Driven Dynamics

This is a difficult review to write. I’m giving three stars because the actual tinting of the windows on my car was first-​rate, as it has been in the past. This is the third time I brought a car to this business for tinting. The current vehicle I brought in, a 2007 Audi S8, needed to have the side windows tinted — which went perfectly — along with previous tint removed from the rear window and replaced. This is where things didn’t go so well. I relayed to the gentlemen working on the car that they should not attempt to remove the rear electric sunshade because it would be very difficult to reinstall, per advice from an Audi service advisor. They said that would not be a problem. I left the car with them and picked it up the next day (a Tuesday) and did not attempt to operate the sun shade until the tint had a chance to dry.
When, the following Saturday, I pressed the button, I heard a popping sound and the two metal bars that raise and lower the sunshade raised on their own; I was lucky they did not scratch the tint, but the plastic parts holding everything together were broken in several places. When I called, they said they had to press down the top of the sunshade in order to remove the tint because it was sticking up a bit, but that was all they did. Once I was able to go back there and take a look, it doesn’t appear that I can be fixed. What should have been a $ 200 job will, in fact, turn into a $ 500 job once I purchase and replaced the sunshade mechanism. For now, the shade is in the up position (I have children that ride in the back, so I needed it to be up to protect their eyes). I’ll eventually purchase a new mechanism and install it, but it is not a priority right now.
Do I recommend their window tinting? Very much so. Would I have them fiddle with another Audi with a sunshade and steeply raked rear window… no.

This auto tint shop did a good job installing the tint in both my wife’s Tiguan and my M3. I did return both vehicles back to Driven Dynamics to have some bubbling tint replaced, but there was no issue doing so. The managing partners and staff obviously stand behind their work and commitment to quality. Now both cars are perfect. I will be taking my wife’s Tiguan back to Driven Dynamics to have a clear bra installed. These guys are passionate professionals you can trust.

Got my car tinted when I got my car back in November of 2014. The service was great. Gilbert went over the different types of films they carried and the benefits of each type of film. I went with their 35% FX Premium all around. No dust or bubbles. The tint still looks great from day 1! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to get a tint job. Also be sure to schedule in advance because they are appointment only.

I came here 2 years ago to get my tints on my first car, and back then, I would have given it 5 stars because I called and drove in 5 minutes later. I would say 3 stars is only because of the time I had to wait to get my tints.
I called in early May and they told me the earliest appointment they could do is 2 and a half weeks from then. I was disappointed but went with it because I like the quality work. Overall, you will love the work they do and they only go with good quality tints which tells you a lot about their experience and knowledge in what tints are best for a car. If you want cheap tints, don’t come here and you’ll end up spending more on tints over the life of your car instead of just coming here once.

Gilbert did a great tint job on my Audi Q5. It’s been over 4 months now and the tint looks great with no bubble or wavy lines. I was going to get the 5 percent tint on my Audi and he strongly advise not to get the 5 percent because the hassle from Montgomery County finest is not worth the trouble.
So I went for the 20 percent tint and it looks great.
He even put a sticker on my window switch as to not to roll down the window cause I can forget.
He recommended some products to buy also to keep my tint clean.

This place is great! Flawless installation for tint. I have seen high end cars being detailed to perfection. Gilbert, the owner is down to earth and will get whatever is needed done for you. They are very accommodating with your schedule.

Driven Dynamics went above and beyond in upgrading the cosmetics on my BMW M235i. Gilbert and co. were friendly, courteous, and did a fantastic job with the wrap work. They seem to be known for their tint services, but I can confidently say that they are world-​class in installing vinyl wraps and clearbras as well. They also performed a few non-​standard cosmetic mods for me that came out with great results. I am very happy with their level of service, which was both timely and reasonably priced. They deserve your business and I highly recommended them!

Have used driven dynamics multiple times with varying difficulty in paint protection film and cannot complain one bit. Their communication is always great which is huge in my book. Have never had a problem with timing as they are always quick to get work done. Would highly recommend them.

Gilbert did the tints on my lexus back in 2007 when he worked there. Now he bought the place and became the owner. 8 years later the tints still look great! Would definitely recommend Gilbert and his business.

This place is awesome and Gilbert provides great service! I loved that they were open on Sunday and removed my tint in under 2 hours. I would highly recommend this place and don’t be fooled by the outward appearance… the service is sooo worth it!

I went in not knowing much but they educated me quickly, gave me great advice, told me what’s legal for tint and did a fantastic job putting it in. One year later and still no bubbling and no fade.

