Went for an early dinner, it was happy hour, beer was buy one get the second one half off, very good deal. Menu is extensive, Chinese /Taiwanese and a little Shanghai dishes too. We tried egg drop fish soup, steamed whole tilapia, shrimps with silk melon, eggs & tomato and Shanghai sweet baby back ribs. Everything was SO delicious! I especially loved the tilapia and shrimps, so fresh and tender. Hubby loved the baby back ribs, tender and flavorful. We were really surprised at how tasty the food was! Service was OK, typical Chinese restaurants standard, not too bad or too good. We wouldn’t mind coming back to try more delicious dishes from time to time.

Summary: Spacious new bar/restaurant with large TV’s. Could be good for group hangouts. Bad for food. I’ve only been here once, but I would not like to come back for the food. The lamb dish I got was super greasy and did not taste good. The menu has too many things. I usually dislike any restaurant that has too many things, because they are never good at any of them. Interior: Very spacious and new with large tv’s and large table areas. I wouldn’t come for the food, but this would probably make a good sports bar to hang out with a large group of friends. My 2 star rating was based on the food because I came to eat dinner thinking it was a restaurant. But if I had came to hang out, drink beer, and watch TV and had the expectation of bar-level food, I probably would’ve given it a better rating.

Total verdict: meh. This is an alright-ish place to me. Went here for lunch and ordered about 10 different dishes. Food: Very underwhelming and slightly overpriced for the portions given. The one thing that put me off the most of all the dishes was the amount of oil used. Everything I ate was coated in a huge layer of oil. My lips sure got moisturized from all that oil. Nothing I tried was memorable or worth mentioning here. Because of all the oil on the food, everything practically tasted the same. Service: slower than sloths. So slow and edging into the side of rude. Came in to the place being about ¼ occupied and the server who came to greet us was quite hesitant on seating us. Then she put us in a table telling us that it was“meant for 8 – 10 people” and acted as if she did my party of 6 a huge favor. UM for the amount of food we ate and ordered we needed that table size. Also food took FOREVER to come out. Décor: pretty. It’s pretty on the inside. Nice big walls for giant projection screens. Bet this place is where I want to watch a big game. So moral of my review: this place is meh. I may or may not return. But I’m definitely in no rush to bring people here to eat.

We ate dinner here with a bunch of people in our own private room. The restaurant was in a small plaza with a small parking lot and garage and we didn’t have any issues finding parking. The interior of the restaurant was big with a couple of flat screen TVs as well as booths. The private room was on the side of the restaurant. I had no idea what we ordered except what I wanted on the menu which was the Szechuan Style Beef($ 13.95). The food came out slowly but later picked up speed. Everything that I tasted was good including the Szechuan Style Beef. It was spicy enough that I needed to drink some Sapporo beer or water. The Sapporo was served in a pitcher instead of a bottle which was good. The service was good and we were checked on every now and then. Overall, I thought this restaurant had good food and would recommend checking it out.

I always have to give 5 stars to a restaurant if it is the best dish that I have ever had. Good Eats consistently makes the most delicious traditional Shanghai Rice Cake entrée. The savory sauce is thick with perfectly balanced amounts of meat, cabbage, and rice cakes. The best part is that the sauce thoroughly soaks into the rice cake(so that you are not eating sauce on top of bland rice cakes like other Chinese restaurants often make). If you love Sautéed Shanghai Rice Cakes, you have got to try this dish here.

A hidden gem! One of the best and more authentic Chinese foods I’ve enjoyed in a long time. This is a family owned restaurant where the chef/owner takes pride in the quality of his food. Every dish was perfectly seasoned and unlike anything I’ve ever had. Starting clockwise: braised pork belly in soy sauce; three cups three items(chicken, whole squid, intestines) slice ginger, whole garlic and Thai basil; pickled cabbage soup with pork, & clear noodles; four treasure stir-fry: string beans, beancurd, minced shrimp and pork. The service was top notch as the waitress was very attentive and efficient. For a delicious and perfectly seasoned authentic Chinese cuisine, I highly recommend this restaurant. This is a must go to food destination if you’re in the Rowland Heights area. An added bonus and dinning consideration: one of the cleanest bathrooms in a Chinese restaurant, or for any restaurant at that. I’m a huge stickler for when it comes to cleanliness and the bathroom is a good indicator for how they perceive cleanliness to be for the rest of the restaurant, ie kitchen.

