Lucky’s Burgers & Brew is a burger restaurant and sports bar located near historic downtown Roswell. It’s across the street from PURE taqueria and has its own parking lot with plentiful spaces. There’s another Lucky’s location inside the perimeter at Town Brookhaven. Lucky’s opened in 2010. The business is named after the owners’ dog. Inside-out, the restaurant is dog-themed, most evident by the multitude of dog portraits lining the walls. The restaurant is casual, frequented by families and sports fans. It reminds me of a smaller Taco Mac. There are numerous TVs to watch sports and an enclosable patio outside. There are over 15 burgers on the menu. Scanning through the menu for the first time, I was surprised to see«German Shepherd» on there. For a brief moment, I thought, «What the heck?» Then I realized many of the burgers at Lucky’s are named after dog breeds such as Chihuahua, Bluetick Hound, Russian Wolf Hound, and Boxer. I can’t say these are the most appetizing dish names. Expect to spend about $ 11 – 12 for a burger and side. You can also build your own, starting with a naked burger at $ 9 and toppings at $ 1 each. Interesting topping selections include brie, chopped green chili, and fried eggs. Starters and sides include fried pickles, chili cheese tots, fried mozzarella, tempura artichoke hearts, onion rings, and sweet potato fries. Along with the aforementioned, Lucky’s also serves salads, wings, and sandwiches such as chicken, turkey, and fish sandwiches plus Philly cheesesteaks. Lucky’s only has four wing flavors: naked, medium, hot, and mango BBQ. A dozen wings is $ 9. I’ve tried the naked and mango BBQ versions and found the wings to be average. The naked wings are plain old friend chicken wings. Not much flavor nor terribly appetizing either. The wings are a bit dry too. The mango BBQ version is better because the sauce helps, though it’s pretty sweet. Wings are served with celery sticks and dressing. Of the burgers, I’ve tried the Memphis Blood Hound and the Georgia Dawg Pounder. The burgers are customizable, but come standard with a 7 oz. beef patty cooked medium with lettuce, tomato, and pickle slices on a soft, eggy challah bun. The beef patties are large and stick to your ribs. The Blood Hound contains marinated red onions, shredded cheddar, candied bacon, and mango BBQ sauce(presumably the same ones used on their wings). The bacon strips are thick and crispy and the mango BBQ sauce, as noted in the paragraph above, is rather sweet. The Dawg Pounder is an interesting looking burger. Photo: . Atop the beef patty is a fried pimento cheese ball which, using the top bun, you squish into the patty, causing lots of melted pimento cheese to ooze out. It’s kind of fun. The burger also has red pepper jelly and mayo. It’s not bad, though heavy and a bit messy to eat. While I certainly like the addition of red pepper jelly, this burger might have too much goopy cheese and condiments for my taste. Sides I’ve tried include onion rings, fries, and coleslaw. All are pretty run of the mill. I’m a fan of coleslaw, but not a huge proponent of the version here. It has a distinct flavor I’m not keen to, plus there’s not a whole lot of vinaigrette in it. I prefer more vinegary slaws. Service is A-OK.

Best place to grab a burger near Canton. Really good people and love that I can bring the dog and sit on the porch any. Trivia on Wednesday nights is also a blast. Try to catch one of their festivals out on the outdoor deck because that’s a great time too. Continue doing a great job.

This place is a joke. It is run by incompetent young people who can’t manage a service or a wait. I have eaten here before but will not patronize this restaurant ever again. Food was mediocre at best and service was lacking. It is a cool vibe to be able to bring your dog with you, but when they allow a Great Dane the size of a small horse to occupy and share your dining place it is too much. Best of luck in your future but it will be without me or anyone that I know.

GREAT atmosphere and super dog friendly! We brought our golden retriever and all the servers are really friendly with the dogs, which was nice since some restaurants act like its a nuisance that we brought our dog to sit on the patio. I got the Greek black bean burger and my friend got the dawg beef burger, both were excellent a little pricey for what you’re getting, only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars.

Good place to relax, take the dogs, get cheap beer, and have good service. The only way they could improve is if their food quality was a tad bit better.

We love coming in there. It’s awesome that a place lets you bring your dogs with you. Our fox terriers are a little too wild to bring there but our new Great Dane puppy does great there. We love the service and really enjoy the food. We plan to visit regularly.

I’ve only been here once for lunch and it was a good experience. Ordered the turkey burger and sweet potato fries(trying to be healthy), both were pretty yummy. Good service and simple interior. Would definitely go back.

This is the dumbest place I’ve ever been to. We went here to eat their $ 40 burger. Now, typically this is eaten as a challenge; the burger is huge– it’s 8−9lbs. So naturally IF you do the challenge, they will charge you $ 40 for 4 people to do it, then $ 10 additional per additional challenger. That is understandable right? Cause more challengers makes it easier to finish the burger, and win some bragging rights. BUT we came in here NOT to do the challenge. We just wanted to eat. And even with this, they charged us $ 10 per person. So if you came in here, with 10 people, you will pay $ 100 to eat the SAME amount of burger. Dumb right? Yep.

