Decent menu and friendly staff for the most part. Sometimes my water needs a refill and it takes forever for the waiter to come by. They have an excellent buffet breakfast! Decent options on the menu for lunch and dinner. I always get either the tofu salad or the pilot burger! If you are ordering a burger the pilot burger is a must! It comes with a pretzel bun and toasted Brussels. So delicious! They also offer decent dessert

I stayed at this hotel for a conference and would not recommend«The Ashburn» resturant. Service was cold, unfriendly and slow with most of the staff proudly displaying their local union’s button. Didn’t bother with the food because I assumed it would be equally as bad. Pretty lame, especially given the prices. Don’t waste your time here.

Service was great. Drinks were pretty darn good. The food, though? Nope. I ordered Octopus Salad(was feeling adventurous, won’t be making that mistake again) and I could only eat a few bites. I’ve never had octopus before, so maybe I just truly don’t like it — but honestly, the octopus looked rubbery and colorless. I don’t feel lit was cooked well. The salad was basically tons of octopus tentacles and other chopped up bits, with a little bit of potatoes and a tiny bit of actual salad. Definitely the opposite of what I expected. My husband got fish tacos. Definitely expected better quality here, as well. It seemed like frozen fish sticks put into a cheap tortilla with jarred salsa that had some frozen corn added to it. Not impressed.

met my cousin who was visiting from out of town for a quick meal and found this spot. I ordered the Turkey club and my cousin got a salad which she really liked. The ambience is classy, folks seemed professional and staff was very polite. They validate parking which can otherwise get expensive. Will certainely go back!

Canceled flight at O’Hare landed me at the Lowes hotel. With not much else to do, my fiancé and I wandered into the Ashburn. We got drinks which were pricey, and then came the food. We shared the waffle burger. This is easily one of the best burgers I have ever had. The meat was tender and cooked to perfection, the cheese expertly melted and then there is the bun. It is Mac and cheese waffle. How do they even make that? With a hit of maple it is an amazing addition to the burger. If I ever find myself in Chicago I will go out of my way to venture back for this burger. This place is more than just a hotel restaurant. A must visit!

Went on a Friday with my BF for date night to check it out. Food was just ok. I ordered the pork tacos which I expected to have a lot more flavor & even my beer wasn’t that cold. My BF orders the regular burger & again it was just ok. Really nice décor but expected more.

Anything aviation… show me the blueprints. I first noticed the sign«The Ashburn» and my name is Ashley, so obviously that’s fate. Then I noticed the little plane on the sign. Right now, I am incredibly passionate about exploring, flying, sailing, just going. Seeing planes & boats excite me. Heard it was a gastropub & opening soon; I was totally excited. The interior is nice, but not as much aviation themed stuff as I had expected or hoped for, although I love the back wall & metal plane between two booths. It would be neat if they have screens playing old aviation videos. The drinks were overpriced. $ 18 margarita??? Maybe in Vegas, Cali or Miami, but no thank you. Even the best margaritas we’ve had(and we’ve had a lot) are maybe $ 15 tops. All craft beers $ 7 – 8. Some higher alcohol content beers cost that, but usually not the low ABV ones. The food: really tasty! I got the Waffle Burger with a gouda mac-n-cheese bun(yeah, weird, I know), but I kinda liked it, in a strange way. Also subbed a side of mac-n-cheese with it; yeah, weird, I know. Our server was very kind & helpful. I would definitely return for the food & atmosphere.
