Summer Rolls, I will consistently visit you even if you keep re-branding your place. I will eat here even if you rename yourself to Winter Rolls or Autumn Rolls because the original sister, Spring Rolls, is always the ultimate comfort dish and you make it SO incredibly good — and… that sauce. I crave you at least twice a week, whether it’s raining or burning in Southern California. The bun bo hue is delicious as well. I always pass on the pork knuckles. If you get an extra knuckle in your soup, then you know who to thank! Cheers to their iced Vietnamese coffee that will leave you anxious and jittery for days.

Had rice cake dish, spring roll and beef soup. I like the first two dishes a lot but beef soup wasn’t as fantastic as I imagined. Cute décor, parking in the back, wasn’t overly crowded. Next time I’ll try rice dish.

Banh beo was my favorite food growing up, and the banh beo here is delicious. That’s why every time I’m in the area with my mom, we stop by here. They come out in little dishes with a croûton in the middle(a cute twist on how they’re usually made). I like getting the Viet coffee(O_O) and we usually get a couple other dishes(a rice plate and bun bo hue). Yum, yum, and yum. Service is friendly and décor is nice. Cash only and parking lot is a little cramped but you can usually find a spot pretty easily!

Came here with a party of 10+. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We ordered the build your own spring rolls with some appetizers. Food came out on time and it was delicious. However, I was too hungry to have patience to make my own food so I’m getting the premade stuff next time !

Went with a friend on a Saturday for lunch and it was pretty packed. We didn’t realize it was cash only but thank goodness we had enough between us for two dishes. We got the summer rolls and a vermicelli bowl. The summer rolls are pretty interesting and the pork is good. The sauce is special too. The crispy shrimp roll is very crunchy. The vermicelli was a decent size and tasted okay. Overall, good Vietnamese food.

I came here before a couple years ago when it was still called Nem Nuong Ninh Hoa. I finalyl came back again because I was craving some banh beo. Yes, I love their banh beo. I love how they have the little small crunchy croutons in the middle. Banh beo is one of my favorites for Viet food! The parking situation can get pretty crazy if it’s a packed house inside, but overall it’s not as bad. You can always find street parking a block away too! Come here if you’re in SGV area for Viet food!

True vietnamese style hand-rolled spring rolls. Parking sucks sometimes, but you’ll find something around the block. Everything is so good here. I just hate leaving with smelly nuoc-mum hands, but there are restrooms and lemons to freshen up with. NEMNEUNGROLLS(PORKSUMMERROLLS) — I don’t like pork but this is the only type of pork I enjoy eating. Coupled with veggies and and crispy wonton sticks, I can eat this all day. Dip it in the spicy peanut sauce for a more tasty party in your mouth. BANHBEO(BUNBEO) — This is a popular and traditional Vietnamese item that is usually a staple when my family eats out, but I’m not a fan of it. However, this place makes it more enjoyable because the toppings and the fish sauce blend it all really well.

My bestie has been talking about this place forahhhver so we decided to stop by on a sunny Sunday afternoon for lunch. We arrived at 12PM and easily found a spot in their parking lot. Since she’s the pro here, I let her order for us: Nem Nuong(to wrap ourselves) Bun Bo Hue Com Tan Suon Nuong You’re probably thinking, why would I wrap it myself when I can pay less for them to do it? BECAUSE, you can customize each roll exaaaactly the way you want it, which I’m a huge fan of. We started off by dipping the wrappers into the warm water to soften it, and laid it flat onto the plate. Then, we grabbed the pork meatballs off the skewers, added a cucumber slice, shrimp egg roll, lettuce, and green onions(and whatever else tickles your fancy). I thought rolling everything together would be difficult, but it’s just like making a burrito – there was my perfect little summer roll in all it’s glory! And just like, I became a pro as well. The sauce is tasty with a dash of tanginess. I had a total of three fatty pork meatball filled summer rolls. THREE! So yummy! I tried a little of the Bun Bo Hue and thought it was okay. It reminded me a little bit of Beef Noodle Soup but with lime and lemongrass flavors in the broth. This was my least favorite of the three dishes. Next was the Com Tan Suon Nuong. I love the marinade on the pork, and the vinegar-y sour-y dipping sauce that comes with this dish. I ate as much of this as I could before reaching absolute fullness. I sat there for the rest of the meal with a smile on my face reflecting the pure happiness and joy that my tummy felt after this delicious meal. Service was great, super efficient and friendly! MUYIMPORTANTE: This place is cash only, so don’t forget that moneeyyyy or you’ll be a sad hungry kid.

