History
Established in 2009.
ArtBeast Studio opened in July 2009. It was founded by two mothers eager to create a space where children had unlimited time to create and express who they are.
In addition to providing children a place to explore the arts and follow their curiosity, ALL profits from ArtBeast are committed to Tubman House. Tubman House provides 18 months of housing and comprehensive support services to young, homeless parents and their children. Tubman House opened in 2003 and has served over 100 young mothers, fathers, and children as they grow as parents, attend college, clear debts, save money, secure jobs, and ultimately claim independence. The children attend an on-site child development program during the day as parents work toward their goals.

Business Owner
Bridget and Blithe are the co-founders and directors of Waking the Village, a nonprofit launched in 1999 with a bike trip across America to teach 17 youth in crisis the power of dreams and determination.
In 2003, based on the same combination of greeting youth’s big goals with intensive mentoring, Waking the Village opened Tubman House, a transitional living community serving homeless, pregnant or parenting youth and their children. At Tubman, residents govern their community, attend college, prepare for careers, and embrace healthy living so that they leave prepared to be leaders in their own lives, and leaders in the lives of their children and communities.
In 2009, ArtBeast was opened to provide children, including their own, a place to meet, play, and create often. Both Bridget and Blithe are former teachers, long time Sacramento residents, and moms.
