Classic Ben and Jerry’s delicious ice cream. Can’t much you can ask for besides a nice guy behind the counter. I had that too. Great place.

Meh, not many flavors available, very overpriced, and had just 1 person working. I was very disappointed since it’s kinda hard to mess up ice cream. Big name brand but it cannot back up it’s rave reviews. I’ll pick up a pint from the grocery store before I go here again.

How can you go to Vermont without going to Ben & Jerry’s? After skiing and snowboarding, treat yourself to good old B&J’s. We were staying in Rutland and decided to go for pizza and ice cream on a Friday evening. The ice cream shop is not huge; there was seating for about 8 – 10 people so we ate in the car. We ordered Chocolate Fudge brownie, Chocolate Peanut Butter ice cream, and a brownie to go. Yum and yum. The brownie was a bit stale. The young college boys served us quickly and with friendly service. Thank you. Heaven!

Rutland Vermont location of the Ben & Jerry’s scoop shop. The guy behind the counter was helpful and friendly. The ice cream was great, but the shop was quite small. It wasn’t crowded at the time and we could sit at a table without a problem.

They serve the best hot fudge anywhere! I could eat just a bowl of hot fudge but I did opt to inlcude a small bit of phish food ice cream with mine. The service was fast, the place could use a little sprucing up but otherwise the fudge, and ice cream, were just as yummy as any other Ben & Jerry’s that I have been too.

Mmm. Ice cream. While at first you think Ben & Jerrys would be a lame ice cream place since you can just buy it in the grocery store, but I disagree. First reason is that they have a ton of flavors that are exclusive to their stores and some of them were pretty interesting. I also learned that many of their ice cream flavors are now Fair Trade certified and they mark which ones are on the flavor board. The second reason is that unlike most other ice cream places they stay open year round which always makes my day. They also had a wide range of smoothies and other selections, but I stuck with the ice cream. The prices were decent and portions were fair.

I spent many nights of my youth eating ice cream here. Yum. Nice bookstore, Annie’s, connected to the scoop shop too.

You can’t visit Vermont without going to a Ben and Jerry’s scoop shop. It’s in the charter. This Rutland location was truly excellent. Big variety, homemade waffle cones, and a very friendly staff. One customer wanted a flavor that was not available, so they offered to mix a bunch of crap together to take a stab at it. The guy accepted the offer, and was pleased with the result. Ben and Jerry’s is a Vermont happy place. Good ice-cream, good service, «udder» heaven. This location shares a space with a book shop, so grab a book and pig out.