I was skeptical when my friend told me we were going to nom on Vietnamese spring rolls. I had always thought of those as more of an appetizer so I wasn’t sure how this would go, having them as the featured dish. The answer is: AMAZEBALLS! the beef and pork tasted similar to me, but the rice paper wrapping was thin and the crunch provided by the fried shrimp(tempura?) on the inside was a delightful textural contrast. The cool and crispness of the herbs was a delight, and the sauce while sweet was a nice way to tie things together. The food was out and to us in just a few minutes. Super fast so either their chef is talented or they have them made a little bit in advance. Either way it was amazing. Price was fair. About $ 60 for three of us, but we ate enough to feed a family of 8. Portions were generous, 5 spring rolls to an order. How good was it? Well, next time I drive past the in’n’out that occupies the spot next door, I really WILL drive past it and come here instead.

Ohmygod, this place was SOGOOD! When going to a place called ‘Summer Rolls’, you know you’ve got to try them! There are four kinds: pork summer rolls(with shrimp egg rolls), just shrimp egg rolls summer rolls, beef summer rolls, and sour pork summer rolls. All were delicious, my favorite being the pork, and came with the amazing orange sauce! Service was great too, they kept the sauces coming for our big group! Other delicious things we ordered were: Dac Biet Banh Beo Chen(steamed rice cake with ground shrimp, croutons, and sauteed onions) that came in 12 little dishes and the pork chop with rice(delicious, huge portions). The bun bo hue was pretty standard though, nothing too special. Splurge more on the other items I listed! The employees are also very nice. They were happy to make us a hot Vietnamese coffee on a cold LA day, despite it not being on the menu!

C.A.S.H. O.N.L.Y Was craving for some phở, ended up coming to this place not knowing they have only one soup dish in here :/ We got #17 Charbroiled pork meatball & shrimp egg roll, which comes in great portion size at $ 7.50. Meatball is a little too sweet for me, I don’t know about the bun(It really tastes just okay to me) but the dipping sauce goes perfectly with it. We also got Charbroiled lemon grass beef with rice, which I think was way better than the bun… Not a big fan of viet food besides phở but their spring rolls are pretty good, I must say. Parking is super limited. There’s a parking lot but it gets crowded I’d go with street parking(: Love their interior design though! Packed with tables and chairs without it feeling cramped Definitely different from most other viet restaurants. C.A.S.H. O.N.L.Y

If banh beo is your thing, this is the best place for it in the area. These come individually on small saucers where they were steamed. You scoop it up with a spoon after adding some fish sauce to flavor them. Traditionally, they’re sprinkled with some deep fried cubes of pork fat, but they use a healthier(relatively) version using deep fried croutons instead. They also specialize in the Vietnamese cuisine where you wrap rice paper with lettuce and herbs and a variety of meats and crispy egg rolls. Their barbecue meatballs are well-seasoned and have great flavor. Summer Rolls only gives you one plate of vegetables, whereas many other establishments will give you a second plate for no charge. The service is what you would expect at a Vietnamese restaurant – not warm and cozy. They need to turn those tables.

I love going during lunch on weekdays(after 1:30pm) because there’s no wait. Otherwise, on weekends, there is a long wait for this restaurant. My favorites are banh beo(rice cakes) and nem nuong(make your own spring rolls). As someone who immensely despises fish, I thought I would hate the sauce that comes with the banh beo; however, I cannot get enough of this dish! As for the nem nuong, I remember when it was just a little bit cheaper and came with a little bit more veggies. It seems like they have been shortening the amount of veggies they give with the nem nuong each time. For the service, I appreciate that they do not check up on you until it looks like you are definitely ready to go. To pay for the check though, you need to go up to the cashier to pay. My friend go the Chef’s special because she was craving noodles. The dish seemed small, but then she could barely finish it. The noodles they use are flatter noodles; they are not phở noodles in case anyone was wondering.

Absolutely loved this place !! It was highly recommended so we definitely had to try it, and they didn’t disappoint. We ordered a number of dishes: the special steamed rice cakes(banh beo), charbroiled pork meatballs(nem nuong), fried shrimp cakes, and fresh lime soda(soda chanh). Everything tasted authentic and was reasonably priced. They were also known for their Nem, which are these bit-sized pickled chopped pork wrapped in foil. We even bought 3 bags to take home.

