History

Established in 2005.

When I opened the Lounge all I wanted to do was offer sewing support. I had worked for local designers and my co-​workers taught me so much about sewing, things I’ve never seen in pattern instructions or sewing books. Working part time at Treadle Yard Goods it occurred to me that people wouldn’t be so reluctant to work with quality fabrics if they got better results. Since fit is also an integral part of successful garment construction a professional pattern maker comes to the Lounge at least once a month to help customers address that issue.

In the fall of 2014 I began adding fabric for apparel and have a collection that ranges from elegant to funky; exciting fabric you won’t find anywhere else in town.
