It’s inside the Tea Bar in Yes Plaza so I don’t want you to circle the parking lot a few times like I did. Anyways, I absolutely loved the treatment I got here. Angie took her time and kept making sure I was ok or needed anything. Even though I don’t understand the Chinese Drama that was playing on the TV, I understood what was happening and enjoyed watching it… I didn’t even notice I was there for 2 hrs. Everyone was so friendly and greet you when you come in and leave. The prices are reasonable for gel manicure is 30 plus 5 to take off. I added decorations and turned out perfect. I highly recommend this place.

Was looking around for a good place, thought this place would be good based on the great reviews, and I liked that they were open later than most places. I was greeted by the workers and offered something to drink. They didn’t speak much English and the woman working on me needed a translator when I was trying to explain I wasn’t liking my nails so far. I was a bit disappointed with my pedicure. It was very short, didn’t allow for feet to soak long enough, no type of foot scrub and pour job removing callous, which is the reason I wanted a pedicure to begin with. Maybe I’m overly critical, but the lines of my French were not crisp and clean. Since it didn’t meet my standards of a proper French, I had to redo it myself when I got home. However, I was charged $ 5 less than what she had said the price was over the phone. The job was mediocre and I will continue looking for a better place…

Qian’s attention to detail and perfectionism is on-​point. The techniques used are not what I’m used to however my nails look great and I love them.
The ladies were all so hospitable BUT there was a Chinese game show on the whole time and it was putting me to sleep!
Would have loved some music to listen to.
I’d be back.

Came here for the first time a couple weeks ago. Absolutely loved it. They were very respectful to my mother and called her 阿姨 the whole time. Very much appreciated that. Courteous group of woman working here. Annie did such a great job on my nails! I got the shattered glass design. They give you complimentary snacks and tea. Such a wide range of gel colors to choose from. All their products they use are from Japan. So the quality is pretty top notch! If you come, make sure you get an appointment with Annie! She’s so precise and careful. Everything was evenly applied on. No mistakes on painting near the cuticles at all. I’m super super picky about my nails and I can whole heartedly say that it came out to my standards. Will be calling this place my new go to salon! Def come try this place out! You won’t regret it!

I took my cousin to do her nails here and she loved it! The service is extremely great here and the staffs are so nice. Shirley was really polite and did my cousin’s nails exactly the way she wanted them. The results were also amazing! (: I definitely recommend this place!

I have been coming here since its grand opening. All the staffs here are very friendly and professional. Cassie is the best to me, she takes care of my nails so well and does a very fantastic job. Bring your favourite design to them and they will do a very similar one for you. Make a reservation ahead to avoid the wait.

Hello everyone! So exciting to write my 2^nd review on Unilocal.I write this review because my wife doesn’t have Unilocal account. First of all, this place is nice and clean. You won’t smell the strong toxic alcohol inside. The place is hiding in the corner of YES plaza, if you’re not familiar with this area, it’s hard to find. She walked in with no appointment and they introduced one of the nail artist Cassie. She speaks Chinese and always smile. My wife does’t have any requirements, so Cassie designed for her. It took her 2 hours to finish the nail styling. She was very patient during the design and very careful with my wife’s nail. Somehow I can’t upload the photo for her final look. Overall, it’s a great place to come. (a little bit pricey: () Please ask Cassie for the nail design, she is supper good with it. :)

What a nail shop! It’s owned by a Chinese lady. I had my own experience here:
Pro: the environment was not bad, at least you don’t smell the strong toxic alcohol inside, you know when you walked in to those nail shop the strong smell of that chemical. They had a TV inside playing Chinese drama. The people there not considered nice, maybe when you are a royal customer, and you are willing to pay over 100 pet set, they might treat you like a queen. They have a lot of different design, and the style are very blink too. 3 stars for that
Con: it’s not easy to find this place, it’s in the YES plaza, but it’s hidden inside another building. After seated, I was choosing the style for the gel nail, the girl who polished my finger with the filer was not gental at all. I can stand for a lot of pain, but when the filer move back and forth heaving around my nail bed, it was pain in hell. I hope they know that fingers has the most nerves there, and they are very sensitive. They didn’t soak my finger into water, and just used the filer right into my finger, and said my fingers were dry, that’s why it hurts. But I’m paying to have my service done. Why don’t you think a practical method to solve or improve your service. My fingers are stilling inflamed now. Their price was very high, a set of gel nail starts at 30. Plus the other simple design, you have to pay a lot more without they telling you before you approve for the service.
Overall, it only worth –1 on my own experience.
BTW, you have to speak Chinese so they can understand what you mean :(

I absolutely enjoyed my time here!!! This was my experience here for my first time. The whole staff was very professional! They closed at 9 and still took me in at 8pm since I was in desperate need to get them done that night since the next day wouldn’t work for me. They offered me hot tea and gave me sweet treats! The girl taking care of the register was very attentive even though she wasn’t even doing my nails. This place by far, did the BEST job on my hands and feet (and I’ve been to a lot of nail salons). They asked me after each step to look at my nails to make sure I liked them. I didn’t like them, I LOVED THEM! I thought that was very important that they made sure I was happy with every detail. They did not ONCE try to up sell me anything. I felt I was very well taken care of! I got gel nails with pink glitter and stones on my ring finger. Thank you Cassie for my manicure and Angie for my pedicure. (Please remember to take care of your nail artist! They are amazingly talented ladies!)

