Established in 2011.

Attorneys Edward A. Smith and Stephan M. Brown along with Eric T. Welch, Legal Administrator forms the team at The Bankruptcy Group, P.C. Together they built the firm, which specializes in bankruptcy, and focuses on client service. The firm is responsive to client needs and accessible when clients need us most. The Bankruptcy Group offers evening and weekend appointments, in order to accommodate our clients work schedules and family responsibilities. The firm provides each client with a direct contact cell number, email addresses and direct dial office phone numbers to enhance communication. The firm offers flat fee pricing for all bankruptcy cases. It a simple concept, yet it is lost in most traditional law firms. Our passion for client service guides us and is reflected in the results we are able to achieve for our clients on a daily basis.

Bio:

Edward A. Smith is licensed by the California State Bar and has been in continuous practice as an attorney since 1989.

Mr. Smith has a wide breadth of civil law experience, including civil litigation in State and Federal Court, bankruptcy, probate and estate planning, real property law and in formation and representation of small businesses.

With the down turn in the economy, rise of unemployment, state employer furlough pay reductions and the housing crisis, all in the last decade, Mr. Smith has steadily increased his law practice emphasis to represent consumers in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies to help consumers keep their homes.
