History

Established in 2007.

Started in 2007, Eighty Eight Notes School of Music has been an educational beacon in the St. Paul and surrounding communities. Offering individualized, quality music education, the programs here can’t be beat. There is no other school that offers music education for ages 6 weeks to adult with as many instrumental class options as we provide under one roof. Piano, voice and choir, ukulele and guitar, percussion, violin and viola, clarinet, flute, and saxophone. Group and private classes available.

Mellisa W.

Business Owner

A dedicated piano teacher and music school owner, Mellisa has pursued her love of music from a very young age. Music and teaching is her passion! Mellisa says about her profession, «I don’t have to teach music, I GET to teach music! My ultimate goal as your teacher is to nurture a genuine love for music, a gift that lasts a lifetime.»

Mellisa graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Music Education and Liturgical Music, with a minor in Flute Performance and Bible in 2007 from Golden State Baptist College in Santa Clara, CA. She received her Master of Arts in Music Education with a concentration in Piano Pedagogy in 2013 from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. She is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music (certified through the Music Teacher’s National Association).