I want this restaurant to do well. Pros: Good Taiwanese beer house style food Nice décor Ample parking(got a structure) Cons: They’re still trying to figure out how to get efficient with service(given they are still relatively new) They tried to upsell us to a $ 65 bottle of wine by lying that they didnt have the cheaper ones in stock. Thats a big NONO. They closed at 10pm on a Saturday. No no. Not good for a beer house. Their alcohol is good stuff but so is the price tag. You guys gotta introduce some of the generic stuff for us normal people.

The service for starters was great and our server offered suggestions and explained each one. The food was very tasty and the recommendations were on point especially the potstickers and the won tons. Visiting only for a couple days but will be back next time we are in town

Overall 3.5 stars. The food is decent and runs at about $ 12-$ 14 a plate. The inside is spacious & they have huge TV’s around. Service is solid. The portions are large enough for a good 5 – 6 people to share per entrée. Stuff that’s really good — 4⁄5 –3 Cup Squid, Chicken, Intesting — Solid. Definitely get this. It’s full of flavor & the meats they give taste great. –Pork Blood Soup — Solid. Same as above, full of flavor. The soup goes perfect w/rice & the pork blood tasted great. Stuff that’s average(but gets the job done) — 3⁄5 –Sliced Pork w/Bean Curd — Decent. Nothing memorable but it’s good. –Spicy Beef — Decent, also packs a REALLY spicy punch. –Rice Cake — Decent, does the job. Stuff that’s whatever. If you are in the mood for it grab it. Otherwise I’d probably pass on it next time. 3⁄5 or borderline 2⁄5. –Green Onion Pancake — The green onion pancake comes out too soft/soggy. It should be crunchier. –Fried Calamari — I didn’t like this that much. Waaay to salty. TIPS: –Located in the plaza adjacent to the golf– driving range /TS Emporium /Bank of America.

This restaurant was really nice. I was invited by friends and I didn’t really know what to expect when I drove into the plaza, but it turned out really nice. I did not eat much while I was there but I did try the yogurt soju and yes it was so good, I forgot it was alcohol lol. Next time I’ll have to try the food for sure.

Friends never been to this new plaza so we met there for dinner, her son wanted some noodle so we picked this restaurant. We ordered 6 items: Scallion pancake– pretty good, think slices and not oily, I like it :) Spicy wonton– ok, it is spicy but not standing out compare to other places’ ShangHai Spare Ribs– Good, nice portion and good flavor, the meat is tender and juicy Pumpkin stir fried rice noodle– nice mixture with cabbage and mushroom, the flavor is right but wish they can cut the pumpkin in julienne cut instead of slices, it will taste better. Chinese melon stir fried– NO good, it doesn’t taste fresh as the melon was bitter. House Noodle– you can pick from dry stirred or soup, the boy picked the noodle soup. We were expecting regular egg noodle, but pleased to find out they use homemade noodles! They only have 2 servers on Tuesday night with a full house, so there was not much of service to each table. The lady server was very friendly when she took the order as she offered to bring us kids tableware and even use a cute plastic cup for boy’s water with a shorter straw. The food is OK, 6 items for $ 52 is not bad. but sadly nothing really stand out and made us want to come back again.

My grandparents brought me here when I came home for spring break. We ordered a variety of dishes(fish fillet in wine sauce, steamed smelly tofu, salted egg with silk melon, pork with yellow leek and bean curd, and three cups chicken/intestine/squid). Because my grandma knew the owner, they even gave us complimentary beef rolls and sweet wine soup with rice balls! All of the food was delicious, not too salty or overly oily. Their stinky tofu was very very stinky, which made it extra delicious. It was probably some of the stinkiest smelly tofu we’ve had, and it’s definitely something I’d recommend to anyone coming here! Overall a great restaurant!

We stood outside for a minute or so, deciding on what to order. When we went in, the menu that was given to us was completely different, our options weren’t even on the new menu. We are quite stubborn on what we want so we asked if it available. The waitress said she just came on so she went to go ask. We came at 7pm. It turns out they did have it so we ordered it and waited. And waited we did. About fifteen minutes for my vegetable noodle soup to come out. I was halfway finished before he got his minced pork dry noodle, ten minutes later. But the food portion and the choice of noodles was really good. We’d come back here, just for the food. We’d bring our phones and something to pass time too. Okay he’s done eating now, so get an idea of how long he had to wait? Food was five stars, how long we waited makes it go down to four. Wait, I just got my check. Menu says vegetable noodle soup is $ 5.95, I got charged $ 7.95 for an open item. And they gave me two checks for the same items. Inconsistency, three stars. Being forgetful while there’s only two parties the entire time, two stars. Not coming back here, no matter how good the noodle was.

