Oh man, where do I start? This place is a hole-in-the-wall hidden gem. This is where all the OG Taiwanese people go. They serve the most authentic and delicious taiwanese noodles I’ve had in forever. I’ve been coming here for nearly 10 years. They used to have one in San Gabriel but it closed down years ago. I’ve been coming here for their dry noodles for so long. 傻瓜面 is my absolutely favorite. It’s a very simple dry noodle with the yummiest sauce you can imagine. I don’t know how to explain it but it’s just plain noodles. When I brought my boyfriend here, I told him to get the 傻瓜面, but he didn’t believe me. He got the 牛肉面, which was also very yummy but he liked mine way more. We got the 小笼包 which was ok. The skin was a little thick but the flavor was delicious. I liked the green onion pancake a lot. It wasn’t the best I’ve ever had but still delicious. Really, my five stars is for my 傻瓜面. Nothing beats those noodles. NOTHING. It is a must try!

Like a battalion making its last stand, Q Noodle stands as a relic to the Rowland heights of old. Serving traditional Taiwanese fare, mom and pop places like these have slowly been phased out of the area. As new restaurants come in, Q Noodle holds a place in our family’s heart. Come here for their noodles, cooked to perfection. For 50 cents more you can increase the amount of noodles in your bowl. At 3.95 + 50 cents for some Dan Dan noodles, the price is well worth what you get. The star of the show for me is the fried tofu, one of the many appetizers that I grew up loving. It’s definitely a must try simply because, from a textural standpoint, I’ve never had fried tofu the way they do it at any other establisment. This place is small and simple, and on the far corner of the plaza. This place is rarely completely busy, and the servers take care of you well. I’m a follower of the Bourdain rule, take someone here on the first date. If they don’t like the food, that’s that.

Being sick is never a fun thing but going to a new place that sells bomb noodle soup makes it a whole better! This is literally in a busy plaza with many other popular spots in Rowland Heights. Next to it has a massage place and around the same area there is a Kee Wah bakery where you can buy some bread or mooncakes. Also a Ten Ren if you want to grab some drinks afterwards. Back to Q noodle it’s a small store but came here with three of my friends and we all ordered some small sides and each of us had different noodles. I ordered a vegetarian one with just veggies inside due to the fact that I didn’t want to start to eat anything heavy like meaty options. But my friends did enjoy the noodles with meat. We ordered and then it quickly got to our table in no time and we finished our bowl of noodles quickly like we were starving but that’s ok I’m guessing it’s just because it was that good. Yeah so if your ever in this very Asian area I would say come by at this very old school spot to have a good time and eat some noodle soup. Yep!
