Middle of tomato season and tomatoes taste disgusting. The service is awful. Food made me want to throw up. When I first got my burger I only got a tiny piece of bacon and the BBQ sauce tasted like dust and dirt. The buns were soggy and it was all just an overall horrible experience. The only way this place can get away with this type of mediocrity is when all of their patron are drunk out of their minds. DONOTEATHERE.

I’ve always been a fan. Loud jukebox, strong drinks, relaxed fun atmosphere, fun diversions and games. Had a birthday party here once and everyone had a great time.

This place grosses me out… The drink I got tasted like acetone, the food was super greasy and everything just seemed really grimy all around. The prices were about the same as some of the nicest bars in town and absolutely should not have been so high. The bartender was nice, so I guess that’s the only thing that got them a couple stars.

My review for this place is for the experience of riding a bull. It was my 21st bday and it was fun! It was nerve wrecking trying out the bull in front of everyone but hey, grab a few shots and you won’t care at all! I’m not sure how drinks are over here with the prices because I didn’t pay for my bday but we know ky had patron. We sat at the bar for a little while and the guy made us some strawberry starburst drink and it was alriigghhtt. It was good but it was a waste, alcohol wise. The food was alright, nothing to care for but we were all hungry so it tasted heavenly at the time. Overall, try the mechanical bull out! You’ll have to sign a waiver and it’s free for your bday. I think it’s 6 bucks if you wanna try it out.

Do not expect a smile from any employee here. Truly felt like they all hate their job and made it almost uncomfortable ordering a drink or riding the bull.

Drinks were cheap selection was small but the company made it worth while. If it was later I would’ve rode the bull.

The wait for food was over 30 minutes even for a simple salad! Portion sizes were also pretty ridiculous. My half salad was on a plate made for sides… huge rip off –___– also, when I arrived there was only one bar tender and the poor girl was just messing up all the orders.

I would give this place negative stars if possible. Let me tell you why. I dropped off a couple of friends there only to meet back up with them a short while later. Well, NOTEVEN2MINUTESLATER I get a call saying that they were kicked out for«being wierdos and on drugs» which is BULLSH** coming from the owner. So by the time I get there, lo and behold, the owner(looking like an oversized Bratz doll) is telling my friend«you’re a f — ing weirdo, I’m calling the cops». My friend was barely one shot into the night and she is one of the most humble people I know. She is LUCKY for talking me out of going back and tearing a new one into the staff. I like how business managers and staff like to be judgmental and straight up rude to patrons based on appearance or other dumb shit. That is NOT the way you treat patrons ATALL. NO. You DONT swear, scream at and humiliate people for no reason. I’m actually referring my friend to my family lawyer as well. If I were in her shoes I’d have that place shut down in a heartbeat. I’d tell every living soul I know not to go there. And the bar isnt even Southern! Southerners have hospitality! So if the staff is reading this, get your **** together NOW.

When Bulls first opened some years ago, I was not really into it. It definitely went after a crowd I was not associated. I had not been back there for over a year, but for whatever reason, I found myself there five different times in December/January, and I actually didn’t mind it. Bulls is a very small venue, which includes a mechanical bull ring that is larger than the bar area. There is a little inside and outside seating. This is mostly a stand up bar. The bull ride is fun and not too expensive. Guys are booted off very quickly, but women seem to ride a little slower, for a lot longer. The beer here is pretty basic. They did have Lagunitas IPA, but most of the brews were domestic. That isn’t a bad thing; just isn’t my thing. I never ate any food here, and honestly, I am not sure I would, for ambiance sake. The bartenders here are very nice. I have seen three: Two men, and one woman. Although I purchased a Unilocal!deal for this place, the value confused one of them when redeeming, but he apologized when I pointed out the error. After just a couple visits, he knew me by name and became very old schooled mannered. The music here is mostly country, but a couple times, I noticed a hip hop trend. The crowd is very eclectic. I would not go out of my way to drink here, but Bulls is definitely a good location for a pit stop between downtown club/bars.

DONOTBUYTHE Unilocal $ 10 for $ 20 deal!!! They will not deduct $ 20, they will give you only $ 10 discount, and claim that the discount is per person only. Gosh the waitress has an attitude! Food was good, hence one star

The bar tenders and jerry the security guy are the sweetest! Don’t try to make bulls something that it isn’t-if you’ve been to saddle ranch in LA then you know that bulls doesn’t really compare. Bulls is more of a low key dive bar with a mechanical bull. I’m all over the place with my review right now. Ok if you check in on Unilocal then I think you get a $ 1 kamakaZi shot(which I haven’t had since college so I refrain from cashing in on that sweet deal). I LOVE a good juke box and bulls definitely has that! I think there is line dancing on Friday nights with a live DJ too. If you want to go to a fun bar without pretension then bulls is your spot! Good fun, strong drinks and a super cute western themes atmosphere! Of course we will be back!

I’m giving Bulls Restaurant and Bar 3 stars because of the mechanical bull. Okay… I thought this was suppose to be a country bar? Why on earth were they playing top 40 music all night? I felt like if you go to a country bar, you should be able to listen to country music! I went to Bulls restaurant and bar because my girlfriend comes here to ride the mechanical bull. I can tell you this, she looks awesome riding and makes it look so easy. The bar itself was a lot smaller than it looks from the outside. The bartenders were pretty awesome. Of course tending to our every needs we were also fortunate enough to meet the bars owner Noah. I can’t comment on the food here but the drinks were expensive but good. If they didn’t have the mechanical bull, I would definitely pass on this bar.