A fairly new establishment with a spacious modern feel to it. I was out with my sisters and decided to come here for some food and drinks… I’m not sure why but their bar was closed(on a saturday) though we could order sake or beer. Our server though was very thoughtful and filled our pitcher of beer to the brim. Im not a fan of bitter melon but i highly recommend the bitter melon with salted egg… yes it made me love bitter melon… I’m drooling just thinking about this dish… Minced Pork with Rice: what a disappointment… I rarely eat chinese food so I don’t have a lot to compare this to but this is the dish I always order at a chinese place. This one was bland. Green Onion Pancake: nothing special here 3 Dishes Pot: Wow!!! One of the best I’ve ever had… everything was bursting with flavor… i could’ve eaten that alone and been happy. While they have some stand out dishes… they have others that need work… I’m a fan of this place… they just need to work out some kinks

Went with someone who was a friend of the head chef/owner, so we got some stuff that’s not on the menu(though you can always call in and ask what specials he’s willing to make and he’ll give you a price quote). The food is super authentic and made with a lot of care. Their chicken rice(can’t remember which one) is sooo good. The salted egg with shrimp is really interesting. The plates aren’t too big so you can try a good number of dishes in one go and they’re pretty reasonably priced. The place is run by the same owner as Chefs(well, co-owner; they’re brothers), but it’s much better, imo.

New center, new hangout. THIS place looks like a modern bar/club/restaurant which does serve up «fun“adult beverages but also satisfies the hunger for traditional Taiwanese cuisine. On my visit I ordered my favorite dish, ‘xiao lom bao’, or juicy soup dumpling, as made famous by Din Tai Fun. I shared the green onion pancakes, and sweet pineapple chicken fried rice, for the more cultured customer that isn’t afraid of bitter melon, the bitter melon spare rib soup is pretty tasty on a cool evening. To compete the traditional dining experience we ordered hot tea, of the choices white tea sounded best– it was! it seemed to have notes of coconut which I’m all about. you’ll be pleasantly surprised with the food and the atmosphere! Will definitely be back with friends! gotta grab an cocktail next time!

One of the top notch Taiwanese restaurant in this area. If you are a Taiwanese that really appreciates the traditional tastes of the home cooked dishes, this is the place to go. Stop eating deep fried chicken, cured sausages and other unhealthy Taiwanese snacks and eat some real dishes. One of my favorite is the sesame oil and rice wine pork kidney. Definitely the best in LA(apart from Mu Dan where the chef came from) The 3 cup 3 flavors is another awesome dish. Some of the soup here is pretty good too. Restaurant is very clean, service is very good too. Business seems slow right now, especially during lunch. I hope they can do well since I count on them being here for a long time so I can take my mom to this restaurant whenever she is in town. Hard to get this authentic of Taiwanese dishes in North America(I’ve lived in Vancouver Canada, San Jose, now LA).

So, the owners of Chef’s have done it again! This time, they opened a new beautifully decorated restaurant that offers the same type of food with an even more extended menu and good ambiance. This place is a bit hard to find if you don’t know where it is, but it’s in the new plaza on the west side of Nogales just south of the 60 fwy. It’s in the northwest corner by the parking structure. This restaurant has great food, service, and interesting drinks. I particularly enjoyed the salted egg with pumpkin dish and the green onion pancakes, but every dish was delicious with good-sized portions and reasonable prices. There are a couple of private rooms for group parties, including a karaōke room. There are three TVs facing the bar and front dining room and a large projection TV in the back dining room so you don’t have to miss any major sporting events while dining. I like that they even have plasticware for kids in your party. A nice touch. I would rate this place 4.5 stars but I’m rounding up because the potential is high. Some suggestions for the owners that would easily take this place to 5+ stars: 1) Turn up the volume of sports games so we can hear it – this place does have the look of a sports bar after all! Alternatively, turn up the music… not too loud but enough that the customers can hear music or sports instead of each other and the kitchen 2) Proofread/correct the English/grammar mistakes in the drink menu(«Hable» should be «Herbal, «wit» should be «wheat», etc). 3) Change the menu to larger, more easily legible font. I can read it but not everyone can. Bottom line: worth going to. Now. A welcome addition to the neighborhood!
