The Fulton Avenue Pet Resort invites you to tour our facility 7 days a week, drop in between 3pm and 6pm and we would be happy to help you determine the best boarding environment for your pet. Featuring Luxury Suites for pampered pets, Indoor/​Outdoor Runs and Small Dog Condos… We also provide boarding services for cats and small caged pets i.e. Birds, Rabbits, Hamsters, Rats etc. At the Fulton Avenue Pet Resort we strive to be your pets ‘Home Away From Home’.

Our facility provides Baths, Nail Trims and Full Service Grooming. We are a major supplier of Champion Pet Foods Orijen & Acana brands. We serve Tuscan Natural to boarding pets not supplying their own diets and have several different specialty treats & toys available for sale.

Established in 1998.

The Fulton Avenue Pet Resort has been in business since 1998, our facility was previously home to the Fulton Avenue Veterinary Hospital 1952 – 1998 & continues, decades later, to be a staple in the Arden/​Arcade community. We are a family owned establishment and are dedicated to providing your pets with a ‘Home Away From Home’, while you are away.

The Fulton Avenue Pet Resort is also proud to offer Senior Discounts, as well as Military & Public Service (police, fire, etc.) Discounts with proper identification.

I have been in the Pet Care Industry since 2002 and have been a pet lover for life. I have experience with animals of all shapes and sizes and strive to learn more about their behavior, dietary requirements and care on an on-​going basis. I am certified through the PCSA as a Level 1 & 2 Pet Care Technician and have volunteered with the local SSPCA «We Pay to Spay Program» for Pit Bulls and Pit Bull Mixes.

As owner of the Fulton Avenue Pet Resort I take a hands-​on approach to the everyday care & comfort of our clients and their pets. I am the face you see when you walk in the door and I always welcome questions concerning the care, health & comfort of our clients pets.

I have boarded my two dogs here three times. Each time I was very happy with the care they received. I am very picky and I get very anxious leaving my dogs. The staff is excellent and they treated my dogs extremely well. I have a shar-​pei and a shar-​pei/​dalmation. The shar-​pei is very fearful and shy, the staff here are very well trained and could handle him with no problems. It felt so reassuring. I have considered hiring a pet sitter to come to my home to take care of them but I chickened out because I know they will be happier at Fulton Ave. They are a godsend to me and my critters!

If I could give this place negative stars, I would!
My puppy has never stayed at daycare before, but I will not take him back here. When we I dropped him off, the place had a horrible smell, but I figured it was from all the pets there. When I picked up my puppy, the smell actually went away.
I picked him up around 5:15 pm and asked when was the last time he let out to play. They said they don’t know. I asked when was the last time they let him out to potty, they said BEFORE noon. the whole point of me dropping him off at a daycare was so he would not be confined in a crate for more than 5 hours, but it turned out to be a waste of time and money to have him here.
Worst of all, they had lost our leash that we just bought last week. They tried to give us a cheap looking one, but my boyfriend asked for a refund on the leash instead, which they did.
Overall the lady at the front desk did not have good customer service, she wasn’t very friendly, and she did not handle our lost leash situation very well. Especially when she tried to give us a free cheap looking leash.
Overall, I am very dissatisfied and never coming back here again.

Not very friendly over the phone. Customer service skills below par. Asked when I can tour the place and was told only between 3 – 6. Really? Your open 12 hrs and we can only tour between those hours? Sounds fishy to me. I work for a living and that 3 hour window is impossible. I would NOT trust my babies staying here nor could I recommend them. Unfortunately your short impossible window for a tour does not allow us to do business. I went to another facility that was able to make accommodations and couldn’t be happier. If your looking for a great place to board or daycare check out the ones in west sac (I won’t name names but there isn’t many) My babies and I couldn’t be happier with our decision. The facility I used went out of their way to make sure both my babies and I were happy. Now that’s good business.

