Gardner Gourmet Salsa– GG Salsa is one of the best «store-​bought» salsas found in Sacramento. We use roasted tomatoes and garlic, along with cilantro to make up a salsa with the deep flavors that salsa lovers desire. GG Salsa is also very diverse– goes great on eggs, you can use as a fat free salad dressing, on sandwiches… the uses are virtually limitless. GG Salsa is also all natural and we use only locally grown tomatoes.

History

Established in 2010.

Gardner Gourmet Foods was started by me, Sash Gardner, pretty much on accident. I’ve always loved cooking, especially Mexican food. I tried and failed for months to make amazing salsa. But I kept at it and eventually came up with the perfect salsa. I shared it with everyone and it was an instant hit. I then used my Mom’s pork burrito recipe to come up with a savory variation of carnitas. Soon everyone urged me to take it to the next level. So, after many hours of R & D, in April 2010 I opened up a booth at Denio’s Farmer’s Market. I easily sold out on the first day, and it did very well during the year.

I also brought my salsa into local grocery stores. They loved it and quickly made shelf space. It’s been a hit at all stores and can be found any time in the refrigerated section.

Well, I was always in the kitchen helping out mom growing up. I don’t have formal culinary schooling– I’ve just always had a natural talent for cooking, and a couple decades of experience also helps. I’m analytical with my recipes which also enables me to get it just right. And if I can’t make a top notch recipe then I won’t offer that item. I strive to provide only the best and wow people with my food.

I’ve got an entreprenerial spirit and sincerely love to bond via great food. It truly never gets old hearing great things about my salsa and other foods. The fulfillment of making a positive impact on others is what drives me. I also strive to offer healthy options when possible, especially to families that find themselves at drive thru’s much more than they would like.