This was my first time here and I loved it! My boyfriend and I brought our dog and sat on the patio. The food was delicious and service was awesome! I definitely recommend the mozzerella sticks. They are homemade and delicious!

First time here. Our initial introduction was not so great. While waiting in line the hostess made the same comment to each person as they told her how many people were in their party, «let me check.» Even though she just came from that dining area. The waiter was good amount of quirky and attentive. Food was awesome. Our party had the Double Stack and the Hare Hound. Both were delicious. Great atmosphere and I will return.

If you are looking for a good burger place, I would suggest coming to Lucky’s. First off, you can enjoy lunch and/or dinner with your 4 legged pal on the patio. This was my first time coming here. My husband heard good reviews on Facebook, so we decided to venture out to Roswell to check it out(45 minutes away from our home). Once we walked in, we were greeted right away. Our waiter was very welcoming(Thanks Gio!) The food: one word«Amazing!» We got the Fried artichokes as an appetizer. A must try! Very delicious and a bit filling. The hamburger I got was the Pedigree. Fantastic!!! I will give them 5 stars and two thumbs up!!!

Any place that has $ 1.50PBR draft is alright by me. Food was meh at best, service was horrible. Love downtown Roswell area and the atmosphere was pretty neat. We sat out at the pavilion where doggies are welcome to come and go.

Favorite burger place in town! The owner is very nice and always makes sure to check on all the tables. You can bring your dog and the outdoor patio is extremely comfortable, evenly heated, during the winter. The Georgia Dawg burger is my favorite and you can’t go wrong with the sweet potato fries or the parmesan parsley fries.

Came here for weekday lunch. Chicken sandwich with brie and apples was TODIEFOR. Service was good and my husband loved the burger. I also loved the fries. Would go back just for that awesome chicken. Cute, albeit a bit depressing theme for a restaurant, but really cute that they were inspired by their pooch. Wish them continued success.

A solid local burger spot… They have a good beer selection and an above average burger that’s fairly priced. A really laid back atmosphere makes it a good casual spot to hangout and play trivia during the week. If you want a relaxed night out I recommend it!

We really love Luckys. It’s a regular stop for us, especially when our puppy wishes to tag along :). Hot wings have vastly improved(although the hot needs to be hotter please), staff are always friendly and hustling, and the menu has something for everyone. Their sweet potato fries are to die for(blue cheese dip… yum!). Burgers are very good, only suggestion is that they tend to be towards well done, even when you order medium. So lighten up the fire please :) Beer is cold, TV’s always on sports and lunchtime on a Saturday is a big party. Great outdoor space when the weather cooperates. Keep it up Lucky’s!

After a day at the dog park, my friends and I wanted to eat somewhere that would allow our canine companions to join in for lunch. Lucky’s Burger & Brew was the perfect place. We were seated outside on the patio where there were other customers with their dogs. I was surprised by the number of dogs there. The service was very friendly. Although we were seated outside, our waitress brought our food and other necessities in timely manner and checked on us frequently. They provide the dogs with a red water bowl. However, there was limited space to move or walk around the patio. My friends and I shared the shrimp and crab dip. The dip itself was kind of oily, but you couldn’t have known by its taste. It came with crispy potato chips which didn’t break as you dip. My boyfriend and I shared a smoked turkey Philly cheese steak with sweet potato fries and 12-piece wings smothered in Lucky’s mango BBQ sauce. You could really taste the smokey flavor of the turkey in the cheesesteak. It’s not a usual flavor for a cheesesteak, but it worked. The cheesesteak had fairly light amount of cheese and the buns weren’t as toasty as I would have liked, but I definitely recommend trying it. The sweet potato fries are lightly crispy, but it was not oily. The fries were not sweet, but it came with a tangy sweet dipping sauce. The wings had a subtle mango flavor which gave it a tangy taste. Recommend? Yes.

Went there this past Saturday when the Thumbs Up diner was closed near by. I had a very satisfying Lucky Burger with cheese which comes with fries and a soft drink or tea for $ 7.77(cheese extra). The burger came the way they promise(medium), but unfortunately, they failed to even tell me it came with the drink. They did bring the fries. The fries and burger were good but I have to withhold a higher mark because of the missing drink. Oh, my son-in-law had an unsatisfactory experience also. Three stars.

Lucky’s is my top choice for burgers in Roswell! Excellent quality burgers and amazing tater-tots…topped with cheese and they are perfect! I love the atmosphere — being a dog lover and there always being dogs on the patio — its great! They offer your dog fresh water and tables in the shade for those hot summer days, my Golden Retriever, Roxy, is most appreciative there is a place like Lucky’s to go hang out with her people!!!

