This is an awesome way to spend a girl’s night out. We had so much fun. If you are looking for some racy fun, this is so for you. By no means, is this for the faint of heart. I didn’t stop laughing the whole time. Just a helpful reminder, please show up on time or. .. you maybe the butt of many jokes. Bring extra cash with you because they do have appetizers, shakes, smoothies as well as coffee. One of the things that I enjoyed is their assortment of funny coffee mugs and other gag gifts. Overall, it was well worth the 20 bucks, but beware the shows sell out quickly.

I went with some friends for Drag Queen Bingo. The bingo was a lot of fun! Sabin (our host) was really funny. The café itself has food for Drag Queen Bingo which I did not get to try, but the Strawberry Smoothie was really good. The café also sells a lot of funny, sexual innuendo items.

My brother was bugging me for a long time to try Drag Queen Bingo so I said, why not?
My brother, John, and his wife, Donna, my husband, Jim, and me went to Drag Queen Bingo for my birthday for the Sunday brunch on May 1, 2016. We had great seats right near the stage. I loved the brunch because they had so many things to choose from: hot snacks, cheeses, potato salad, mini blueberry muffin, cut up melons, etc.
Sabin was our host and he was a real hoot! He had fun with my husband, brother, and me. He was so funny! Keep up the good work!

Had a great time! The queen, atmosphere and coffee/​smoothie bar was fantastic! I plan on going back again and again for a fun girls night out.

Went for a friends birthday and did not really know what to expect. We had a great time, it was a comedy show combined with bingo… an event nothing like I have ever been to. Be prepared for tons of sarcasm and ridiculousness! I would suggest you arrive early to look at all of the gag gifts in the store and to access your seat easily. An FYI, It gets very crammed and crowded, and there are only 2 toilets but the show was only two hours so it was not an issue for my group. I will definitely go back sometime! A great laugh and something different to try.

Before I start my review, let me just say that my group of 4 girls got Groupons to come to drag queen bingo here. I had never been to it before but figured why not? Should be fun. The hot chocolate was delicious. Surprisingly so! Bingo was strange. I thought it was a lot more vulgar and cringe-​worthy than I was expecting. My group was some of the youngest people in the establishment and I felt horrible for the people who got a Bingo and went up there and got humiliated. I think I could deal with the crude jokes and what not, but if I was one of the people as the butt of the joke, I don’t think I would be too happy. I was thankful not to have a Bingo and I’m glad to have been here, done this. I don’t think I will be going back. Also, the gifts that you win, after being roasted were AWFUL! An old crumpled up cookie and mug/​shirt with some garbage on it. I consider myself to be a fun/​light hearted person but I was expecting much more from this place.

Came here with a group of friends. It was all of our first time coming and we were not disappointed! We all had so much fun! Sabin was amazing and funny! I was crying from laughing so hard! I am going to go again asap!

Drag Queen Bingo is a must see for anybody you will seriously laugh the entire time! Sabin was amazing! One of the funniest shows I’ve been to!

This was the funnest and funniest event I have ever attended. Sabin was a hoot. I thought her jibes were funny and not unkind. She is edgy and foul mouthed, so don’t go it you are thin-​skinned or don’t want to hear F-​bombs. This was well worth the price of admission. I had a Mocha that is comparably priced to any national coffee chain café. I will go back again and again.

I treated my sister-in-law’s to a «girl’s night out» and purchased a Groupon (2 for $ 25) for us to attend this event. We had a ball! This was all of our first time and as Addison Taylor stated, we were «Drag Queen Bingo virgins» and she was going to be our «first».
Addison Taylor was not a disappointment. She was entertaining, engaging and hilarious! Her back stories and quick to response cracks were timely and laugh out loud funny. Yes, there were quite a few instances where I had an «omgosh, did she really just say that moment» and they were awesome! What would have made our night even more enjoyable would be if we could have had a nice cocktail or a glass of wine with our game that would have been icing on the cake.
The establishment was «ok». The Bathroom facilities could possibly receive a makeover and the seating arraignments were a bit «crunchy». However other than that, the place was nice.
The novelties and retail items included; wine purses, quotable mugs, quotable napkins, wine accessories, coasters, etc. As it relates to their menu, we order; chicken nachos and mac and cheese bites. The nacho order was enough to feed all four of us while the mac and cheese bites were «to die for». We also order Smoothies; Mango Mania, Strawberry Banana, and Chia Berry… Awesome!
Overall we enjoyed every bit of our night! We had a ball! We laughed, ate, and took pictures. We can’t wait until our next outing!

