The panang curry is my staple, but I’ve tried the pineapple chicken curry and the chicken madness;both delicious. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu and the service is always great. And they deliver!

Great food, but pricey. The drunken noodle said it was made with shrimp and chicken for 12.45, the one I got didn’t have any shrimp on it. However it was very tasty and spicy. Their curry puffs are overpriced for 6.99 other restaurants sell the same thing for 3.95. If the price doesn’t bother you get it they are delicious. Their pad see eew noodle was a little dry to me. Overall you’re gonna get tasty Thai. Maybe the price reflects the area because Thai Cuisine has the same menu but cheaper and taste just as great. Most Thai restaurants are a hit or miss. I don’t think this is one of them.

Eathai is SOMUCHBETTER than the place that was there before them! I love Thai food, and live within walking distance of Eathai — but the previous owners were incredibly rude and the food wasn’t great. THESE folks are friendly and funny and have GREAT customer service. We now get take-out from there regularly. The food is always made the way we want it. ‘Spicy’ actually means spicy! The chicken satay is particularly wonderful — and is thick and juicy and the best I’ve had. And I am just so happy with the people — thanks, new owners, for doing it right!

Quick pick up when you are just craving Thai food. The drunken noodles are always extremely good. The prices are on par with all of the other local Thai food. The only down that I have had with this restaurant was that the pad Thai was a little mushy and didn’t taste that good. I would say normally the pad Thai is pretty delicious but from my last experience I probably will not be getting it for a while. I also got the chicken and basil over rice which was pretty tasty and papaya salad which is always delicious if you order via phone there is a 10% off coupon I did not know and I ordered through Unilocal which the coupon does not apply

Best thai restaurant we have eaten in. Fantastically food. Service has always been prompt and friendly. They treated me as i was regular even though it was my first time there. Crispy spring rolls are the best, Crispy basil chicken are outstanding. It was wonderful. Reasonably priced. I will be going back very often.

Great service and excellent food. Ambiance could use improvement. First rate duck roll. A must order. We had larb gai that was a generous portion and perfectly seasoned. Also enjoyed the kapow chicken. I highly recommend this place for the food, portion sizes and value.

I have eaten at this restaurant before and after the new ownership. It tastes the exact same as it always has. In fact, I have talked with the new owners who work in the restaurant. They have in fact been running the restaurant since January of this year with the same chefs. So I don’t know what previous comments are talking about.

Try EaThai for the first time today. We got drunken noodles with pork and pad thai with shrimp and pork carryout. Only took 10 mins for our order to be made. Pad Thai tasted delicious, not too sweet like some other places. Drunken noodles had a nice kick to it but, not insanely hot(we got medium heat). Would absolutely return to this place again.

5÷31÷2016 — EatThai is not the same as Thai House. I don’t think is no longer owned by Thai House. This is some other company. I was not impressed. I will drive to the Gaithersburg Thai House location on Snouffer School Road instead.

Is this new ownership? It was great as Thai House, ordered last night and saw the name was changed to Eatthai. The food was meh at best. Will I need to drive back to Gaithersburg to get my fix?

The food here is ah-mazing! I’m drooling just thinking about it! For starters, we had the Heavenly Wings(Chicken wings stuffed with crabmeat, shrimp, scallion). YUM! For the main course, we had the Panang Curry and Pattaya Noodles(Shrimp, squid and mussels stir-fried with wide rice noodles and string beans in spicy roasted chili sauce). Portions were HUGE and everything was super flavorful and filling. The staff were wonderful and the service was fast and friendly. Love it! I can’t wait for my next visit back to Thai House. The table next to us had the Goong Ob Woon Sen(Shrimp Noodle Clay Pot) and it looked delightful!

I compare all Thai restaurants to this wonderful place. The restaurant itself: quite small so definitely not a good place for big parties during normal lunch/dinner peak hours. Food: I would give this place 100 stars if I could. I do a rotation of their Drunken Noodles, Panang curry, Green Curry, Basil Fried Rice and Pad Thai and all are excellent. You can choose how spicy you would like your dish and be warned… a 3 may not sound that spicy, but it is and it’s great if you love spicy food. If not, I suggest getting a 1 level of spicy. The staff is always friendly and very attentive. If you’re looking for excellent Thai food, I definitely recommend Thai House.

Excellent food here! Hole in the wall place but the food is amazing. You can choose how spicy you want each dish which is the plus! I got a mild chicken curry and it was really good. And the Thai iced tea + mango sticky rice is ahmazinggg

This place is definitely good. I just think I had extremely high expectations because of all the great reviews. Their food was just good Thai food, nothing exceptional about it so I don’t quite understand the raving reviews for it. I’ve had much better Thai food before. I’ve tried their curries, drunken noodle, and pad thai. Been here about 3 – 4 times now. Service is always consistent, good and fast. So 4 stars for service + food. Food by itself would be a 3.