The burgers were really good. The waiter was nice but he put our check down on the side of the booth and not in front of us so we sat there for a long time waiting for the check. Pretty friendly and funny staff. The fries were my favorite there. Will go again!

Lucky’s was an incredible experience! Friendly and attentive staff, extremely nice manager and a fun atmosphere. We had a party of 5 and all got different menu items. The Philly cheesesteak with the white barbecue sauce was a big hit. The burgers, coleslaw and Parmesan parsley fries were amazing and everything tasted so fresh, we all left very satisfied! Definitely recommend Lucky’s!

I recently had an opportunity to visit Lucky’s Burger & Brew, after wanting to stop in for a while. I sat at a high table near the bar and started with one of my favourites; Angel’s Envy Bourbon(neat). I ordered the Undertaker. A burger served with applewood smoked bacon, American cheese, a fried egg, fried onion straws and mayonnaise. Pickles, lettuce and tomato are included also. The burger is served medium. No complaints; the burger was full of flavour and complemented by the other components of the sandwich. The menu offers a variety of other burgers and sandwiches, including the option of building your own with a choice of turkey, black bean [burger] or chicken breast. This is a good place for a good sandwich and libations.

Super casual place. We ordered french poodle(fries chicken) sandwich and undertaker(burger). Taste was bland in general. My sandwich and fries were cold and I made a mistake by ordering the parmesan parsley fries because what they basically do is adding some parmesan and parsley to your dry fries. Also the meat patty in the undertaker wasn’t spiced at all. My favorite dish was the appetizer. We had fried artichokes. And the service was great. Our table’s waiter was very attentive and nice. I enjoyed my time there and I would definitely go back there but I wish they can improve they food slightly.

After adopting Vino I started looking for places that would allow dogs too the search lead us here. The first time in we(Vino & self) went through the front door not knowing you could enter from the patio. Until today thought there was only one patio entrance and have always entered from the back straight onto the patio. Know one has ever said«wait to be seated» that is until today. The manager Chris needs to work on his manners and learn some tact. After entering and grabbed the first table(as you walk in) a few minutes had passed was trying to get settled in and was informed«they were on a wait». There were three women taken to a table right next to me(in a friendly fashion I might add) and that’s it. Know one else was waiting so why the attitude ? Thank goodness the waitress(Karen) was super friendly because I was about to grab the dog and leave. As for the food it’s o.k. I come here more for the experience than the food but did notice I got no coleslaw with my meal today and the extra plate ordered for Vino was missing the fries that has come with his order in the past. When I tried to get the code for the internet was informed it is «broken outside» I tried anyway and it doesn’t work. Today’s visit will be my last for awhile. Drop me a note if you know of other dog friendly restaurants.

Since my mother told me about this fabulous place, my wife and I have become regulars at Lucky’s. The staff are always friendly, the manager takes time to personally visit tables, and best of all, we can bring our dog! I have never had a single complaint about any aspect of this frequent dining experience. Lucky’s get’s an A+

If you’re looking for a spot in Roswell to bring your dog and enjoy a good brew and burger(or salad, chicken sandwich, whatever you’re into), this is the joint. Not only do they encourage furry friends, the food is great too. Let’s start with the mutts. The server came out to us, and every other table with a dog, with a water bowl in hand and a milk bone. I’m already in love. They don’t just«put up with your dog,» they welcome them. Every server who walked by took a moment to admire and love on our pup, and rightfully so. Our dog is a handsome SOB. And then there’s the food! We thought we were hungry, but holy cow. The beer menu is pretty decent and varied. They have an «IPA of the Month,» so that’s amazing. We ordered the chili cheese tots to start while we were deciding on burgers. Big mistake. Let me tell you, this plate of tots was ENORMOUS!!! 4 people would have been full on that appetizer alone. If they weren’t so damn good, I could have stopped eating them and saved room for my burger, but noooo. Chili, real cheese, sour cream, and jalapeños on perfectly crispy tots. Yeah. So then our burgers came. Hubby got the GA Dawg Pounder with pimiento cheese and pepper jelly, I got the Bloodhound with their house BBQ sauce and pickled red onions– both were incredible. The bun was not too crazy thick so as to overpower the burger itself, but had a nice sweet taste and texture. I will say, I’m glad I ordered mine as medium rare, because it came out more what I would anticipate as a mediums even after the server’s description, IMHO, but it was fantastic. Tender, juicy, flavorful. AND! We subbed fries for onion rings and sweet potato fries and oh my goodness! Get them. I have to say, there are a few other places in the area who allow dogs, but not at the same quality of food and service(ahemDieselcoughcough). 1 star off, only for the unexpected burger temp & a little sluggishness getting our check as the patio filled up around 6. This is our new favorite spot when filling up after hitting the Hooch for sure.