I’ll «come out» and say it. Drag Queen Bingo is hilarious. Our drag queen was HILARIOUS. S/​he was so quick-​witted, HILARIOUS, and really fun. I laughed so hard I was choking several times throughout the experience.
Despite my best efforts, she singled me out and made my face turn redder than a lobster. It probably had something to do with the fact that I was one of THREE men in the building who didn’t work there at the time.
I highly recommend you go do this. I understand it probably varies depending on who the hostess is for the night, but ours was HILARIOUS.

Had a blast here! They keep you laughing and entertained to the point that you often forget you are playing Bingo! I definitely want to go again!

If I could give it 0 stars I would. My friends and I looked forward to this for a couple of months. We left at intermission. My friend had been there before and had a great time with a cute, fun, slightly insulting drag queen leading things. Last evening it was the nastiest, cruelest host imaginable. None of us wanted to play because none of us wanted to have to go up and talk with her. It wasn’t funny. The drag queen used the same tired «bitch» and «cock» over and over and over. I felt like I was in a junior high school locker room. Good-​natured heckling would be fun. Cruel comments about peoples’ handicaps, ethnic generalities and nasty ugly comments about peoples’ looks and gender identity are not fun. In the name of «fun» this person let loose with some ugly vitriol that obviously is filling his soul. Sad… but we just wanted to leave and did. $ 20 wasted. Find out who the hostess is before you go. I don’t know the name of this person, but it was Friday evening at 7:00 pm, April 17. None of us will ever go back and will steer all our friends from ever going.

Girls brunch out for a birthday. Great fun foul language comedy show. The brunch was nothing to write home about — muffins, cheese slices, potato and macaroni salads, turkey rollups, sausage on a stick, coffee and tea. The show was entertaining and the prizes in keeping with the foulness of the whole event. You really have to be in the right mood and enjoy hearing the F word, oh a thousand times or so.

This was so much fun! What a great Thursday night. We laughed so much! The staff is wonderful. Didn’t know what to expect, they didn’t disappoint! It was a riot. Can’t wait to go back.

I’m not sure how to review this. This review is not about the establishment itself – which was crowded for Drag Queen Bingo. Instead, this review focuses on a particular show I saw on Thursday, January 8^th.
I actually left this show feeling… well… sad. That is not what I expected at all. I have seen drag shows before, and from what I’d heard about Lauren, I expected her show to be raunchy, tasteless, offensive, and witty. In that respect, she did not disappoint. She had a couple of funny stories about having been arrested the previous day by the Ferndale police, she made horribly raunchy jokes and threw criticisms around to various audience members like confetti. She looked fabulous in her black dress with red flames.
However, the dark, brooding cloud that seemed to follow her filled the room with the strangest atmosphere I’ve experienced. The tone of her delivery was marked with such a deep depression and anger that I couldn’t quite get past it. I felt as if she was on the verge of suicide, like we were on the shore watching a drowning transvestite. It was surreal.
It was not what I expected. I think some people were oblivious to this aura of despair. They would look around for reassurance as if to say, «This is funny, right?» But I could see other faces in the crowd that shared my concern. The «jokes» in this show were beyond abusive, and Lauren seemed to have to force herself to be there – as if every word she spoke took enormous effort.
This show opened my eyes to the sort of hell that transgender folks must face every second of the day. I’m still trying to wrap my head around what was going on. I’m sure other folks had a great time, but I can’t say I’ll be going back with the expectation of laughing.

Got a Groupon for Sunday morning Brunch Bingo and thought it would be a fun time. I guess we should have specifically asked for chairs to sit on when we made the reservation.
To be fair to ourselves, everyone else had chairs but we had the table in the corner that was the only one that didn’t even have one chair… just planks of wood attached to the wall against the windows.
We are plus sized people and my husband is 6 feet tall — so sitting on a plank of wood that felt hot glued to the wall 10 inches off the ground was uncomfortable and a little scary — since we knew we were going to a show where the audience is fair game and your «seat» giving way underneath you could provide even the most inept of comic material for a whole show. And sitting with your knees up in your chest makes it a little uncomfortable.
Since we checked in within 5 minutes of the doors opening, we tried to express our concerns to the man with the clipboard who seemed to be in charge of seating but we were waved away with a flick of the wrist and he literally turned his back to us as he checked in another couple. We were left with our jaws dropped looking at each other like «THIS is what everyone has been raving about».
We looked around and saw other people getting comfy in their «real» chairs — some even had cushions on them — and decided to leave before things managed to get worse. We can take a hint from the Universe — we were not meant to attend this event.
Can’t comment on the show as we didn’t see any of it — but would not recommend this to anyone who wants to sit on real chairs or be treated like a human being when requesting to be allowed to sit in real chairs.