My dog is very active and a little high-​strung. I had bad experiences at two boarding facilities, both much more expensive than Fulton Avenue Pet Resort, where they just didn’t seem to understand dog behavior beyond the easy, calm dogs. I was a little reluctant to try Fulton Avenue Pet Resort when a friend highly recommended it, because I figured the expensive ones had to be better. But boy, was I wrong! They not only understand how to work with my dog, they helped me out with the recommendation of an herbal supplement that has alleviated some of his anxiety. And he loves them. He gets excited as soon as we take the exit off the freeway, and doesn’t even look back when they take his leash. Plus, as somebody else mentioned, they remember the customers and pets. Finally, the staff seems to have little or no turnover, which is a good sign. Give them a try. You and your best bud will be really happy you did.

This place is the best! My dog can’t wait to get out of the car when we pull up. He loves it here. They take really good care of him. If they see anything going on with his skin or his health they always let me know! I feel good about boarding him there. I’ve tried other places and I wasn’t satisfied. I absolutely 100% recommend Fulton Avenue Pet Resort!

I needed a dog hotel for my dog last minute. Normally, my dog has a dog sitter so I didn’t have any of the shots needed for boarding. This is the only place in Sacramento that doesn’t require bordetella shots 7 days prior to boarding. They will administer it there as well.
The place is kind of hidden. It’s in between and all the way in the back of two car dealerships.
The restroom has a handful of cats hanging out which I thought was cute. My dog likes cats so he didn’t mind seeing them wander around as we checked in.
I booked the indoor/​outdoor run for my dog. His bed was placed in the inside portion and he had an outside access that he could see his other dog boardmates. They allow an additional pet to boarded with. Unless your dogs are small, I would recommend the luxury suite if it’s for more than one dog.
They will provide anything you don’t bring. I brought my dog’s toys, food, and bed so he would be comfortable away from home. Check out is at 12 pm. Pets will be charged a daycare fee if picked up any time after.
This will definetely be my go to place for a dog hotel. Next time, I think I’ll upgrade my dog to a luxury suite with his own private room so he won’t get too nervous from hearing the other dogs barking.

This place is great. They are very accomodating with scheduling, the prices are reasonable, and they are friendly. The lady that owns it knows who I am when I call before I even mention my name. Best of all, my dogs absolutely love it there. They run out of the car and stand at the front door whining to get in every time we take them. They come back clean and well-​cared for. One of my labs needs ear meds regularly and they do an excellent job administering them to her. This last time, she and her ear came back in better condition than when I dropped her off! It’s a top notch establishment.

I’ve taken Lili my boxer mix to Fulton Ave Pet Resort 3 or 4 times and have had a good experience each time.
They’re close to my house, the prices are very reasonable, the staff may not be excessively friendly but they are always curteous, and seems like my dog does well here. I worried the first time I dropped her off because she has so much energy that she can be difficult to handle– but Lili came back to me just as good as when I dropped her off, and the staff didn’t have any problems with her.
Shoot, the last time I picked Lili up, she was so in love with the staff that she barely noticed I was there to bring her home! That’s the best endorsement I can think of for a pet boarding business :3

This place sucks. The women that work here are extremely short and don’t have much to say when you ask them questions. They also don’t really seem that friendly.
We boarded our rabbit here for a week and she was fine, then when we picked her up she had urine stains on her feet as well as a bladder infection. We asked if everything went fine and if our rabbit had done okay and they said, «Yeah!». They obviously don’t know much about animal health to know that something wasn’t right. What was upsetting to my mom was the fact that it looked as if our rabbit’s cage had not been cleaned enough or they had waited until the last minute to clean it.
It’s really hard to find a place that boards rabbits, so we were disappointed with our experience. The women here don’t give off a «warm» vibe, instead they act like they have better things to do than answer their customers’ questions thoroughly and cheerfully. We would rather board our animals at our local vet than at this place. Shame.