LOSTDOG! Mixed breed Crooked tail Missing left hind-leg from getting hit by a car No hair on rump Blind in right eye Too old for tricks Recently castrated Right ear bitten off in dogfight –Answers to the name of «Lucky» “Luckily”, Lucky’s Burgers & Brew fares much better. This is a casual burger joint which works well for a business lunch, a date, or a family night out. The restaurant stays busy and has a good loyal fan base. The menu offers up a good selection of burger creations, all named after dog breeds. For vegetarians Lucky’s has a pretty good black bean option. The beer list has something for everyone, from beer snob to PBR guzzler. Service here has always been great. The walls are covered in dog pictures and various dog-aphanalia, which is cool, unless you are a cynophobiac.

«If your reviews are looking like essays, start a blog. I can’t read your life story on my phone before ordering from the menu» Time & Date of visit: 2 pm Satuday Party Size: 2 Location/Ambiance: We sat on the patio area and I kid you not, if you are allergic to dogs or just a cat only kind of person, sit inside. For those who love puppys, no matter their age, be prepared to share some love for any guests with dogs. All dogs get their own water bowl from the servers, so for those with furry babies, need not worry if they left their beloved ones bowls in the car or at home. On the patio, it’s more chill and laid box vs the inside with all the tv’s. I also have had the opportunity dine at their Brookhaven location. It’s more trendy and well lit. More of a burger joint then a sports bar kind of vibe. But I’ll review that one separate. Service: Our server was pretty attentive and we never had to waive him down for refills. Food came out very well timed between the appetizer and our burgers. Food Highlights: Beer selection is pretty wide for bottles go. My cousin and I split a pitcher of blue moon as they ran out of his first choice of Terrapin. Chili Cheese Tots: I don’t think my cousin read the whole description, cause this was an overload. Crispy tots cover with a mound of chili, cheese, a side of sour cream and jalapenos. Definitely made for sharing and to eat pretty fast before the tots get soggy. I would say this is could be a meal itself if you’re the type to get your hash browns«all the way» at WH. Taste — a greasy good mess. Serving size — 2 – 3 people to share. Undertaker: This burger is no joke — four onion rings atop a fried egg and bacon strips. Each onion ring was crunchy but made the burger way to big to take a bite out of. I took two rings out to taste by itself and share with my cousin. We both agree that these were excellently cooked. Crispy and still juicy on the inside. The egg was fried well done, which his how I like, those who want some yolk should specify that to the server. The burger was mighty tasty, tender all the way through and flavorful. Order this if you’re starving. You won’t be disappointed. Fries: Cooked just right, with a slight crispy texture. They didn’t really season them, which I prefer so I could add salt to my liking. Summary: For the value, this is a great burger place. Even more if you have dogs with you. I can’t say this would be in the top 5 of best burgers in Atlanta, but it’s there in the top 10. Come starving and you won’t be disappointed, unless you’re a vegan but then why would you even come to a burger joint in the first place?

«Not another burger… You know, you are not going to be 22 forever.» — Pitch Perfect(2012) What a fun and friendly place to get a burger OTP. I’ll give them props for their wide selection of burger combinations on their menu to choose from, but also but the ability to build your own if you so choose. Lots of seating space and good service — both make this place a good spot for a group. Plus, many TVs, so this came in handy for me to watch an MLB playoff game and see my SF Giants play… even in Atlanta! Most of the burgers/sandwiches are named for dog breeds — the owner is a dog lover and the place is named after the owner’s own pup. So that is cute, but not so cute that it should deter anyone. And if you don’t like ground beef, they offer ground turkey, black bean, or chicken. On my first visit, Michelle K and I decided to each order a sandwich and swap halves so we could try two. We also started with the tempura fried artichoke hearts with the sesame ginger aioli. So the dip was the best part of these, but after a while they were too salty and over battered. I might not order these again unless they were being shared among 5 or 6 people so I didn’t eat too many. As for the sandwiches, we split the Memphis Blood Hound(red onions, cheddar, candied bacon and mango BBQ sauce) and the French Poodle Chicken sandwich(buttermilk battered and fried chicken patty, melted brie, caramelized onions, granny smith apples and dijon mustard). The burger was great — excellent flavor combination, soft bun, and the meat was well-seasoned. It was slightly over cooked in comparison to what I asked it to be cooked to, but there were 10 of us at the table. I would order this again for the flavors. But, by far, the chicken was a home run. I bet it is equally amazing as a burger too. This could be great without any protein as well — brie, apples, dijon — all on a killer bun! I’d say the fries were good, but I’ve had better. They could benefit from a thicker cut fry with a bit more seasoning. As for service, our glasses were kept full and our server was funny, and attentive. I’ll definitely be back again.
