been seeing Dr. Hashimoto probably for 12 years? He’s literally watched me grow up from a little kid, to a tween needing braces, to a teen trying to keep her teeth straight to a young adult getting her wisdom teeth needed taken out.
Every experience here has always been pleasant. The front desk is worked by Valerie, who’s been there for quite some years now. My hygienists have changed over the year, but they’ve been wonderful from the start. I’ve never had horrific experiences with Dr. Hashimoto and I love how he explains the process of what he’s doing.
While I don’t get super anxious over teeth stuff, it’s extremely reassuring in the he takes his time to explain without all the dentist jargon what the heck is going on.
I ended up having a small cavity on a back tooth and Dr. Hashimoto told me that it could definitely be done without numbing since it was so close to the surface. He explained everything to me in a manner that had me very calm. It was a very easy and painless experience and that was all due to his professionalism and easy going attitude.
I know there are reviews that say things about him that are not so nice, but just remember not everyone has great experiences or sometimes there’s miscommunication. I’ve been coming here since I was 7 or 8 and I’m now 21. i can tell you for a fact that he’s a great dentist with a great attitude. He makes these appointments enjoyable and personable. He watched me grow up, start middle school, graduate middle school, start high school, graduate high school and now here I am, about to finish my undergrad.
Wonderful dentist that provides great service and experiences! Also, the warm apricot towelettes are wonderful!

I have been seeing Dr. Hashimoto for many years now and have recommended him to my family and several friends. I would give him 10 stars, if possible. He is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, conscientious, and caring, and I trust him completely with his decisions. He ensures that he hires staff that are equally as competent. Dr. Hashimoto and his staff have turned my visits into something I look forward to — it is always a very positive and upbeat experience, while still very professional. That was definitely not the case with the dentists and their staff that I had prior to finding this office.
I recently went to a specialist for a consultation for a specific dental procedure. Afterwards, I contacted Dr. Hashimoto via email regarding some questions and concerns I had. Not only did he take time out of his busy day to contact me directly via phone to ensure he understood my concerns, he then communicated with the specialist directly and ensured that my concerns were thoroughly addressed, ultimately resulting in a successful primary procedure, while avoiding an unnecessary secondary procedure.
When my mother was still driving, she went to Dr. Hashimoto’s office and left her dental devices there. This was at the end of her driving days and they recognized that driving was becoming stressful for her because of her blood pressure, which they always check prior to performing any dental procedure. One of the staff members was kind enough to go out of her way to drop them off to her on her way home after work.
Both my mom and I live in East Sacramento and now schedule our appointments together so I can drive her. My son lives about 90 miles away and he comes into town to see Dr. Hashimoto as well. None of us give a second thought about going the distance to this office as Dr. Hashimoto and his staff have gone above and beyond the distance to take excellent care of us over the years.
I highly recommend this dental practice.

Hashimoto has serious personality issues. His equipment seems good, and might have good dental skills, but the man has the biggest ego problem I’ve ever encountered with any medical professional. I’ve never had a dentist initiate a stare-​down before — it’s extremely awkward, especially when you’re in the chair, and he’s looming over you. He’s a short guy, and that probably plays a part of his insecurity, but to let it affect the clinical setting — that’s completely unprofessional, and it destroys the trust needed in a dr. — patient relationship. Oh, and at the slightest bit of resistance to his pushiness, he’ll drop a patient. Just like that. He needs to keep his office totally submissive.
No trust whatsoever, and no respect for his ego. the guy’s a colossal tool.

I have been going to Dr. Hashimoto for more than 20 years. He is very up to date on new equipment and keeps abrest of new dental techniques. I feel he has kept me teeth healthy and prevented me from tooth loss on a couple occasions. Everyone on his staff is efficient and he has everyone well trained. I have had 3 other dentists in Sacramento, before finding him. I would recommend him without reservation.

Dr. Hashimoto is absolutely one of the best men you could ever meet. He pays particular attention to detail and strives to be the best at what he does. He’s very kind, caring, thoughtful and giving. I love his outgoing nature and great sense of humor. He’s precisely who you’d want to go to and take your family to.
I’m shocked to see a negative review. I think «heidi k.» needs to step back and give him another chance. That review is quite harsh. Really, how do you accept a free dental procedure, that your insurance won’t cover, then throw an unsubstantiated accusation of insurance fraud at the man who’s doing you the favor. Not cool «heidi k.»!! How ungrateful can you be???
On a lighter note, Dr. Hashimoto has the best staff, especially Michele! She’s such a sweetheart. She a pleasure to be around and goes out of her way to brighten everyone’s day.
I want to send a big thanks to Dr. Hashimoto’s office. You guys are awesome!

Dr. Hashimoto and his staff provide THE best dental care we’ve had while living in Sacramento. We have been patients for 5 years now. The person who gave the low rating needs to re-​evaluate what good dentistry means. Dr. Hashimoto saved a tooth that my previous long-​time dentist recommended just be pulled. That was 5 years ago and I still have my own tooth. Had I listened to the oh-​so-​sweet dentist with the great «bed side manner» I would have an implant now. Sure he’s a bit gruff with his staff but he expects perfection and he gets it.

So, I needed to come in here and fix this review because Dr. Hashimoto having 1-​star is completely ludicrous. I’ve been seeing him since I had baby teeth. Seriously. He knows my family, he asks about my job and school and so on and so forth. No, he’s not Mr. Manners because he’s one dentist in an incredibly busy business and he checks EVERY SINGLE PATIENT himself. So, he can be a bit abrupt. However, he is a fantastic dentist. He’s a complete perfectionist and he wants your teeth to always look and feel perfect. Sheri (at the front desk) is one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet and she will go out of her way to set up an appointment with you.
Oh, by the way, Hashimoto cleaned my teeth OUT OF POCKET when I didn’t have dental insurance for over a year. And he also squeezed me in at the last minute when I got an infection in my mouth and didn’t know what was going on (which he also diagnosed immediately and gave me meds that cleared it up in a couple of days).
For me, bedside manner is not the most important quality in a dentist. Good dentistry is… and honestly, Dr. Hashimoto is hard to beat when it comes to good dentistry.

This Dr is the biggest jerk i have ever met in my life. First he told me that i needed an onlay but my insurance did not cover majority of it, he told the receptionist to «take care of it» and for me not to worry about… isn’t that called insurance fraud? Who knows what other treatment he is sending my insurance to cover up the rest of the expense??? He was also very disrespectful to his assistant. She forgot to get somthing or him and embarrased her in front of me. No bed side manner. Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT SEE THIS EGOTISTICAL SHORT MAN SYNDROME WALKING DOCTOR!
