I don’t know why I didn’t come here until last year. Dr. Winner is about the most down to earth guy you’ll meet. He did everything he could to keep my cost down, and made me feel like I was an old friend.
I was part of two contact lens studies with this office. Dr. Winner and his staff were professional and thorough. I don’t remember getting my eyes tested so extensively as Dr. Winner did with the studies.
The office has a decent selection of frames. It’s not a big operation, so don’t expect an assembly line experience.
If you are in the east Roswell area, I would recommend checking out Visual Eyes. They take EyeMed if you have that insurance.

I love dr Winner! He’s always helpful and makes it entertaining, considering going to the eye doctor (or any dr) is never usually any fun! I’ve been going here for close to 10 years now, first because of convenience but he does such a great job I keep coming back for consistently great service. I was at one point driving almost 45 minutes to come here (and my parents moved to acworth and still drive that far!) the last person who commented was obviously disgruntled but I will keep coming back!

Dr. Winner’s sense of humor is not for everyone, but as a snarky, inappropriate person my own self, I appreciated getting along without having to tread carefully. I was visiting as part of a contact lens study, and had the opportunity to witness his obviously close relationship with other patients.
His staff is well trained, and very prompt about answering questions.
I only wish he were closer — and the selection of frames tends toward the fancy designer, I will continue to purchase my glasses online, but will probably purchase my contacts from the office.

I made an appointment with Dr. David Winner to have an eye examination on Feb. 25, 2014. When I visited the office, there was almost no wait to see the doctor; I only had to complete a short form about my medical history. I found Dr. Winner to be both knowledgeable and pleasant. We talked about my family history (my brother has had a considerable number of eye problems) and Dr. Winner explained that his specific problems were probably more a result of where he lives (in the hot sun of Arizona) than heredity. I believe that Dr. Winner’s examination of my eyes was thorough. He found that I did need a change of my prescription. I chose new frames from the many on display. I did not feel pressured to purchase any of the frames. Following my examination, my new glasses were ready for pickup in four days. I found the cost of both the examination and my new glasses to be very reasonable.

My experience with Dr. Winner was awesome. He fit me in for a same day appointment and took the time out to ask me a lot of questions and then explain everything he was doing and exactly what my problem was. My glasses were in within a few days and I receive compliments on them all the time.

My whole family has gone to Dr. Winner for years. He is both incredibly good and incredibly dedicated. My wife, in particular, has a combination of a tricky prescription and very sensitive eyes. He has worked with her to find contact that work for her in a way that I would not have expected from even the most patient of healthcare providers.
I would not go to anyone else!

My family and I have been Visual Eyes customers since the day they opened and will remain a customer until the day they close.
In the time I’ve been a customer, David Winner has stayed open late, squeezed me for emergencies and saved me thousands of dollars with valuable advice.
I was once told by an actual jerk doctor, that «there are two types of doctors… responsive (caring) and non-​responsive (selfish). You need a responsive doctor.»
David Winner is not only responsive, but thorough and knowledgeable as well.

I went to Dr. Winner several years ago for an eye exam, and contacts. He diagnosed that I had glaucoma. He really saved my eyes. I had to see a glaucoma specialist. If it weren’t for Dr. Winner’s skills, my glaucoma most-​likely would not have been discovered until I was in mush worse shape. Dr, Winner is a fantastic eye doctor. He, like everyone else is just trying to make a lving. So the person who is complaining about the price of her contacts should realize that you usually get what you pay for.

David Winner is a jerk. I’ve never particularly liked him, but I’ve been too lazy to go somewhere else since his «office» is close to my house. Like most economically minded folk, I order my contacts online. Every single time I placed an order, he figured out a way to hold it up. It’s obvious that he just wants people to buy from him at a markup rather than cheaper online for the same product. This time around he claimed that the prescription was incorrect. I explained to him that I took the prescription straight off the box and that I’ve had that prescription for at least a year. I have the records from 1−800-Contacts to prove it. He got incredibly defensive and hung up on me.
His lack of professionalism and militant insistance on forcing people to buy from him is disgusting. I’m officially in the market for a new eye doctor who, I don’t know, actually graduated from medical school.
