Honig Vineyard & Winery is a family owned winery specializing in Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon. We’re off the beaten path in Rutherford, the heart of the Napa Valley. We believe in being «green», farming sustainably and, using solar energy to power the winery.
All of our tastings are seated table tastings. At Honig, along with tasting amazing wines, your wine tasting experience will be relaxed, friendly and fun. Be sure to call ahead to book your appointment.
History
Established in 1980.
Our family purchased our Rutherford vineyard in 1964 and grew grapes for other wineries for many years. In 1980 we produced our first vintage of Sauvignon Blanc and won a Gold Medal at the Orange County Fair Wine Competition. Michael Honig took over management of the winery in 1984 and runs the business with the help of his wife Stephanie, cousin Regina Weinstein and brother Steven. Winemaker Kristin Belair focuses production solely on Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon, and produces award winning wines using sustainable farming practices.