Very attentive and nice work, they spent two hours on the mani. Price is a little bit high but overall good experience! Recommend for someone who is looking for high quality nail. Staff said all materials were import from Japan which is more gentle for nail.

DO NOT COME TO THIS STORE! THE WORST MANICURE EVER IN MY LIFE! I have been doing manicure for several years and this is the first time I see my fingers are bleeding because the lady who did my nail didn’t know what she was doing! It’s really hurt when she cut my skin (WORST THAN SEEING YOUR DENTIST TRUST ME!!). Even I was telling her how painful it was and she still acted like no big deal! She just put some weird drop on my wound and walked away to talk to other customer when I was still bleeding! THIS IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO COME TO THIS STORE AND GET HURT!

First time here. I originally was going to give this place a ⁴⁄₅ but was bumped up to ⁵⁄₅ after the price.
The nail artist I had was super attentive to my cuticles to the point where they started getting a little bit raw and sore. There was a bit of a language barrier but there were girls present who could translate so we managed to get what we needed. They provide refreshments and snacks which is great if you’re there getting a bit done.
I typically go to Cync in Torrance but decided to try this place after work. The quality, service and price will definitely have me coming back. I made sure to tip as best as I could as I know my request/​design was a bit of a pain in the butt.

First off, this place is pricey. $ 53 pedi and $ 37 mani= $ 90.
Total paid? $ 100! including $ 10 tip ($ 5 each girl)
The breakdown:
Gel pedicure– I got a gel pedicure with glitter on my big toes. The glitter is placed one by one. I chose two different colors of glitter. Each color is $ 3 per toe. So here’s the math: $ 3 bronze glitter + $ 3 silver glitter =$ 6 per toe. Total? $ 12 for glittery a** big toes (which are awesome and pretty though) I’m assuming the difference is the cost of the gel pedicure ($ 53-​$ 12=$ 41 for the gel pedi).
Gel manicure– I usually get gel on my hands and regular polish on my toes, this time I did gel for both hands and feet and I don’t regret it a bit!
I had two tiny golden narrow triangle studs placed on the base of each my middle fingers. $ 1 for each stud.
Gel mani was $ 30 (special offer, regular price $ 40)
Studs $ 1 each piece= $ 2 total
Previous gel removed $ 5 (one time fee because it was done elsewhere)
Total= $ 30 +$ 2 + $ 5= $ 37 gel manicure w/​studs.
I walked in on Halloween hoping to be seen and luckily they took me as a walk in and advised me to call in advance next time. She handed me business cards with info.
The girls here speak mandarin Chinese with OK English (enough to translate to other non English speaking manicurists)
My experience was wonderful. I think I was in an advantage because I could speak Chinese a bit.
They use portable vibrating plastic bucket thingys for the pedicure. She gave me a complimentary (usually $ 10) leg scrub that smells like mint and feels cool on application. They do the usual, minor callus scrub, trimming of cuticles, and short massage too.
The manicurist was very detailed and took her time… lots of time… I think I was there for a total of 3 hrs.
The girls offered me coffee, tea and water. It was served in a cute cup with a lid cover and straw! I opted for water. Also the sweet girl who worked on my pedi offered me chocolates (Ferrero Roche and Japanese white chocolate lemon flavored kit kats) I’m not sure if this candy was for Halloween or if it’s just normal courtesy. They also had ring pops and other asian candies! They’re so nice!
Overall, my experience was exceptional. I wouldn’t be able to come in every two weeks. But the girl suggested not coming in too often and that the gel would last a very long time and suggested to let it grow out until next time (in her defense the chemicals used aren’t the healthiest for nails in general) They’re honest here and very careful and hospitable.
I will be back in December!

I saw a new nail place had opened up by me and it’s kind of annoying always going to San Gabriel to do my nails so I gave it a shot. The place was clean and quiet — looks clean. All that is great but the girl who did so my nails didn’t seem very great.
I was very disappointed. I got gel nails all one colour it took about 2 hours to do. Usually I get very detailed designs and those take an hour and a half so that was way longer than I expected to sit there. They also charge a fee of $ 5 to take off the previous gel but only if it’s your first time there? I don’t get it. I bet the other workers are more experienced but I just didn’t have a good time there. They know how to give a manicure but they just don’t know how to apply the gel.
My nails aren’t very shiny either. They are more matte for some reason. I like the shiny gel :(

I live in west LA but I do my nails once a month here coz I only want Amy do my nails! She is talented and super fun & friendly. Always have a good time do my nails here. Highly recommend Shan Nail!
