First, let me say I do not stay in Rock Hill but I am from here. I came home for a visit all the way from Raleigh. Before coming I contacted Typhena to see if she had any availability and she booked me for Friday at 12pm. I was really excited because I’ve seen her work on my family members and I was pleased. I was really looking forward to finally having her do my hair. The Facebook reviews were also good… all Lies and just family members and friends giving 5 stars. Well, let’s just say I should have just went to my stylist in Raleigh. Well, I arrived at my set appointment time and I noticed right away that I was going to have a bit of a wait. There was one lady in the chair getting her hair done and three ladies waiting. I calmly said hello to Typhena and then sat down in the waiting chairs. I kept thinking to myself maybe she will see me by 12:30pm being that I arrived promptly at my set appointment time of 12pm. Boy was I wrong. By the time 1pm hit I was getting pissed. Then I saw another lady walk in and she sat down. Then to my surprise 1:30pm rolled around and guess who sat in the chair ahead of me after only waiting 30 minutes? The lady that had just sat down 30 minutes ago. Instead of making a scene I decided just to get my things and leave and as I was doing so Typhena finally decides to ask are you waiting on me? I looked at her and it took everything in me not to curse her out. @&^$@*&$^&*@ What do you mean am I waiting on you??? You set a 12pm appointment for me didn’t you? Instead of saying what I really wanted to say I told her that I have been here for an hour and a half and I have to go because I have to pick up my niece soon. Do you think she apologized or anything… NOPE! She just went back to her chair and proceeded to do the other customers hair. It actually seemed like she had an attitude with me. I guess she feels that she has enough clientele that this one customer that I set an appointment with does not matter. I thought it was very rude and I was shocked. I went back and discussed my experience with family members that had been to her and that know her and I was informed that this is how she operates. I thought about reaching out to her and expressing my concerns but I know that it would not matter because apparently she has been doing this to a lot of people but no one ever says anything they just let her get away with it. And honestly I did the same thing by not saying anything at the shop. I did not say anything because I wanted to avoid any kind of confrontation. At the end of the day I will never go back to this shop because it is obvious that the customers are not valued. It is obvious that the stylist has a horrible attitude and does not care about the next persons time. I understand that when you go to a salon you will not always get into the stylist chair right away… but if I am going to wait for an hour and a half I expect the stylist/owner to treat me like she at least feels half way bad about the wait. I did end up going to my aunt Glo at Sensational Styles and she definitely worked it out for me at the last minute. **Side Note: there is also a barbershop at this salon and this review does not reflect their services. In fact I do highly recommend Stan.**
