They did a great job with some jewelry I had that needed repair, and it was done promptly and at a good price!

It’s a little strange to be buzzed in and walk through a metal detector, but I get it.
We went in a few months ago and the saleswoman walked us through everything for an engagement ring since this was my first stop. She encouraged me to try on everything even if I didn’t like it in the case just to eliminate things. I really appreciated that, because she wanted me to be happy with the end result rather than falling in love with one thing and not trying on a variety to be sure I didn’t like it on. She was very patient, explaining all of the different cuts and such. I probably tried on 30 rings just for the hell of it.
I fell in love with one at the end, once we were sure I like something simple. There was no sales pressure, Sergio offered us a good deal on the ring we liked. We decided to purchase a diamond through Brilliant Earth that was lab created for ethical and sustainability reasons, but we’ll be back soon to order the Veragio ring I fell in love with.

DO NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE, METALS IN TIME IS BEYOND COMPARE!!!
First of all, I don’t trust anyone but from the very minute I called metals in time and spoke with Aaron over the phone I felt immediate relief.
I recently got engaged in May and about a week ago I slipped and fell at work and bent all the prongs holding my center stone up so badly that the center stone fell out! Obviously I was extremely upset so my fiancé and I rushed to the original jewellery store we purchased it from, Birmingham Jewelers, only to be told by the employees there was no way to fix my ring without adding additional metal pieces to hold up the center stone and the side stones would be falling out of the ring constantly the rest of my life. Their only solution to me was to pay an extremely large amount of money and completely change the look of the ring with no guarantee on the stability of the structure itself, and would take at least 10 business days. So they strongly advised me, that if they «were the customer», to call the police from the parking lot of a store, make a false police report stating that I lost the ring and claim $ 11,000 through my home owners insurance, then give them the money and they would give me the same ring with a slightly larger center diamond. !!! WHATTTT!!!
I IMMEDIATELY LEFT!!!
I was so upset I started crying before we left the parking lot and truly believed that my only option was to pay for a ring to be fixed/​fabricated that I hate or commit fraud… This is where Metals In Time saved my faith in jewellers.
I called to get a second opinion over the phone since they’re a certified Verragio dealer also and Aaron put my mind at ease by informing me of what I knew in my heart, that in fact that is fraud and there is no possible reason he could think of that the ring was unrestorable IN STORE. That’s without him even seeing the damage.
So I rushed down to Royal Oak to see if there was any alternative solution. That’s when I met Sergio. He immediately said hello and began so reassure me that this was a very simple fix! He even went so far out of his way to help me that he took me into their vault to weigh my center stone in front of me and document the color and clarity of my center stone so that I could relax and did all of this in an absolutely professional and empathetic manor. All while beating the price of the repair by hundreds of dollars AND finishing the ring in literally 1 BUSINESS DAY!!!
I never thought in a million years I’d ever trust a jeweller again! Do not go anywhere else, you’ll regret it, TRUST ME.

We could not be happier with our purchases from Metals In Time! Everything came out beautifully and exactly how we wanted them. We had a custom infinity wedding band made with matching earrings and necklace and then had the pattern of the infinity band etched on the inside of my husbands wedding ring. The pieces are so well done and Sergio was great to work with. We highly recommend Metals In Time and working with Sergio and team and will defiantly go back for all our jewelry needs.

I have had a few custom pieces of jewelry made at Metals in Time and they are always beautiful and exactly what I wanted. They are definitely my go to jeweler.

I don’t even know what to say, my wife and I stopped in to buy a specific ring, we were «buzzed» into the building and upon entering, we were not even greeted. This were maybe two others in the store on the main floor, I watched as one customer was leaning on the counter looking very put out, there were three or four Sales Reps walking around talking to each other. We proceeded to walk thru the entire store. Upstairs we saw a sales guy working with a client and drinking coffee at the coffee bar up there, we again walked around unnoticed. We found the ring we wanted and were still ignored. We walked past the sales people who were not interested in greeting, acknowledging or offering to answer questions, this was truly troubling. We were there to BUY a RING. My wife was so put out that she walked to the counter and notified the guy standing there, that we walked the entire store without anyone offering to help us, we found what we were looking for but decided that since they were all too good to help us, that we were leaving to buy the ring someplace else. The guy behind the counter smirked and said «Have a Nice Day…» Terrible Customer Service. After reading the reviews, it doesnt sound like were are the only ones.

Treated very poorly, and I would never recommend this place. The staff made me wait 15 minutes, and the men talked down to me. I was so excited to be engaged, and left this store feeling let down and sad.

Thank you for making the best engagement ring ever!!! Nadia and Jack are a great help, and whenever I have an issue that needs to be addressed, The owner, Sergio, is quick to take care of it. even if I am crazy. My husband and I buy all of our jewelry at Metals in Time, and will continue to do so.
Reading the other reviews from a while ago on here I, I just can’t believe it’s the same place. I think some major overhauls in customer service have been made, or management restructuring has happened, because the customers of mine that I have sent there have all been really happy as well.
I have ordered custom jewelry and while not «cheap», I am not loaded, so I felt they priced themselves really aggressively. My husband is not a jewelry guy, so when we got married he found an 18kt Gold wedding ring at Tappers that he loved. for $ 6000.00, I was ready to take the hit. (I mean they spend so much on our rings right?). I love him, but whoa. Lol. We walked in one day on a whim, and I couldn’t have been happier. we showed them the pic of the ring, they made the same one, even wider, for $ 1300.00. In fact, even though their selection has always been varied and great, every piece we buy has always been custom with a few tweaks to personalize it, and has been made well and repaired quickly and most of the time free if the need arose!
I am SO glad we walked in that first day and didn’t stay away thinking we couldn’t afford it. Now we know we can’t afford to go anywhere else if we want good work :) Spend your money here. They make it worth it!

