We had a connection through Detroit on our way home from San Diego. I was very pleasantly surprised by the facility and the shops and restaurants that are available. We saw Waterworks on the way down the concourse to our connection. Since we had plenty of time we decided to stop for a quick bit. They had a very nice selection of food which was very good and the beer was cold. We were happy campers since we were to arrive very late back home.

One of the only airport bars I’ve ever been into with a good Bloody Mary AND good service… And I’m from New Orleans.

My husband and I grabbed a quick breakfast after a grueling weekend. Paula was a pleasant and quick waitress, even at such an early hour. Most of the breakfast options are basic, but they were great with portions. It really tasted like classic diner food, and it really hit the spot. OJ was a little small($ 3).

Food: They serve typical American bar food. Quality of food is decent. Nothing spectacular and nothing disgusting. Drinks: They have a full bar. About 6 beers on draft and have a various selection bottle beers both domestic and foreign. Colleague had bloody Mary and raved about it. Service: Not bad but not good, it appeared at the time they were understaffed. If in a rush do not dine here. Everything seemed to be lagged. Server was nice but just took a long time probably due to lack of staff

The waiter Ashley H was nice and helpful. That was the only positive attribute. The bartender was rude and not very helpful. I stood at the bar while he looked past me several times. I had a lottery ticket to turn in and when he finally got to me he said it was invalid and he couldn’t read it even though his scanner said it was a winner I had to walk 25 gates away to find another bar and they were so helpful and nice it took 2 seconds to cash in. DONOTGOTHERE if you want good bar service. The food was average.

Ate here on a layover last week. I got a patty melt and fries. I thought it was really good. It came out fast, and our server gave us some of the best service I’ve ever experienced anywhere. The price was good too! What’s not to like about that. If I’m ever in Detroit again, I’d eat at Waterworks again.

Fries were great, my Ruben was subpar, but the wait staff was really friendly and quick. :)

A turnip is more personable than my waitress. I wish I got the table next to me for that server sound excited to try to make a better tip. The meal is to be avoided with fries. Blech!

I didn’t add mayo mustard or anything!!! And it’s still good!!! It I’m just starved from my 9.5 hour plane ride but I’ll say it’s the good chef. The waiter was very nice and I asked for a super large water he brought 2. It’s clean and and its friendly

Grabbing a «quick» breakfast on our way for some holiday travels, WBG looked like an interesting option. In fact, it was not. Everything tasted generic and a bit off. From the flour in the pancakes which was notable, to the noticeably heavy grease in our bacon… hell even the cheese I requested in my scrambled eggs was weird. It wasn’t mixed in, but surely wasn’t toasted in a salamander… it was more than likely microwaved on after the eggs were already cooked. The service was friendly, if not… severely disinterested. None the less, if we’re on the same travel route we’ll hit it again. It was certainly edible.

I stopped here because it was close to my gate and they had several TVs with football on. I should have paid more attention. They are not clearings tables. I was able to clean one myself and have a seat. I saw at least 5 people leave because there we no clean tables. The service was ok. I saw servers standing around while there were dirty tables. The food was average. I had the Swiss mushroom burger. Not the worst but not the best. I had to ask for more water. In my view there are a number of places in the Detroit airport that are a better value.

Just passing through~ Grabbed lunch and it was good, I had the Philly cheesteak, my son the cheese quesadilla. A little higher priced, but to be expected since it’s Airport food. The tea was not very good on my visit though.

Terrible. $ 9+ for a beer with a server who could care less. Half the tables had travelers while the other half were dirty. I sat down at a dirty table and ordered a beer. The server made no attempt to clean the table, and eventually got me my beer. When it was time for boarding, I asked for my tab. The server shouted out a number to me and never returned with a receipt. A couple of times when he passed by I tried to give him my credit card, but he was too busy talking up beer with another table to pay attention. I did enjoy listening to his lack of beer knowledge. Eventually, I put a $ 10 on the table and left. On a good note, they have Keno!

My husband and I dropped in the other day while we were waiting for our transfer and we’re thoroughly surprised. The service here is awesome, our server was super friendly and made sure we got out food in time to make our flight. I had the Chicken Chili which had a nice amount of spice and was very filling. My husband got the BLT sandwich which we fantastic since it was loaded with bacon(mayo on the side).

Do NOT eat here. Just because you are stranded in Detroit doesn’t mean you have to eat this slop. They are slow, the wait staff is rude, you can hear the cooks yelling and cussing from the kitchen and when I left I watched one of the cooks use the restroom and not wash his hands. Disgusting. Whoever runs this place should be ashamed of themselves.

Stopped here on my layover. Food was pretty decent for airport bar food. Would come back again if I had the chance. I had there Rueben sandwich, salad and a beer. Nothing special, but I was good.

Super friendly staff! Nice break from the airport madness… Local beers on tap & loaded a potato skins! Well worth the detour if you’ve got a Detroit layover! They even have Keno available to entertain you at the bar!

Lisa at the bar is great! The food is good, the drinks are great and the service is fast. If you need a place to stop on your way stop at waterworks and see Lisa!

It’s airport food — and never lets you forgot that. Definitely better than what you would get on board but that’s really not saying much. On the plus side, the prices are really reasonable.

A 3hr layover has landed me here to booze it up and grab a bite to eat. Nearby is Quiznos, Hungry Howie’s Pizza, Fields, and PBJ. This is the«sit down» place. I sat myself and was talked to right away — which is good. Nobody wants to wait forever anywhere, especially in an airport.