Hilarious fun. Just an overall unique and fun environment

I am sad to say it was not the best time ever. Our drag queen was wonderful, but the rest of the staff was less than friendly. One thing that really upset me was the ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ raffle. We bought tickets, and a few minutes later I saw my tickets that were for the raffle jar laying on the table next to us. I told one of the staff members and instead of apologizing he rolled his eyes at me and put them on the back counter. I thought that was rather rude.
$ 20 does get you a BINGO card, but if someone just wins then you have to go for a double BINGO. However, that person can easily win again within a few seconds. This happened twice that night. I thought that was kind of BS. One guy walked out with 4 prizes and he was less than thrilled about winning.
Everything was pretty overpriced on the menu. It wasn’t bad food, but it wasn’t worth what it is priced. $ 9 for Mac N’ Cheese bites…

All I have to say is DRAG QUEEN BINGO! I’ve done it 3 times and it’s so much fun. Some of them will pick on you, some of them will flatter you, and some of them are just down right hilarious to listen to regardless. When you win, you get a mug and t-​shirt with a funny/​dirty saying on it. This place is perfect for bachelorette or birthday parties. It lasts about 2 hours, with a 15 minute break in between. We ran to Fifth and got a few drinks before heading back over. Our table was called the «Kardashian table» because most of us have long dark hair and are Middle Eastern. I recommend going at least once for laughs, it’s definitely a good time!

Drag Queen Bingo??? A group of us took my aunt there to celebrate her 80^th birthday. I went in having no idea what to expect… two hours later I found myself standing out on Washington, still laughing, thinking what the hell just happened??? It was fabulous!
Our hostess was Sabin, who bills herself as the angry drag queen. She did not disappoint! She was quite angry.
Do not attend if you are thin skinned, have no sense of humor, are easily offended, etc. This is Raunchy! Nothing is off limits. You’ll hear the C word, the D word, the F word. and all the other words. Lots of words!
Sabin, thank you for making it a great night out for Marge! She loved you!

Trixie Deluxe, need I say more! We had a party of 5 for Drag Queen Bingo to celebrate my daughter’s 19^th birthday. We all had a blast and laughed the entire time! I’d recommend this to anyone over 18, looking for a unique and fun night out.

I definitely wished that I was hammered before I came here — like the three bachelorette parties that were in attendance (one of whom was late and delayed the start of the show significantly). I had a buzz going in, but the environs caused me to lose that rather quickly. I can see the draw for bachelorette parties — they have a place to sober up a bit and not get hit on by d-​bag Black Finn afficianados (disclaimer: I like that place, but not on weekend nights).
For people whose only experience with gay people is watching Neil Patrick Harris in How I Met Your Mother, get loaded up and you may find this amusing. The rest of us will find this crass. One of my friends (who happens to be gay) once said, «you can be tactless and not funny, but not both.» I wish that was a company policy here. I think gender and race jokes can be fair game with the proper delivery. Denigrating name calling in the same vein is not.
Let me save you some trouble and run our lovely host’s only joke (which had dozens of permutations) by you.
Drag Queen: Where are you from?

DQ: [some Detroit suburb]? No wonder you are such a [c-​bomb].
This is not just raunchy or not PC — this is downright offensive. I am not really convinced the host is an actual drag queen — probably just a dude that shaved his pits to make a buck. I can see some of the staff being gay, and I am stunned that they can accept this. This seems like a complete mockery of the LGBT community, while also being completely derogatory for women.
Two dudes ambled in after the «show» started. When the insults went from sexist to somewhat racist (less than a minute after the guys walked), they stormed out. At this point, I was terrified that the host would turn on me and I sulked in my chair as out of sight as I could. Thankfully, there was an intermission. This is the conversation my girlfriend and I had at this juncture.
GF: Make a run for it!
Me: What?
GF: Go! Go! Go! Let’s get out of here!
and we bolted out the door.
I will not be coming back unless someone roofies my drink beforehand and drags me in here. You guys can keep the $ 40 we spent on our two bingo cards. Thank you for killing my night.

It’s a fun raunchy evening of entertainment on the cheap. They serve light food and coffee drinks, as well as kitchy gifts.
The highlight, of course, is the bingo. But it is so much more than Bingo. The Drag Queen was divine — funny, raunchy, and quick-​witted. You can BYOB (discretely), enjoy the humor and have a great time with your friends. For about $ 20.