Service with an extreme attitude. We took in a watch to have the battery replaced and a piece of vintage jewelry that needed repair. The associate let me know clearly that these items were not to her standards. Although the work was completed quickly, the rudeness and condescension of the staff cannot make up for it. I want to support local businesses, but heartily suggest you give this one a pass.

I would love to tell you about our experience, however, nobody here could take the time to greet us. Guess my engagement ring will be purchased elsewhere.

I am very unhappy with the service of this place, and their policy.
I walk in and there are 3 sales associates standing around. No one offered to help me and I had to seek help myself. I felt like they were judging me and no one wanted to help me since they knew I wasn’t going to be making a big purchase.
I got a gift from here, it was still brand new, never worn watch and they would not do a return. I saw on the receipt they said they would exchange it, but they were not understanding at all and were not willing to do an exception. I understand that they are a small business, but they should be flexible for reasonable means for their customers. In order to compete with big box stores you need to offer their same level of service. I tried calling back to see if I could speak with the manager, and the girl who answered the call was extremely rude. She treated me like I was crazy for asking to speak to the manager and asked who I was, what my name is, and put me on hold forever.
I really wish I had a good experience here because I like supporting local businesses, but you’re much better off at Nordstrom. You can make returns and exchanges there and they have a way better selection.

I’ve been a customer for years, dating back to their prior location across the street. It’s a family-​owned business, and the customer service shows. My wife and I have purchased several pieces from them, but I want to talk about one in particular here — my wife’s engagement ring.
I didn’t even buy the diamond from them, but that didn’t stop them from giving me top notch service throughout the entire process. From helping me design the setting and meeting my aggressive timeline, then later pairing it with a wedding band and even recently during a repair (which was free!).
I can’t say enough good things about this place, and I never hesitate to recommend it.
Are the prices high? Maybe, but considering the quality and service I’ve received from Metals in Time vs what I’ve paid, I honestly feel like I’ve gotten the better end of the deal.

I am so unhappy with this place. It started out ok when I made my purchase but it was a special order. They called when it came in and we set up the items to be engraved. 2 «S» 1 «I». The lady told me they would be done by Monday or Tuesday by Thursday I had not heard back so decided to call and see if they were ready. The man I Spoke with on the phone was so quick and rude. He said very quickly yeah their ready came in a few days ago.
Ok so I got in my car an hour later to pick it up. It took them 15 minutes just to find my order, then tried to tell me my order would be $ 300 more then what was agreed upon because the sales associate quoted me wrong on the chains… then asked me why I didn’t know every little detail to my order. THEN the «I» looked so much like an S that the associate had to ask his manager if it was the correct letter. I watched them under their breath discuss it for a little bit too long for it to be correct and then both came over to me to assure me it was an «I»,
The whole experience left a bitter taste in my mouth. At the end the associate apologized for it all taking too long and that normally they have a day to process it and then they call the customer to let them know it’s ready… So I responded with then your manager over there shouldn’t have rushed me off the phone and made me feel like my good for nothing order had been taking up room on their shelves.
Will NEVER go back.
P.S they have no idea how much money they could have made off of me over future years if they would have taken the time to make me feel special with my current $ 300 order.

I have never been the «diamonds are a girl’s best friend» type. On my single teacher’s salary, I’d rather stock my jewelry box with unique flea market finds than pricey pieces. So when I found myself in a situation where a gift for a special person called for a special piece of jewelry, I was unsure where to even start.
A good friend of mine has had great experiences at Metals in Time. But even on his recommendation, I couldn’t help but feel a bit intimidated when they buzzed me inside and I caught glimpse of the endless shining, sparkling cases lining the store. The piece I had in mind was something that I knew they would likely have to special order. Sergio, the manager (owner?) gave me some catalogs to look though, and answered my questions patiently. Event though I know what I was spending was chump change compared to other customers they surely get, it was a large and important purchase to me, and Sergio and his staff treated it as such.
When my item came in, they called me right away. I had discussed the possibility of making a slight alteration to it, which they completed in only a day’s time. The final result was exactly what I had been looking for, and I will be very excited to gift it in the beautiful box they gave me to put it in.
Metals in Time is high class without the pretention. You will be treated like their most valued customer whether you are spending a few hundred, or a few thousand. Their items are gorgeous, and the staff knows their stuff. If I find myself in the market for fine jewelry again, I wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else!

If diamonds are a girl’s best friend then us guys REALLY need help in finding the perfect one for that one and only gal right? Metals In Time, from my experience, have a great selection of not only diamonds but jewelry in general — for women AND men.
They have a wide array of style from the traditional to the contemporary, classic to modern, lavish to understated. My favorite is definitely their selection of TENO men’s jewelry. Made from Germany, I love the way the designs are both masculine, minimal and definitely modern! I bought not one but two of their rings and a necklace with a plan on buying my fourth piece in a month or so.
Since I am also single, the only gal I buy jewelry for these days is my mom. I find a LOT of pieces here that she can definitely enjoy.
Great pieces and a knowledgeable and friendly staff make this a 5-​star jeweller to me.