I’ve only gotten carryout but Green curry is the best I’ve had. They are not afraid to use spice either. 3 out 4 spice is spot on! second time getting carryout today and it still does not disappoint. Awesome authentic Thai food!

One of the most delicious Thai places I have been to in this hemisphere. Thai House is a tiny little place with a big, authentic flavor. Close your eyes while eating their Tom Yam soup and you might actually forget which continent you are on. Other favorites are the beef kapow and the panang curry(they make a wicked panang at this place). They will make everything as spicy or as not spicy as you want(go easy if you are unfamiliar with the Thai conception of spiciness). Prices are reasonable and average about $ 11 – 12 a dish. I’ve always ordered take out on arrival and never had to wait more than 15 minutes for my whole order to be filled, even when it was busy. It’s a simple place but I don’t understand people who knock off stars for no decorations on the walls. The food is unbelievable, worry about your own damn walls! and do yourself a favor and get an order of mango sticky rice, you know you want to

Food was really, really tasty! For those who like spicy foods, 4⁄4 star spiciness was awesome! Parking is a bit of an issue depending what time you go. The restaurant is a bit small, but you’re there to fill your stomach.

This is our go-to delivery/take-out place for Thai. It’s a small spot, but the food is absolutely delicious. My husband’s favorite is the green curry with beef. My father-in-law loves it as well and gets it as spicy as he can(if you like spice, this place has it in spades). I love the red curry with pork. The pad see ew is also wonderful(my daughter really likes it) — great noodles and flavor. And the basil fried rice is also a big favorite in our house. Great crunchy basil! Portions are perfect for at least 2 meals(everything comes with rice). Delivery can be an hour during busy times, or 20 minutes from ordering if you do take out. Seriously great Thai in Rockvile!

It takes a lot for a restaurant to impress me and this one did. After taking my first bite of my spring role appetizer I instantly knew that this was a good restaurant. It was the best spring role I had ever eaten! The food was absolutely delicious! The service was exceptional! I will definitely be coming back!

Hands down, best Thai food I’ve ever eaten. The service was phenomenal, even when the restaurant filled up. The food was great, and the time from ordering to eating was very low. The restaurant itself was clean and comfortable. I cannot recommend Thai House highly enough!

We have ordered delivery from Thai House for about a year now and it has been pretty good, but this past time around the crispy basil chicken was dry, leathery, and spicy even though we asked for no spice. I called the restaurant and was offered a 10% discount on a future order. I’m not sure I will be placing that future order.

4 stars for good home style carry out but only 3 if you dine in due to the lack of décor and all around sad ambiance. First, let me say, I dig spicy but have been finding their spiciness rating system to be very inconsistent the last couple of months; leaving me feeling like Goldilocks, 3= eyes watering, nose snotting, and an inability to even taste the usually perfect spicy Kee Mao which I’ve been enjoying at a 3 for 10 years. So, I turn the heat down to 2, but it’s got more heat than the 3, huh? Okay, I drop it down to a 1 this last time and it’s back to tasting like my regular 3. Get it together Thai House.

Dined here for lunch yesterday and boy was it a treat! I wish I had dined here sooner as its the best in this area compared to Ruan Thai, Navi Thai and Thai Taste of Kob. This place is tucked in a corner right off of Norbeck Road. Its a small restaurant and wasnt crowded at all. Service was professional and fast. We had Heavenly Wings, Shrimp Rolls(this was on the specials menu), Tam Yam Goong and Kee Mao(little spicy). All items were good and shared by two people. We couldnt finish it all. We took half of the Tam Yam Goong and half of the Kee Mao to go. We will return as we saw several other items on the menu that we want to try.

Solid panang curry and green curry! Great meal at a reasonable price for sure. 3 out of 4 spice was HOT! The place is a hole in the wall that doesn’t hold more than 25 people or so, but it’s well maintained and the food was worth going back for. This was our second trip, and everyone has really enjoyed everything they’ve ordered.

I’ve been a regular at the Thai House in Gaithersburg, so I was pleasantly surprised to know that they had opened up another shop in Rockville, and couldn’t wait to try it out. The verdict: yes, it’s as good as the one in Gaithersburg, in terms of the food. The ambiance remains that of a tiny yet decent place. We managed to hop in kind of late, but they agreed to serve us, and the food came out in minutes. The server was kind and understanding, and did stop by several times to ask if we’re doing okay, and if we needed anything else. Overall, this restaurant manages to dish up the most scrumptious thai food in the area, and that too without burning a hole in your pocket.