Royal Oak doesn’t have a better entertainment deal than drag queen bingo at Five15. Completely unscripted, laden with innuendo and as much fun as you want it to be, this is a wild night out that pushes at family fun. With a lovely drag queen in the house, and facing the street from her checkered daïs, fun is guaranteed.
An hour and a half to two hours of bingo begins in the best bingo hall of all: a giftshop/​bookstore friendly to the LGBT community, filled with some of the sauciest memorabilia about. On occasion I’ve seen a coffeetable book on the history of beauty queens, an amazing German four-​volume set on the maturation of lad mags like Playboy, to die for wineholders shaped like immaculate shoes that would make a supermodel stare, and witty magnets, bumperstickers, and postcards. «I won’t believe corporations are people until Texas executes one» sold out while we were there, mwahahaha.
Now, add atop that a solid coffee bar that whips up tea lattes, espresso drinks, foamy frothy goodness, black coffee, Italian sodas, and pastry nibbles, and the night is set for some fun. The beau and I usually share a hot drink of some kind because you need the refreshment to quench your throat and aching sides after laughing so hard.
The staff know their clientele and play up the flamboyant, raunchy, playful atmosphere to the hilt. Birthdays, bachelorettes, anniversaries, divorce celebrations and the like really make the fun factor hit magnitude 10, and the drag queens never hesitate to single out handsome men, trashy brides, or birthday boys and girls for their rightful due. It’s all in good fun: the rules of improv comedy do apply here. It’s a safe environment for teasing, and they have a sixth sense for knowing who to pick out of a crowd for friendly, naughty ribbing. Usually it’s an older gentleman who looks straight laced and ends up grinning, laughing while his wife/​sister/​daughter and the rest of the table cackle with glee. Inhibitions are checked at the door.
Four rounds of bingo offer you the opportunity to net your fifteen minutes of fortune, fame, and being heckled as «you dirty b|tch!» by winning a line or two on your bingo card. T-​shirts and coffee cups are handed out, emblazoned with statements like «The Real Housewives of Wayne County» and many too naughty to be published here without smacking into a filter. It’s great fun, especially when the queens go out of their way to try and pair winners up with something licentious and appropriate. I haven’t won yet, though I was one off for the free-​for-​all last round which usually involves a cash prize, a gift certificate to the store, and/​or a selection of donated prizes. My first visit, a well-​known tattoo artist was offering up a tattoo.
Five15 is also about social causes and positive activism, and they do 50 – 50 raffle fundraisers for great charities ranging from literacy in Oakland County to helping homeless teens in Detroit, especially at-​risk LGBT teens. Even if you don’t particularly have a political or social stance, you can throw in the price of a latte to help those less fortunate than you and the average night can net $ 250 – 300 per show, of which there are two.
I’ve had the pleasure of seeing September Murphy and Joan Rivers in action. Joan is the spitting image of the real Joan, every bit as saucy, snarky, and witty, and probably just as hot without the extra plastic surgery involved. If they could get Eddie Izzard or RuPaul, my life would be complete. Guest hosts from around the Midwest can generate a lot of interest, so *always* reserve your seat ahead of time as early as possible.
As noted by Nikki, there’s only one unisex bathroom. Lineups get very excessive during intermission between rounds 2 and 3. If Pronto’s open you might be able to duck in to use their facilities, or run down to Baskin-​Robbins, but don’t count on it. They are talking about expanding the facilities due to the immense interest and success generated by Drag Queen Bingo. Right on them!

As explained, for $ 20, you get 4 rounds of fun bingo. Be prepared to laugh, joke and have fun. It’s interactive and bring your sense of humor!
Five15 is a coffeehouse/​giftshop. You can order coffee bistro beverages, as well as muffins & pastries. You can also order from their «bingo menu», which as items such as french fries, cheese sticks, etc.
There’s only 1 bathroom, so be prepared to either wait in line or hold it until you get home.

DO make a reservation in advance. Do NOT park at the meters outside the door. They are only good for 1 hour. Park in the metered lot (2 hrs) around the corner and bring plenty of change for the meter.

There’s not too much more to say that hasn’t already been said. It was a great time, so just make your reservation and GO! :-)

If you’re a boy who likes boys (or have a boy who likes boys in your life) then Five15 is a great place to hit. They’ve got a great selection of stuff from sexy underoos to greeting cards and books created specifically for a gay audience. I lived in Chicago for a bit and spent part of that time living in Boystown so shops like this were pretty commonplace. Unfortunately, not many shops around the Detroit area carry such a wide array of items geared specifically towards gay men so Five15 is a real breath of fresh air.
Of course, if you’re not a boy who likes boys (or have a boy who likes boys in your life) or if you’re a boy who likes boys looking for a gift for a non-​boy who likes boys (this is becoming a bad cover of a great Blur song) then you can find something here as well. Lots of fun gifty type things for all folks available here too. Mugs, décor pieces, etc. They have a decent selection of items here to choose from.
AND – coffee. My drug of choice. Five15 is also part coffee shop. Filled with a few tables for casual seating/​chatting and warm beverages/​snacks to fill you up while you do it. I just popped in briefly and was full from lunch so I didn’t partake in any beverages but I couldn’t pass up on the beautiful looking pink pavlova which I took home and snacked on when I was less ouchie from crêpe overload down the street.
This is a shop that I’m really happy to see in the Metro Detroit area. And more than anything I am SUPER geeked to get here for Drag Queen Bingo ASAP!
