This place has closed down permanently. I came here during the business hours and the restaurant’s sign said For Leasing.

Food is generally good. But clearly they do not keep to their posted hours. Went today, Sunday June 28 at 1pm and they were closed. No notice why, just dark as if they forgot to show up to work. How unfortunate, seems like their problem is management not the kitchen.

Sorry Phở Consommé I would have liked to try your food but apparently you were closed at 9:30 when the sign says 11:00 as well on the Unilocal page. I find it odd for a restaurant to be closed when I clearly see people inside eating. On a good note the place did look clean and very new as good restaurant should.

My family and I decided to try this new phở restaurant since it’s close to home and we wanted to check it out. The restaurant is clean and neatly kept which emphasizes how new it is. We came in on a Tuesday afternoon and it was mildly busy, just us and another two tables being serviced. The lady that greeted us was also our server. She was very attentive which was nice as we didn’t have to keep asking for water refills. Most of the food came out with a short wait. However, I had to wait almost 30 minutes to realize that my order wasn’t being made and there had been a mistake. Once I got the lady’s attention and asked her about my order, she decided to correct me on my order. Needless to say, I’ve never had a server tell me my order was wrong… pretty sure the customer knows what they ordered. My order consisted of replacing egg rolls with spring rolls on a bun dish since she informed me that they had run out of egg rolls. Somehow, she had understood it as if I had just ordered a side of spring rolls(which she had brought along with my family’s order, hence, to me, the rest of my order was missing). Anyway, after figuring out the misunderstanding, she brings me back the menu to see if I want to order anything else. Since she had already brought me the spring rolls, I said I’d order the rest of the dish which was what I was waiting for, just a bowl with lettuce, noodles, cucumbers, and bean sprouts. She said that that dish wasn’t available and was going to be removed from the menu. Why didn’t she mention this when I first ordered the dish? I go on to skim the menu again and realize they have plenty other bun dishes available which made no sense since they all consist of the same basic ingredients: lettuce, noodles, cucumber, and bean sprouts. So I ask her if they just don’t carry any bun dishes at all, to which she says they do… just not the want I want. I was literally asking for the most basic of bun dishes yet, ordering it turned out to be the most difficult thing ever. I ended up ordering a bun dish with fried tofu lemongrass. To my delight, it was actually pretty good and made up for the long and difficult ordering process. However, it took long for me to get my food that by the time I began eating my family was pretty much done. Due to this troublesome and confusing experience, I decided to knock down one star. The food and service, for the most part, were great. I just wished our server was clearer about menu items or had repeated our order to double check it was correct.

Had their rice with grilled pork, meat was fatty and tasty with a nice charbroiled flavor. Bonus points for a side bowl of phở soup. Gotta come back to try their photo next time

I recently ordered phở to go at Phở Consommé. I usually hate having Phở to go as you have to put everything together and then add the hot broth. Considering I ordered Phở to go, it was sooooo gooood. They add all the ingredients(including meats) in a styrofoam bowl and the hot broth in a different container. The broth was sooo good, it was delicious. I would definitley recommend going here, even you wanted it to go!!!

This place has great phở! I was hesitant at first because of the colorful exterior, but I was pleasantly surprised. In my opinion, it’s the best phở place in the rowland/hacienda area. The broth is good and they provide fresh bean sprouts, limes, and mint. Their Thai tea is also great. It tasted good and it didn’t come from a bottle. Everything is clean. There weren’t many people and that’s disappointing. I hate seeing places with good food close down because their competition has a nicer exterior.

Came here on a whim for lunch, Yummy hero was packed. Didn’t even know a new Viet place had opened I was looking for the old one. Place was quiet. The restaurant itself is very nice you can tell they just remodeled it. I wanted something healthy and got chicken salad and spring rolls(chicken salad at a phở place I know I’m weird). But it was pretty good, big portion. The chicken was sliced chicken breast with no skin on it. Spring rolls were good, I use a lot of dipping sauce which the waitress gave me more of when asked. Tried some of my coworker’s grilled pork broken rice, the pork was very very good. Probably better than Phở Ha which also has great pork. Good prices good food. The waitress was nice. Would come back again. spring rolls(2) was 3.50 chicken salad 7.25? grilled pork broken rice 7.75?

My boyfriend and I being regulars at Phở Consommé in Gardena, we expected something similar at this location. My boyfriend was really happy to see it open near his home and so was I. He really loves phở here and now he doesnt really have to come all the way to my neighborhood to eat their phở. But maybe he has to. Our dining experience here was pretty bad. I dined here twice already and my first visit wasnt too bad actually. We walked in pretty late considering their closing time was 10:00PM, we walked in after 9:30PM. But the server guy was nice enough to take us. We insisted that we respect their business hours but he was very understanding and accomodating. Our food was about the same quality and taste as the Gardena location but maybe even better service at that time compared to service there in Gardena. It seems like Gardena location is under new management and now its chaotic, disorganized and effortless. But surprisingly, service was really satisfactory thanks to this server guy. So with that, we visited again because my boyfriend was craving fried rice. Let me just say I never crave Phở or Vietamese food. Only reason I go is because of my boyfriend. I dont like saying no so I just go since I like to see him eat what he likes/craves. We walked in and there was no one around 7:00PM on a Monday night. I guess because theyre new and its Monday? Well, I didnt see that server guy from last time but was greeted by this lady. She asked us to seat anywhere and as soon as we sat down she gave us the menus and so on. After like 30 seconds, she comes back and says are you ready to order? I am thinking in my head, of course not, we just sat down. Told her we need a few more minutes and she like stood behind us, watched us and waited us until we were ready. Um, why?! So we ordered and got our food not too long after. My boyfriend got the House Special Fried Rice and I got this Vermicelli dish with Charbroiled Pork with Bean Curd Shrimp Paste. Food was almost the same as the other Phở Consommé location until I saw a piece of vinyl that was what, about 5 – 6 cm. I hate seeing stuff like that in my food and I called the server and she came and I told her I found this in my food and she just took it and said she will let him know meaning the cook in the kitchen I guess. After that nothing happened. SERIOUSLY? Of course not, I wasnt expecting any free meal or another dish remade but a sincere apology from a cook and possibly just asking if I needed anything. But nothing happened after she took the vinyl piece to the back. No apology or no, NOTHING! Yeah, I dont like how she and the cook handled this situation. All I wanted was their professional behavior and they were so ignorant about it. I was so speechless and a little mad that they didnt do anything about it. Oh, and you know what? She was eating her dinner behind us chatting with the cook. Whoa there. Also, she was so arrogant to ask me how the food was when she gave us the check. Ha, what do you think old lady? One star for the decent food and portion. Thats all they deserve really. I am going to refrain myself from coming to this location. Sorry Boyfriend.