Well, I have to say this was my second time and I was extremely disappointed. I came here with my family on my way to the Music Circus and boy what a mistake. It’s sad, because the first time I came here the wings were INCREDIBLE. They were among the best I’ve ever had. This time, it appears everything has changed. We ordered a sampler plate and EVERYTHINGWASTERRIBLE. The fries were soggy and flavorless and the wings were small and tough(not good!). It was so bad I just stopped eating. My dad ordered a sandwich and it was HORRIBLE. It was a complete failure, I felt like an idiot for recommending we stop by. Also, the outdoor furniture was broken down and strangely attracting flies. The place was dead, and for good reason… should’ve crossed the street and tried that new bar. Crying shame, I loved this place with its cheap beer and its great wings and its mechanical bull. Alas, life goes on.

One would assume all burgers are good, kinda like pizza. Even when it’s bad it’s still pretty good, right? No. Because here I believe I had one of the worse burgers of my life. It was expensive. Almost ten dollars. But I was starving and my friends wanted to drink so we stayed put and ordered food. First mistake, ordering food at a bar. It came with avocado, bacon, cheese, and a fried egg. Sounded pretty scrumptious. I ordered it medium rare and the waitress said ‘all of our burgers come medium.’ Mistake number two. If you can’t say how you want it cook it means it’s coming out pre cooked or frozen, not fresh. The burger came with seasoned fries as well. It came quick enough and when I went to cut it in half everything fell apart. The meat was the same equivalent of a sloppy joe kids get during summer camp. I still tried to eat it, but it was a greasy digusting mess of low grade meat and rubbery avocado. The cheese and bacon couldn’t even save this pitiful burger. On top of it the french fries tasted like straight msg and I ended up feeding most of them to a dog sitting on the patio. Sure, come to this tacky bar for drinks and beer but avoid food at all costs. EW!

The service here is terrible. My boyfriend had a friend in town from Texas so we took him here. Sadly, southern hospitality was the last thing we received. The bartender refused to serve my boyfriend because he said he had gotten too drunk before and done some inappropriate things to deface the bar. My boyfriend calmly explained that he had the wrong guy because he’s only been here twice as DD for his friends, and he was sorry anyone would disgrace a public place in such a way. The bartender(who was the OWNER) refused to listen and was EXTREMELY rude and unfriendly about the misunderstanding. I thought owners were supposed to be friendly and help resolve issues? Thought wrong! He was awful and made a huge scene about it. We even confirmed with friends the bartender’s suspicions were false… not to mention none of the bouncers recognized him, a tell tale sign of bad behavior. Also, I was embarrassed at how plain awful all the staff was acting. There were bouncers at the door just sitting there having their own conversation, and a drunk, smelly, homeless person on the patio heckling customers to buy him another beer… after he had already obviously been over served before 10pm. The bouncers were watching the whole time and did nothing. Why a drunk and belligerent homeless man received service without a question and four coherent, clean customers did not, is baffling. I would never wish anything bad to happen to this bar, but I certainly do not wish it well, and highly advise you to stay away.

Ugh. I thought Urban Cowboy went out with the 80’s. From the décor(A horrible version of Disneylands haunted mansion portraits, when does the lightning start and we see their skeletons?) to some of the worst bar food I’ve eaten(it rivals the Coyote Tap room across the street in the old Brew It Up space) You know your in for a troubled evening when the first thing the bartender says is «we’re out of about half the things needed to make the specialty drinks» You know your really in for it when he then says«we’re also revamping our menu so we don’t have this, this, this, this and this. Lastly, potato skins DONOT have tomatoes on them. Period. A mushy fried potato skin with a little cheese and tomatoes should be illegal. Where the hell was the bacon? Avoid this place like the plague…

I had been curious to check out Bulls… It seemed like a fine idea to open a cowboy themed bar in a «cow town» like Sac, and the chance to ride a mechanical bull seemed like a fine novelty for a bar to offer. But when I finally made my way over there, I wasn’t all that impressed. Sure, there is a bull(which takes up half the bar), but no one was riding it on the Saturday night that I was there. It didn’t even really seem like an option… there was one bartender, and he was staying busy enough to keep drink orders from arriving promptly. That’s fine though, because it didn’t look all that safe. If you got thrown off that thing, it seems like there’s a lot of rails and corners for you to smash into. I’m all for an adventure, but I pick my battles carefully. Looking to save some money, I decided to just order a Coors Light, but even that was $ 4.50. Ouch. I didn’t get a chance to look over their food menu, so I can’t speak about that, but I will point out that the music in the bar seemed to be juke box generated, which is to say that there wasn’t any playing for most of my evening there. I thought a country bar would at least be blasting country music! On the plus side, they do have a private parking lot, which is nice when you consider what the other options are. The garage across the street is pricey, and parking meters run until 10PM on that block, so be careful! Nothing ruins a night out like a $ 42 parking ticket, and they WILL get you!
