History

Established in 1999.

The Swing Factory started in 1998 in Cumming, GA. Owned by PGA member, Don Peterson the Swing Factory has continuously offered golfers in and around Atlanta, top golf instruction. As author of «The Baseball Golf Swing Method» Don Peterson works with beginners, intermediate and low handicap golfers. Don’s student list includes major champion 2004 Open Champion Todd Hamilton, comedian Jeff Foxworthy, NFL legend Brett Favre, and many of the Atlanta Braves. Don’s expertise in teaching helped him to be ranked in the TOP 50 Instructors in the United States in 2009, 2010, and 2011 and belong to the Proponent Golf Group, golf’s elite golf instructor network.

Business Owner

As a PGA member since 1987, Don Peterson has forged a career in golf. Don earned an Associates Degree in Horticulture from Danville Community College while qualifying for the NJCAA Championship Golf Tournament in Galveston, Texas. Next, Don apprenticed in the PGA and graduated in the top 5% of his class.

As a player, Don has won professionally and continuously improved his game. Turning to instruction, Don has excelled in helping golfers achieve their goals. In 1999 and 2000, Don helped Todd Hamilton retool his swing. Todd then won 12 tournaments in Japan before jumping to the PGA Tour in 2004 to take the 2004 Honda Classic and the Open Championship making Todd The Champion Golfer of the Year and PGA Tour Rookie of the Year.

Don has also worked extensively with Senior PGA Tour member Tim Simpson, comedian Jeff Foxworthy, NFL Legend Brett Favre, and many of the Atlanta Braves.

Don was selected into the TOP 50 Instructors in America by Golf Range Magazine for 2009, 2010, and 2011.
