As a former Pilates teacher I am super picky about where I take Pilates for my own workout. I was really excited when Restore opened because, at the time, it was down the block from where I was living in Roswell. I went in and tried a couple of privates with the owner Shannon and really liked it. She has a great teaching style; she had all the qualities I was looking for — good explanations, willing to demonstrate, would adapt an exercise if I was having trouble and paid attention to my form. Over the next couple of months Shannon added several other teachers to the roster and I started taking some of the group classes as well. The group classes are great! They are so easy to sign-up for — Restore has an online system. There are several different types and levels, including Cardiolates. I thought I was going to hate Cardiolates because I’m not big on hybrid Pilates classes, but this is awesome. It is a cardio workout that combines Pilates and interval training. As for the other teachers they are great too. I’ve worked with Jennifer and Amy and think they both have great styles and are strong teachers. I was so sad when I moved out of Roswell because it was just too far for me to trek there for classes. The other awesome and unique thing Restore does it is its payment options. Instead of buying packages of classes that you have to complete within a certain time period, Restore does a bank. So you can pre-pay $ 250, $ 500 or $ 1000 and then just subtract from you bank everytime you have a session, whether private or group. This rocks and makes things so much easier. Plus, the higher your bank, the greater the discount per class or private session. If you live in or near Roswell, definitely go to Restore for Pilates!