Yummy Spring Rolls. The Spring Rolls here are good. The crispy stuff is filled with shrimp, and the pork is soft and tasty. I also tried the bun(noodles) with pork, and it was big, and fresh tasting. The pork was like the pork in the spring rolls. My husband had the bun(broken rice) with beef. It was okay, but we didn’t like it as much as the pork. Also, their English isn’t that great here, so be patient. Sometimes you have to reiterate yourself, because they misunderstand you. The parking here is hell, because it gets so crowded. Try not to go during peak hours.

I’m not much of a connoisseur of viet food, but this was one of the better Viet places that I’ve gone to outside of my usual Phở shops. We came on a weekend for lunch. The wait wasn’t long, and it seemed like this place was really big inside with a lot of tables. Seems to be a really popular Viet place. We started off with the banh beo, possibly the best that I’ve had. One plate comes with about 12 of these rice cakes, each topped with a delightful amount of fried shrimp and scallions. I’m personally not a huge fan of raw scallions, so a pile of them forms on my plate by the end of the appetizer, but each bite was like taking a sip out of that piña colada by the pool on a cruise. I ordered a noodle dish next. It came with a generous amount of meat, and by generous I mean like how places usually give you a generous heap of scallions, but instead now replace the scallions with meat. So much meat and egg rolls that I couldn’t even see my noodles. There was also more than enough sauce to go with my noodles. Good thing the sauce was separate. That’s just a heart attack waiting to happen. However, there was nothing that really stood out to me about the noodles. It was just like throwing a bunch of meat and lettuce with some dry noodles into a bowl. All in all though, generous portions and great value.

If you’re not in the mood for Phở but want to try other specialized noodle soup bowls… then this is that place! A few of my favorites to order from their menu includes… Banh beo-which is a dish of steamed rice cakes with ground shrimp, sautéed onions and croutons! Bun bo hue — beef noodle soup bowl with pig’s blood/feet(this is definitely an acquired taste dish) Nem Nuong spring rolls — pork spring rolls(pretty tasty and up to par with Brodard) Cash only!

This place has the absolute BEST spring rolls(comparable to Broddard’s) and they also have this Lemongrass chicken rice dish that I keep coming back for. I’ve tried soup dishes here as well and they were also equally good. Portion sizes are great and I can never finish any entrée on my own so I would suggest ordering different things to share. Prices are pretty decent but bring cash since this place is cash only. On weekends and during rush hour there’s always a line so I would suggest calling in your order or come during off hours to dine in. Tip* Parking gets packed but you can park at the church next door

4 ½ stars. I hadn’t visited this establishment since it was remodeled and renamed. It was a hot Friday and I was craving spring rolls. I made my way over to the crowded parking lot and got lucky and found the last parking spot available in the private lot. Started off with a Thai ice tea– refreshing & rich tasting. Began the meal with an order of beef spring rolls — they were puffy and so delish, followed by an order of Bun bo hue and lastly an order of Banh hoi. First time trying the BBH here and the broth was spot on and was loaded with protein and noodles. The Banh hoi –broken rice, mints and various meats which I stuffed into leaves of lettuce and dipped into the semi spiced fish sauce was another hit. Overall, a solid lunch that tasted great, staff provided good service and reasonable. I definitely will be returning here soon. BTW It’s cash only.

Make sure you bring cash as it is cash only – on that note, also come early as there is always a line; weekday or weekend, you may need to wait a bit, if only for parking. The food is pretty good overall as well, the specials being their«make your own spring roll» featuring their popular nem nuong and other goodies. I highly suggest you get this one, for both experience and taste. The other spring rolls do no justice – the bo nuong(beef) has a weird after taste, and the texture is so unlike a moo-cow that it’s just off putting. The nem nuong special, on the other hand, features their specialty, along with their sour pork(also delicious), and their pork wrapped in banana leaves. You can’t go wrong with this option, though take note that they charge extra for additional veggies. Overall, however, a good joint for nem nuong.

Love the Nem Nuong Special made for two people(22) and banh beo(8). You can really taste the quality! The banh beo drizzle came with chili peppers separate. This is a smart move, some folks can’t handle the heat! Add the tiny peppers into the drizzle for that kick. The steamed rice cake was thick and chewier than usual which made it wonderful! The atmosphere is modern and the staff is friendly. I would take a date here. For real… or just a group of friends. The only thing missing was vermicelli noodles in the nem nuong. Cash only!