Seemed a little loud and the attendants did not seem happy to be there. Our 2 dogs (5 yo lab and 4yo border collie) roomed together and seemed fine when we returned. For the price it seems great. we now have a 14 month old German shepherd so we’ll have to get an extra kennel for her next time :)

I have this cute little dog named India, actually she is both mine and my daughter’s dog.
I have been taking her to the Resort for years now.
Being that this is our first time being dog owners and we had to learn many lessons on how to be good and responsible dog owners over the last 9 years, and she is still happy, so I suppose we are doing something right.
I live in the neighborhood of the Pet Resort and after listening to a number of recommendations of other dog owners I started to take my dog to the Resort to be taken care of during vacations as well as for grooming.
I am very comfortable leaving her under their care, each time I have her groomed she comes back shiny and happy.
I know she is well taken care of while I am gone, even for as long as a two week vacation in Asia where a house sitter flaked on me they took care of her on short notice. She was walked daily, got attention and was safe.
I am sure it is not like being with Mommy at home, but as close as it can get, I see that they care and I appreciate it.
The prices are reasonable, I recommend this place to all for your loved pets.

I boarded my 50 lb dog here for 4 nights while I was out of town. I took a tour of the place first and didn’t love the condition of some of the cages, but she was being upgraded to a luxury suite so it wasn’t really applicable to me anyway. They had music blaring in the outdoor run area, and I couldn’t tell if it was for the benefit of the dogs or for the workers – didn’t like it though. I didn’t love the place and the people were only sort of lukewarm in terms of friendliness; if it wasn’t for the close location, I probably would’ve gone elsewhere since their prices are pretty much the same as other places (expect $ 25−30/night depending on boarding choice). However, I will say that my dog came back healthy, clean, and apparently happy so I guess I can’t complain.

I’ve left my dog (small breed) there for overnight trips twice. He also had his nails trimmed while staying there.
When I got him back, he seemed alright and not terribly traumatized, although he didn’t eat or drink much while there. I assume he had an accident on his blanket, because they washed it for me.
They have play time based on how long their stay is, and you can purchase additional sessions.
Their prices are very reasonable.

So i brought my two Dobies (mom and puppy) here for daycare. First time ever leaving them in a kennel!
The facility was nice and clean BUT LOUD! So many dogs barking! this was just on my tour. The kennels are not partitioned so other dogs see each other. I had to schedule a tour of the facility (made my mind wonder), I also toured The Folsom Pet Resort in Folsom (see that review) which I liked BUT I didn’ t like the price! They were more quiet and the kennels were partitioned so dogs didn’t see each other.
I didn’t like how the techs didn’t display they passion for what they do, I mean you should love pets to work at a kennel! All the girls that I met didn’t seem thrilled to be there! I don’t think they like their job! Which made me not want to bring them back.
Day One of daycare: the puppies didn’t know what to make of it. They were there for 12 hours. Supposedly they had two play sessions and potty breaks. I pick them up and they were sooo excited to see me, we barely made it out the door and the dogs had go to the bath room; they were ready to leave the place that they jumped into the truck hurriedly! I asked ‘how they were’ and the tech says that mom was very protective of her puppy and showed teeth towards other dogs. Maybe it was anxiety!
Day Two: Arrive at the daycare and the dogs did not show any signs of excitement while parked in front of the place. Usually, they get excited and pant heavy with joy to go to the dog park, the river, etc, but here they didn’t! Picked them up and they weren’t in too of a hurry to leave the place. They seemed to have been OK with the place, I guess. They seem to pant heavy like they didn’t get enough water.
I would bring them back if I had to. The cost is REALLY affordable compared to The Folsom Pet Resort. The nice thing about this place is that they have individual play time (hopefully with the techs) which this is also a down side! My dogs love to play with other dogs.
I would recommend this place is money is an issue, BUT I would highly recommend The Folsom Pet Resort.