Consistently good food but consistently long wait times(from time of order to table). Food is not good enough(in comparison to other Thai restaurants in the area) to justify these wait times — especially when others receive their food sooner/it doesn’t seem to depend on what is ordered.

Amazingly good Thai food for this part of the country(Pacific North-West is my baseline for good Thai food). I’ve only had the spicy crispy chicken and green curry so far, but both are amazing and I crave them far too often. My only gripe: If I am craving pick-up on the way home from work… I am out of luck. They are closed from 2:30 till 4:30 pm. Update: My menu favorite is now their Panang Curry with Chicken.

We saw this place and decided to stop by on 4th of July. The décor was nice. There was a lady getting take-out, but otherwise the dining room was empty. However, the waitress was a little frantic — she did not get to us until the take-out customer left. Seems like she was doing double duty. Midway through our meal another party of 2 came. Food we ordered: — Papaya salad: good balance of flavor. It is supposed to be sour and spicy(we got«little spicy»), and eaten in small quantities. We shared it, and it was sufficient. Only one single shrimp, though. — pad thai vegetarian: the taste was slightly sweeter than what we are used to, but was pretty good. The noodle was thinner than I expected, so that also changed the experience. I think the noodle was slightly undercooked. I would not get it again. — kee mao: wide noodle with egg, chicken and squid. This was by far the best noodle dish I’ve ever had. I got it «little spicy» and it was just right for me. The flavors were rich, like a party in my mouth! I’m glad I requested squid instead of shrimp. Husband kept asking for more, especially since his pad thai was not all that great. After reading the other Unilocal reviews, I am glad we didn’t get the curry. But I would come back here again for the Kee Mao. And«little spicy» is spicy enough for me!

Some other dishes weren’t quite as good. As fun as Beef Kapow sounds for someone who watched Adam West Batman reruns as a kid, it’s underwhelming. I was expecting more fireworks, I guess. Definitely a very good option nonetheless.

Wow, I don’t know how this place has almost 5 stars… I’ve been to both location & this one is no 4 in a half star place. Thai food signature dish is pad Thai & you can tell a lot by a place by judging their signature dish. This one was way too sweet! It needed some more crushed peanuts & maybe some lime wedges to balance out the sweetness. Another popular dish in Thailand is green curry, ours came out white & very watery. I asked are you sure this is green curry & the waitress said yes that they added coconut milk b/c we asked for medium. It is nice that this place ask what spice level you want in a dish from mild, medium, to hot. But medium you expect a little heat not mild which is what we got. Now this it’s the best thai restaurant I’ve been to but it’s isn’t the worse either. I just can’t believe some of the reviews saying this is very good, maybe their other location in Gaithersburg. So if you are really looking for a good Thai restaurant try their Gaithersburg location much better.

What makes this place a 5 star is simple. Thai food is all about balance. And the majority of places in the DC area don’t ever find balance. That’s just not the case here. The chef at Thai House has mastered balance. It’s not to be missed. First I love this place because they use a 1 – 10 rating system for spiciness. And they have all 10. Second, the value is great. You effectively pay the same as any Thai place but the portions, and I don’t think I’m exaggerating are double most places. The service was spot on for a family place. CLearly they weren’t professional waiters but service was attentive, consistent, and comfortable. The food was paced properly, and it was always hot. And now to the best part. The Food. It was great. I’ve been to Thailand a few times and this is about as close as I have gotten in the DC area to that experience. Apps: Golden Triangles — Maybe the only item that was take it or leave it. Papaya Salad — We got it very spicy and it was very good. The best I have had in the are hands down. Not to be missed if you are a fan. Num Tok — In hindsight I wish we had ordered it spicier then a 5 but live and learn. It was tender, flavorful, and not overbearing in any one area. Spring Rolls — I was expecting nothing special here but I was wrong. When they are served freshly fried using fresh ingredients, everything just pops. Soup: I should mention I am a soup fan and basically lived on soup while in Thailand. And though nothing compares to those soups, and here the Typhoon soup wasn’t even close, it was still very tasty. Kuagai — I feel like I keep repeating myself and I am but it was just great. The chicken was tender, the noodles were fresh, the spices were baanced. Panang Curry — Maybe the only main dish that wasn’t what I expected. In my opinion it was too peanuty. Still good flavor but slightly over-powered by the peanuts Spicy Eggplant — It was eggplant and it was spicy. Can’t argue with truth in advertising. My only bash, and I am looking for issues quite frankly, the eggplant could have used a bit more cooking time. I should reiterate. Order half the number of dishes you normally do. The portions are big!