I figured I should wait a little while before reviewing so I don’t make any quick judgements. Anywho, I brought my 2002 BMW 325i here to get my windows tinted obviously. I opted for the basic 3M tint with lifetime warranty, going for legal 35%. They set me up with an appointment and told me it would take roughly 3 hours on the phone.
When I entered, I soon met the person I spoke with over the phone and discussed my options. He was very knowledgeable and let me know what is legal and what isn’t. He was very friendly and also a fan of BMW’s so I had no problem talking with him compared to other shops where the associates are rude and come off as holier than thou.
I decided what I was going with and he took my key and begun the process. I sat in the waiting room, which was full of automotive mags and other various ones, while watching a pretty interesting movie on their TV. The whole process took about 4 hours total, due to some complications, but overall was worth it. Their prices are very competitive and hard to pass up on.
Couple months later and I noticed there were some bubbles on a few windows so I gave them a call. Without hesitation, he set me up with another appointment. I went there, they looked it over, came back and told me there were 4 windows that had imperfections. They were willing to replace all, free of charge, but I only opted for 3 because the fourth one wasn’t that noticeable.
Overall, everything looks great. Tint will never be completely perfect and I have come to understand that after looking at other cars with tint done at various other shops, some very expensive. The only gripe I have is the wait time, but it’s worth it for the price.

Over the years I have had four cars tinted here, and haven’t had a single problem with quality/​bubbles/​customer service/​etc. The prices are reasonable for the services provided, and remember, you’re paying for a vetted shop which is polite and respectful, and will install your tints professionally.
On my most recent tints, the installer accidentally bumped a vent clip in my car. You’re probably thinking this place is terrible for breaking stuff in my car, right? Wrong. Not only did he tell me it happened (he could have easily not have said anything, and I probably wouldn’t have noticed until months later), but he offered to pay for and order the replacement part. In the end, I ordered it and they reimbursed me. I can only imagine how differently this would have ended up had I chose a $ 100 5-​window special on Groupon. «Broken clip? What clip? It was like that when we started.»
I HIGHLY recommend this place. Believe all of the 5 star reviews, and don’t risk your car on some other random business.

I had my tints done in January but I wanted to wait to write a review to make sure everything dried out well. So now that the film is all dried and the few bubbles that were there have all disappeared I ABSOLUTELY LOVE my new tints and would highly recommend Driven Dynamics! They are extremely professional and gave me great advice on which film to choose because I had a tough time choosing which film to get. I originally was going to go with the 3m scotchtint fx-​pm but last minute decided to upgrade to the Colorstable from fx-​pm after the manager took us out and showed me the the tints on different cars. I just preferred the color of the Colorstable film on the cars. The tint job did take a little bit longer than expected but I appreciate that they took the time to do a great job rather than rushing it. I would highly recommend Driven Dynamics to anyone looking to get some awesome tints!

This is my second car that I brought to get my windows tinted. Great service, very professional. Takes about an hour and your done. Takes a day or two for the bubbling to go away an it will for sure. Look on there website there is a 15 dollar off coupon that you can print out an use even tho the date says it’s expired. 5 starts I would recommend them to anyone !!

Their 3M tint doesn’t compatible with my back window. You can’t see a straight line thru interior rear mirror, so when i drive, I can’t even see a perfect form of cars thru rear mirror. I asked them that what they could do about it. They said I had to pay one hundred dollar more for whatever gonna cost me, like labor fee and film. I was disappointed because that was not what i paid for. At last, I never went there.
They also didnt return calls, even when they promised that they would call me back at a certain time. bad experience.

Good to see all these great reviews — wish I could have had a similar experience but repeated calls for estimate were never returned. Not good.

This review is a bit late. got my tint as a birthday gift last year from my BFF. My Maxima looks great with the 35% 3M metallic tint. Really keeps the heat out especially on my black leather seats. No bubbles in the tint! A few when its first placed but after a few days of drying they went away. After a year of having the tint, there has been no peeling. Plus, they do offer a lifetime warranty.
It took a few hours but time flew since we walked across the street to grab something to eat while it was being worked on. The gentleman who placed the tint on was efficient and very customer friendly.
Will return!

I went to get My Brand New 2013 VW GTI windows tinted. I shopped around based on Reviews. I waited 2 hours to have my windows done. But It is very comfortable in the wait area Big fllat screen TV with cable. Or you can take a walk over the bridge were there is a Giant food store, and some other stores. The staff is Awesome!
It would be good to drop your car and have a friend pick you up or bring some food and drinks with you. My Tint came out great, I went back a week Later with my friend who had her 2 front windows on her Lexus truck tinted. I would recommend this place to a friend. The tint Looks Great