Eh, I don’t think the 5 star reviews are legit. We went here because the wait at phở ha was too long. We ordered phở da biet, meat was pretty good, but wtf happened to the soup? Msg until our tongue burned, and the soup was hella sweet. You can judge a phở place by it’s broth, so unfortunately that was a failed. And the place smells like wet socks, which is typical of a lot of phở restaurants. This place could be decent if they lighten up on the msg and sugar!

My boyfriend and I gave this place a try because it was the only place open after 10pm. To our surprise, it was really delicious. We both got the shrimp phở and the flavors were amazing. Finally a late night spot for us night owls that like to eat late. Very good portions and very clean place. The customer service was exceptional, and they even remembered us when we went back the following weekend. We are now regulars and loyal customers. Highly recommended to all. Enjoy!

My boyfriend and I went here for lunch after getting a flyer for 20% off for the grand opening. The prices are reasonable and so are portions. Service was good, nicer than the«typical» Asian places. I ordered the broken rice dish and my boyfriend ordered the crispy noodles. The crispy noodles weren’t bad, but it was definitely a little too sweet and not the best we’ve had either. It was about average. It would had tasted better if if wasn’t too sweet. My broken rice dish, was missing my grilled pork. I called over one of the workers and pointed out that my plate was missing a main item that was supposed to be on there. The worker apologized and they took the plate back and later brought me a plate with all the items in place. After I received the correct dish, I thought it tasted pretty good, but for sure not the best I’ve had. I too was about average. The grilled pork had a lemongrass flavor. The crispy tofu shrimp was crispy but was not as flavorful as some others I’ve had. Overall, food was just average. I would not go out of my way to eat here… We also ordered 2 cups of Vietnamese Iced coffee. It tasted somewhat watered down to me… I am a bonafided coffee addict and Iced Vietnamese coffee is my coffee of choice… but the coffee here didn’t hit the spot… We used the 20% off coupon that was sent home. However, they also have 15% off now anyways for their grand opening. We were told we could take the 20% coupon home and use it again when we come back… I’m not sure how long this promotion is going on for. Another reviewer said they went for lunch was was given complimentary soup and egg rolls… my boyfriend and I went for lunch and no such thing happened for us! I was expecting to at least have our coffees or at least my coffee drink comp since they messed up my order but no such thing even happened. Another person said they received complimentary dessert… seriously, am I missing something here? Both these people gave perfect 5 star reviews… I get a messed up order and my coffee isn’t even on the house… The place is new and clean and looks updated, but they just opened, so that is expected anyways. Frankly, I’m kind of weary of the many«fabulous 5 star» reviews on here(aka, I’m thinking the reviews are fake…) … I am Vietnamese and I’ve been to many Vietnamese establishments and in my honest opinion, I think this place is more average than perfect 5 stars. My boyfriend and I came because the 20% from the grand opening drew us in… but with other places available… This place wouldn’t be our personal first choice for Vietnamese food…

I love phở and I sample different phở restaurants frequently. This is «Best» Phở place I’ve tried as far back as I can remember. Noodle cooked perfectly with copious amount of ingredients. Service was top notch and friendly. I will be back for sure!!! Update feb 212015 7th time back here within last 3 weeks and that’s because I’ve been unable to frequent more often due to a busy schedule. Still my favorite Phở of all time.(I’ve been eating phở since the early 80s when i used to order the extra large train head bowl at another local phở restaurant.) food and service are consistently great. Sorry phở the grammar but Safe to say that I am always«phở-filled» and«phở-sure» will be coming back«phở-ever» and recommend this place phở you.

First time here, phở is good. Both spring rolls & egg rolls are great too. I had the shrimp phở & liked it a lot. The rice noodle is better than a lot of places. Complimentary dessert tastes yummy! Definitely will be back!

Agreed with 1st reviewer. This is a new phở restaurant inside of Diamond Plaza. The goods: 1) Very good portions. Phở #1 comes with lots of beef and very descent amount of noodles. Also ordered broken rice with charbroiled pork and shrimp paste. Everything was delicious. 2) Unlike most phở restaurant with arrogant and rude servers, the servers here are very polite. 3) Since it just opened for business not too long ago, this place is very clean. 4) Went to lunch today and was offered complimentary soup and egg rolls. Also 15% of the bill. Will definitely go back.
