Showers & Weddings: Tango Café @ the Jonathan Child House is the perfect place for an intimate wedding, bridal shower and/​or rehearsal dinner. You will be surrounded by the elegance and charm of this historic Greek revival mansion. Our Special Events Coordinator will provide the individual attention you need to make your wedding an occasion to remember.

Dance Packages: If there is one way to add joy into your life, it’s through dance. We have packages in Salsa, Argentine Tango, Ballroom and Samba de Gafieira to help you learn and discover what you need with what you can afford. We look forward to finding something that’s perfect for you.

Meet the Business Owner

Kerri V.

Business Owner

Kerri Vaughn became an entrepreneur in 2008. She was living on her 60 acre farm near Syracuse, NY and working as a Business Analyst for a company with a strong entrepreneurial culture. During her spare time, Kerri was an avid dancer in Syracuse’s Salsa scene and had hopes of turning her farm into a dance retreat upon retirement.

Through dance connections in Rochester, NY, Kerri learned that the Tango Café Dance Studio was up for sale. She decided to put her corporate experience to the test. Along with a partner, Kerri took the plunge into being an entrepreneur. Over the next six years Kerri had more than doubled revenue and solidified her brand. In 2013 & 2015 the Tango Café Dance Studio was voted Rochester’s Best Dance Studio in the annual City Newspaper business survey. In 2014, Kerri moved to the historic Jonathan Child House in downtown Rochester where she continues to offer a variety of dance classes, dance socials, live music concerts, and private parties.
