The Little Gym of Round Rock

Love our Bugs class with Miss Amy! She is always at the door to greet us! The employees know each student by name and are genuinely interested in each child’s development. My 9 month old son has gained so much confidence and core strength. It makes his day when we have class plus he has a great nap afterwards!

Both of my children attend classes at The Little Gym — one in the parent/​child class, and the other in grade school gymnastics — and we absolutely love it! Between the practice times for extra time in the gym, the relationships we’ve made with the staff there who obviously love what they do, and the instruction they’ve received — I couldn’t speak more highly of our experience!

Our grandsons’ birthday was at The Little Gym, Round Rock. The experience was beyond all of our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff assigned to their party was attentive and helpful. We wanted to bring our own decorations which added extra time to the setup and they were just amazing. We were ready before any guests arrived. The party itself was perfect. The young man who led the party activities in the gym was fun, friendly and attentive to all of the children, making sure that everyone was engaged and having a wonderful time. The music and activities were age appropriate and everything moved smoothly transitioning from one activity to another in just the right amount of time.
Over the years, we had many location parties with our own children and I can honestly say that I have never seen a better child’s birthday party. Every child was involved, having a great time, and the birthday children were in heaven! If you are considering a party for your young child or grandchild, you should consider The Little Gym!

Love this place! There’s a review about teachers being on their phones, but I’m pretty certain it’s just because they’re switching the music. I have never had a problem with the teachers being anything but incredibly nice. Now, some of the other moms need to wrangle their kids in, but that’s alright! It’s all fun and learning! My son goes to Karate once a week there and he LOVES it. He looks forward to it all week. I can’t recommend this place enough. Always clean, and being cleaned, always friendly service, and just all around great place.

Love love love love this place. It didn’t start out that way.
We enrollee our son when he was 14 months old. I almost pulled him and cancelled the membership because he wouldn’t do anything. The instructor told me this was normal and to stick it out. We did and I’m SO GLAD. Our son flourished. We saw so many changes in his capabilities.
He would light up when we said the words «Little Gym» and now runs to the door (20 months old) shouting for Miss Amy and Mr. Joseph. They are phenomenal with the kids.
I don’t have enough words of praise for this place. Just today I booked the gym for our son’s 2^nd birthday in March!

11÷02÷13 — First day at little gym. The kids are all having fun when the instructor isn’t on her phone texting someone.

We did a birthday party here. It was a really good time. An air conditioned padded room where kids can run around like crazy seemed like a good idea for a Texas summer day and it was. The instructors made it a lot of fun — they provided direction and activities but with a very light touch. The kids were pretty wiped out after an hour of running, jumping, climbing, etc. It was a no-​stress turnkey party — we just showed up and had fun. Would definitely consider doing this again.

This review is for potential employment. I went through their employment process. First, their ad was very misleading. Made the position sound higher than it was, therefore they can pay you minimum wage. Check out their ad sometime. You go through their first interview. I made it to the second interview with a promised contact of yes or no by a Tuesday. By Friday still no answer. So that following TUESDAY I wrote them an constructive email just saying that you can hire the best people but to have a successful business it really comes down to the fine details of the management and when you put a person through a second interview, they have given you much of their time it reflects greatly upon your company to follow through with your promise and get back to them. After that email, I started getting a call on my cell phone from a number I didn’t recognize. When this happens I let it go to voicemail. They did not leave a message. After a few times I finally answered it. It was the OWNER of the Little Gym and she went on to lecture me about how great their management was! Well, I got an answer for sure! (I had already made up my mind after Friday!)

We have been attending The Little Gym in Round Rock for a year now and we still love the classes. However, I wanted to write an update about our recent experience with having my son’s birthday party there. The whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. I was able to drop off the decorations earlier in the day so most of the decorations were up before I even arrived for the party. Then the wonderful staff handled everything from making sure the party guests were entertained to handing out food to cleaning up after the party. It was an easy, stress free event that everyone seemed to enjoy. I was really surprised when the hour of playtime was up because everything flowed so smoothly. I would definitely have another party here and will recommend it to all my friends with young children looking for a great place for a birthday party.

My son and daughter attend classes at the Little Gym of Round Rock — we ABSOLUTELY love it and completely recommend this location and it’s teachers! My daughter takes a parent & child Ballet/​Gymnastics class with Miss Leah. The first part of the class is dedicated to Ballet, where the kids learn basic ballet moves and begin to learn participation independent of their caregiver. Then they move on to the bigger gym, where they learn Gymnastics such as how to properly do a forward roll, assisted «flips» on the bar, various climbing «tricks» and the balance beam. The caregivers attending the class with the child, are expected to assist & spot their children during the independent exploration time, while the instructor provides guidance and 1:1 spotting of each child during the stations that the children go through one at a time. Lauren loves this class and is always one of the first to volunteer when the teacher requests one of the students to demonstrate a new gymnastics move. She completely trusts her teacher and will even request that Miss Leah will assist her in the trick she is trying to do and NOT Mommy! My son attends the Sports class with Mr. Johnny. In this class, they cycle through various sports during the session as well as incorporate various gymnastics skills (similar to those listed above, but more complicated moves). During each station, the teacher pulls one child off at a time to learn specifics about the sport or the new gymnastics move. During this time, since the children are older, they are allowed to explore and practice on two other stations that the instructor has set up and provided instruction on what to and how to do it. My son has always been hesitant to try new things, but he trusts Mr. Johnny implicitly and will attempt anything that is thrown his way. I love that he has such a great relationship with his teacher and his confidence has grown with leaps and bounds during the 9 months he has been in the class. Both kids also attend the weekly drop in sessions provided by the Little Gym. These practice sessions are GREAT for reinforcing the gymnastics that they have learned in their respective classes earlier in the week. Also, even though I have specifically called out the «main» teachers my kids have had, from time to time a substitute has filled in and we get the same great attention and experience, every single session.

Great place to take your kids! I’ve even taken my son to other little gym locations in Austin and he told me that he liked this one better. He really likes Ms. Ashley as his instructor and Leah is great too. I am very satisfied!
